That "vintaged" and slowed down footage 3:35 - 3:50 looks and sounds fantastic.
fredadhbit - I agree with your comments well done - Regards
Absolutely realistic, seems to match real aircraft in all characteristics from takeoff to lan ding. More so than many scaled models. Appearance also very realistic, shows great care, love and dedication in its construction.
M8 awsome wings one thing though id tighten up the dummy exhaust stacks especially the stbd side too authentic looking to loose them les from hunua jst over the hill from ardmore
Beautiful machine! And incredible flying! Loved the vintage-look filming, Bruce!
My all time favourite aircraft and beautifully flown. What a GEM. Thanks Bruce for sharing
Beautiful build!, nicely flown. AND it's also made of the same material as the real thing how authentic is that!. (Great videoing thanks Bruce!)
What a beautiful model of the Mosquito and one that is flown well too, great guys as well prepared to talk about their model.
Nicely captured too Bruce.
My late father would have loved this, he used to say the most excitement he ever had was at 400mph looking sideways at chiney pots and roofs. He was a man who very rarely spoke of what he did in the war.
Great video. Lovely scale flying.
Nice camera work and edit Sir! Excellent interviewing too. The only one thing I couldn't stop thinking while watching the flight was that you could have asked the guys if you could install just temporarily the DJI camera + VTX on it. On this scale the weight wont be much of an issue. The dad would have been blown away for sure!
great job on the blowen up plan the mosquito really looks and fly's great
Fantastic model, sounds beautiful 👍😎
Looks like a Mossie in the air sits as per the original, sound of the twin motors works really well. Flown realistic with authority, all round well done, I do hope its still flying...
So cool the way that sounds...
I absolutely love everything about this model, especially the sound, and your vintage style and scale shots are divine.
One of the best presentations I have seen ! Excellent everything - original, model, flying and footage ! It was worth of time spent ..
To fly a model aircraft that you built from scratch must be a great feeling. I’m sure they are proud of their achievement, & they deserve to be.
That looks and sound amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Veeeery nice Mossie, looks & sounds awesome!
Beautiful aircraft. Nicely done.
What a great pleasure to see this flying. Great video skills Mr. Simpson!
That's a real beaut! Superbly flown and presented, sir. Lovely !!
Another big beautiful bird.
Beautiful craft, great film effects.Thank-you for sharing.
Superb! These things look great in the air and it flies like it's on rails
Sound great and flys like a dream love it.
Stunning. Remember following KA114 avidly at the time, all the guys at Avspecs in Ardmore still doing wonderful stuff.
beautiful, cheers Bruce :)
Beautiful model and great visual effects, Bruce!
Wonderful model.

That sounds amazing.
Beautifully done . ;)
Oh man! Your spoiling us! E.E. Lightening and now this!😍😍
Beauty build chaps ! Also having a mossie I know that rudder input to make her turn feeling 😂 lovely flight chapper.
Very nice scale flying!
Beautiful model in the hands of a competent pilot. Could be a first for this channel...
Oh, Steven! BAD doggie... ;-)
I started the build of a Brian Taylor 1:8th scale Mosquito about 4 years ago as a tribute to Kiwi RNZAF/RAF pilot Max Sparks, who piloted the #2 aircraft (HX982 - EG-T) on the famous Amiens prison break mission latterly called 'Operation Jericho'. My family moved into his home near RAF Brize Norton back in 2013 after he passed away and we found out who the previous owner was.
Most of the wooden airframe is done but I lost motivation on the project due to family commitments, but I still mean to finish it at some stage soon. I hope it looks half as good as the model in this video - great job - though I think they should have gone with 4-strokes rather than the two-stroke strimmer engines :D Never liked the sound of a two-stroke on a scale warbird.
Beautiful airplane!!! 😮
Nice plane nice edit Bruce.
Beautiful job, I want one!
Ooooh lovely!!!
Nice edit Bruce, I see what you were going for there....man that plane is an absolute beauty !! I'm a quad pilot, never flown wing, but that sure looked like good piloting !!
