Loved this ! My grandfather had a banjo and this gave me much memories and joy 😊. I play an accordion and respect anyone carrying these and marching in a parade for miles😮
Me too! Would like to know if there are string bands in the Mid-West? Or, at least, CD's of their performances? GREAT SOUNDS! Good marching order; especially playing good music. BUT WHO DESIGNS THOSE CRAZY COSTUMES?
Love this group😊 yearsago we in Haford Ca. Looked forward New Years Parade that was televised. Just found the Quaker grp by chance andenjoyed the memories of the Mummer's parades.
This is just a Street Band. Street Bands play important roles in their communities. They serve a multitude of functions, from village celebrations to political actions. These bands play for processions and parades, for dances, rituals, weddings and funerals, civic and state occasions dances and fairs.
I feel bad for the guy he just took the time to post this and everyone trashes everyone be grateful people are doing this and not holding it in their personal archives. I don't think he knows the grammar police are after him LOL and by the way that is Fralinger serenading Quaker City🎉

Does anyone anywhere have 1973 , and 1974 new years or convention hall videos. Thanks
I was wrong. This is not the Quaker City Band, the Fralinger Band.
Add a BUT before the Fralinger
Band to further correct my early statement.
Almost as good as polka🎉

Serination: the act of singing aloud. singing a song out loud to a special person. Form of serinade.
