Fun fact: Chris Columbus was originally set to direct all of the Harry Potter films. However, he realized that by doing so, he would miss out on seeing his children grow up and decided to pass on directing the subsequent films. He remained on board for the third film as a producer but after filming wrapped, he ultimately decided to end his involvement with the HP franchise.

It's probably just a pet rat. They're harmless and fairly clean, and Rupert looks like he's pretty comfortable around him. They're also smart little critters, and curious too, judging by how he's snooping around at the prop wand :)

I would give my left toe to be able to see Columbus direct more of the movies if not all of them. i don't hate 4-8 cause OOTP is my second favorite after Azkaban but the movies started to feel more like every other dystopian young adult franchise as it went on. I mean you can get darker and more adult but still keep the enchantment of magic and I feel 4-8 didn't do that as well. Columbus did the first 2 and then was a producer for the 3rd I just wish he had a hand in the later films is all. Daniel speaks so highly of him as well it would have been cool to see imo.
