With no doubt, Appam is an all time favourite dish. Be it as a breakfast item, part of meal course during lunch or dinner; it can get through real easy. Made from the batter of ground mixture of rice and coconut milk, this yummy dish is just yummy yum yum. Appam can be accompanied with veg dishes and non veg dishes really well. Also known as Palappam or Vellayappam at various places, its' rich, tasty, filling and healthy. Apparently, all goodness in a single plate. Thank you Shan it came out perfectly I used a bit more water to mix and as mentioned it was due to weather difference mine fermented quicker .
I have never tried this ready made rice flour method .. it's a wonderful quick method. I think I will be following this method more than the tedious soaking and grinding.process...the taste is the same 👍👌

This is an amazing recipe. My most favorite dish in this world is vellappam with butter chicken, egg stew or chicken stew. I used this recipe atleast 4 times and every time it came out so perfect 🥰 Just one query Shaan, instead of water, can I add coconut water 🥥 to make it more coconut rich? I love coconuts. I hope the batter doesn't turn into toddy if I add coconut water 😆😂
