- Disney continue to suffer backlash online and now it seems they are suffering some backlash from their own actor in Rachel Zegler who liked a tweet attacking all of Rachel Zegler's cast members and co-workers for not supporting her throughout the backlash. But the question remains, why didn't Disney support Rachel Zegler? Did they actually agree with some of the audience backlash or are they just avoiding the controversy? Or have they seen some of the hypocrisy of Rachel Zegler as she attacked Jeremy Renner then complained when people attacked her in the same manner.

The backlash didn’t become as big as it was because she was cast, it became that when the interviews were leaked of her hating snow white and then wanting the prince removed and changing Snow White entirely. Considering Disney put her up to it, it really would behoove them to at least stick by Zegler as she faces consequences. Personally, I think they are trying to set her up as a scapegoat for the whole woke backlash, when in the grand scheme of things, she is merely a symptom of a much more pervasive rot throughout the company. The people who hired her, the people who insisted that she be a strong empowered girlboss in every film, are far more to blame than Zegler is. What sealed my mistrust in Zegler is when she suggested her co-stars scenes could get cut with complete apathy just because he plays her love interest. Treating people like they're less than you only shows who is really lower class, and it couldn't have been what Disney fed her. I can't support anyone that looks down others for no reason except their own ego.
I worked in a TV making factory back in the day. I got a fair wage for the TV but I did not get extra money everytime the TV was used, regardless what dress I was wearing.

I am sorry, but her previous attitude towards her costar where she said "his scenes can be cut off" with blatant disrespect and disregard of the person's hard work and acting like an entitled, spoiled pampered brat, had made me lose all respect and interest in her. If she can't even bring herself to apologise for the mistake she made and blame fans for calling out her rude attitude, and then think people would accept her "change of tone and attitude" then, she is living in a delusion. Her mentioning the possibility of his scenes getting cut reminds me of an episode of The Big Bang Theory, in which Penny lands a guest role on NCIS. However, by the time the episode airs, her ONE scene is cut entirely and she is DEVASTATED. Even if this movie flops, and we all know it will, this could open the door for Andrew's career, so for her to say something like that makes her even more cruel since, if the editors actually cut his scenes, she could be responsible for screwing him out of a career.

It’s also amazing that she is calling out her fellow cast members for lack of support when she made comments about believing Andrew Bump’s character wasn’t needed and joked about him being cut from the movie because of it, hence where the “that’s Hollywood, baby!” came from.

To be fair, in the original, the prince isn't in the movie for very long and isn't really important until the last bit of the movie, and if what Zeigler said was true about how Snow White wasn't going to be saved by the prince, he pretty much doesn't have a role in the overall movie. That being said, it's still absolutely cruel and irritating for her to say something like that, especially since, now that the movie is being delayed till 2025, that could actually happen if there's an idiot in the editing room. It's like in an episode of The Big Bang Theory where Penny gets a part in NCIS, which could have been a good role to boost her acting career, only to find out it was completely cut and she became devastated. If Andrew's scenes do get cut, then I will be so heartbroken for him.

Actually, i don't think problem is only about Rachel Zegler, it looks like problem of modern generation of actors. Before there was no social networks or they were not so big part of people life's, so new actors had no experience of dealing with the public, so they learned from they colleagues and/or were lectured by studio managers what to say and what not to say no matter what. So rules like "Do not say anything against your own film no matter what", "Just don't say anything if you can't say something nice" or "Think before saying something on public" were the first thing they learned. But nowadays this control of Hollywood studios is considered toxic, young people already have some experience in social networks and nobody thinking before posting something in social networks is the reality, so there is no more serious lectures from the studios and everything depends from the person. Like if you have brain you will be sitting quiet and will be learning from your colleagues, or if you don't have brain you wouldn't be looking at your colleagues, you will be saying everything what's on your mind without thinking or choosing the right words and without thinking about consequences. Like good examples are Tom Holland and Zendaya - I don't remember any scandal around them, except maybe when Tom said some spoilers for the upcoming marvel films, but it can be planned by the studio themselves, so... But the bad examples are Brie Larson and Rachel Zegler - they act as if they are perfect and they are the smartest people in the world and they can't be wrong, so when they say some stupid bullshit and criticized for it, they act like 5 year old children - call everyone "toxic" and trying to explain why they are right and everyone are wrong...🤦♀

I think the worse thing Disney and staff could do would be to support Rachel, the things she said are out there and they’ve had to do damage control and spend more money because of it. She's a very confused, and troubled young woman. I hope she gets the help she needs, and that she avoids the woke mob that has caused all of her problems.
something i find truly frustrating about the constant Rachel Zegler controversies that no one else has talked about (as far as i know at least) is the fact that, at this point, it’s not even just that her insensitive statements are harmful or disrespectful to others- it’s also literally harmful and disrespectful to Rachel herself!! 😅🥲

I didn't have much of an opinion on this whole thing until I watched her for the first time in the Hunger Games movie and I agree, it's a shame that she's actively tanking her own career like this. She's a good actress and a good singer but this attitude will nullify all of that if she's not more careful.
As a white male, I wouldn't support Rachael in anything beyond a 30 second commercial where she jumps around holding her stomach and then butt, while singing the pepto bismol theme song.

Going political is a short-cut to success for people who lack the chops to make it on merit. Fortunately, it comes at the cost of tying the actor's career to a political fad, which may or may not go out of style real quick.

There's a famous St Padre Pio confession where the Devil came to his confessional. St Pio said that he would blame everyone else for his sins, it was never his fault and he would use wordplay to try to deflect the wrong he had done, never actually apologising. It's diabolical in spirit.

Public apologies tend to ring hollow. The apologizer is often not sorry at all, except in the sense of being sorry about being reprimanded. And they recite platitudes about correct behavior that they obviously don't care about much. When I was nine, I forgot to write down a homework assignment and was punished by having to write an essay about the virtue of paying attention. I really sucked up with my rhetoric, because I didn't want to be punished any further. In reality, I didn't much care.
I had no idea who this person was unit I realized I disliked her for her public appearances about Snow White
Well, the two main problems i personally saw with her as the chosen actress for the role were she had never liked and thus never respected the original film (which should have been cause enough to pass her over) and two the defining characteristic of Snow White was her "skin white as snow" and disney casting an actress who did not fit that description was a fairly strange move.
You can tell Disney has a muzzle on her and you can see she hates its🤣🤣