Nice one mate! 👍🇳🇿
03:45 fantastic editing Bruce 👍
As a non modeller I was wondering why a pair of 3 bladed props were not used as much for the look as anything, Great video and flying! A beautiful model, just like the real thing!
Very good.
Often wondered what Fraser was doing these days. Used to enjoy watching the Vegas 3D competition coverage all those years ago. Awesome model and flying. That Mossie is 3 times bigger and more Impressive than mine. Cheers Bruce
Awesome just awesome
awesome...
Sweet plane wow
Beautiful model, love the oldie worldie filming while taxing , could do with flares for target marking -- well done
W@@Wzers Super Fine Scale! Thanks Mates
Lovely
Awesome sound, and footage 👍
I love the crackly Film Shot you put in lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍 looks really cool , it reminds me of the old dam busters 😁👌
fredadhbit - I agree with your comments well done - Regards
The 1960s video on taxi! Brilliant!
sweet!
Nice take two ..... feeling spoiled today Bruce!
We would love access to the plans please, if that is possible? Exemplary flying, adorable model, fantastic video!
Love it. Amazing. 009
That's a nice Mosquito, and love the background story, that initially the build was put on ice, because of the cost of the materials, and then eventually it got built on even bigger scale. Seems to fly really well, and the "vintaged" footage was very convincing too, just like with the ME262. Only the sound didn't really feel like a twin Merlin engine, maybe you can change that on a next video. But that's just nitpicking, because it's already so great, you start to pay more attention to small things that could have been better.
WOW
Stunning plane one ov my all time favourite planes all I can see missing is guns and bombs
It even sounds scale!
Beautiful job of a n iconic plane well done guys, is that contra rotating props I spy?
hey bruce, when are you guys there? id love to come round this weekend!
Guess had to keep the 262 locked in a hanger when that was up flighting
Could you imagine trying to fly that only 400 feet from you?? LOLOLOL
Your airfeild has white snow in the winter and black snow in the summer .
De Havilland mosquito my favorite World War II fighter bomber
What a beauty! Are those 20 mm cannons in front?
Nice model - shame it sounds like a Lambretta club! I was at the Barton (UK) show when the Hawarden one died.
Looks great. Did they say why they went with 2 bladed props instead of three bladed like the actual mosquito's had.
You need more power to spin a 3-blade prop of the same diameter. Which means they would either have to go with even larger engines, or a smaller diameter than the already present 2-blade props. The latter would have looked quite bad, the Mossie - and all warbirds - does look a lot better and need some prop diameter to "work" properly ;)
Great video Bruce. What editing software are you using to get the appearance of old celluloid film footage with lines, etc?
I use Davinci Resolve (Studio version).
@@xjet Thanks Bruce
It's crying out for 3 bladed props, but otherwise excellent. Thanks!
I hope you were polite enough to tell them Bruce that it's running "too lean"
Who in the hell could thumbs down that
Must have been a German lol
Ya no kidding lol
Beatiful plane , what this ?
Scale ,Wingspan,Length ,Weight ,Engine :
F.... should not looked at my bank account and come back in the week end looks like.
The farther sounded like a Pomme?
Does this Mosquito use Counter rotating props. From most of the Full Scale Engine starts i just watched they don't & both rotate counterclockwise from the front. Does the left DA 60 Engine endeed Rotate clockwise?
I looked twice and saw the engines were started in opposite directions. Nice to know that can be done.
With both engines having the descending blades away from the fuse both engines would be considered critical in respect to engine out. I would think for better single engine performance the engines should swap sides. Am I Right? Any full scale twin pilots out there?
is that frazer bogan briggs.
Yep
@@xjet And Famous in RC circles a few years back....
Chocs away
Nice but engines are not synced, you can see it right after takeoff ..
to me, it is better then jets. classy
Right on
the annoying thing about models is the tiny little propellers people use and it's not necessary to do this
I wish I had money
dont you MORE of it....LOL Laurie
Ok what
Super aircraft, great flying. Lovely video. Why does he not slow down the undercarriage - that was the only criticism.
