The answer about PvP is...no I don't play PvP in 6 years playing neverwinter in Xbox... they update neverwinter professiond and PvP but what about update the trade house to make it more smoothly when buy/sell stuff..or adding more content so people is entertain a bit more?... cryptic and their weird priorities!!
PvP is the main reason I still play neverwinter. It's the only reason I get excited to grind the boring PvE stuff - when you have to run something like TOMM to get those god rings. it's obviously just a function of your friend circle that you don't know any PvP players.. because literally all my friends on NW scheme hard on PvP; it's bloodthirsty out there man.
Late-middle aged married woman (apparently there are a lot of us in NW), first MMO. I began playing to play with my brother since we are States away now and don’t see each other much. I have zero interest in PVP & my brother selected NW for us specifically because of the general lack of emphasis on PvP; a PvP game is not friendly to beginners (why am I even on your channel? Lol!). My brother & I enjoy the story, and did not come to see who can curb-stomp whom. I tried PVP once, right after I hit lvl 80 about (where I now see my mistake), and that was my first and only experience with PvP. Our team could not finish the mission on the, and by the time I’d re-spawned for the 12th time, the rest of my team had abandoned the instance, and it was just me and another guy who msged me and said “ I dunno, man.” And then we both left. Oh, and that one time where I accidentally crossed the magic red line in Icewind Dale, and immediately fast traveled to somewhere else. Nobody likes to play something where they beat their head against a wall, and where success or failure depends entirely upon the rest of your randomly generated team. I still intend on looking it up, because despite the problems, I really DO enjoy the game, but the premise I’m general is based on co-operative play, which is difficult without a dedicated team.
i think most have. i know all the people i have played with over the year have all played and enjoyed cod, overwatch, and so on. i think people just came to this game for the pve experience
But ask yourself this is it fair to come to a game with pvp expecting it to only be pve and now questionging whether or not it should be in the game cause pvp is as always end game once you know your char and have the tuning of skills and gear you take the toughest version of you and test it against the rest of the games population. I will say the pvp is lacking here there arent a good enough variety of events capture the flag team death match, so there's room to improve but get rid of it all together no

I used to play and lost a lot against other players I kept playing because of the daily AD I could get but again I kept losing so once the AD was out of the equation I left for good, there would be some times that a friend came and told me "hey wanna make a queue group?" And I was like "ok I can make some dungeons and get some AD besides it's not often that someone invites me to a queue group" or "damn I hit the wrong command and accepted the invitation, ok let's see what dungeons/skyrmish do we get" man when got to discover the truth I often said "PvP?! Fuck well let's at least play a bit to not get called a chicken, it's just normal/mount hotenow domination" but when it resulted to be gauntlgrym domination that is when I got angry, I'm not and almost never had the chance to be an endgame player even less for PvP I always got killed by mobs from time to time but with players I never had and exception, so when people pulled me into Gauntlgrym domination I always said " fuck you guys, it is already hard for me In PvE, it's impossible for me here, fuck you I'm not even going to make an effort, I want to have fun not my computer teared apart!"
Never had it pop one time I waited two hours. Only in IWD have I experienced it at all, when I accidentally flagged myself and got murdered so all in all not so much fun.
The only reason I stared Neverwinter is to jump into PvP as quickly as possible. I'm coming from ESO, it has PVP from the beginning that you can get into very quickly even as a new player. The cookie cutter type of combat wasn't for me though so I just started neverwinter because combat seems more fluid. However I can't figure out how to queue into a fucking PvP match. Domination is always empty. How do I find a fucking PvP queue? Any time I play a mmorpg I only stay if there is popular PvP. Which is one of the reasons I still play osrs lmao.
I wouldn't mind PVP as a part of the game, but having it be ONLY for people that are "END GAME" players is dumb. I am not sure what percentage of neverwinter are >20 k, but without something for the rest of us leaves a big empty void. As a 18k player, I would last all of 3 seconds before someone one-shots me. Loads of fun!! Not even sure how this could be fun for the Enders either. Running around blasting players like they are nothing has to get tiresome after a few times.
Im mainly a pvp player im glad that they finally gave us somthin i get in to dom pretty easy rn tho it will die out again eventually but im just hopin for it to drag some long term players in pvp cuz before it would be same ppl every match
That's because pvp is end game it's what you do when there's nothing left to do because you have everything that's what pvp is something for the long term players to play and strive towards being the best of

If we don't do something to force them to stop this preditory practice of hitting up thier player base for every last penny they can get on games that are incomplete unready for public consumtion hiding behind beta classifications and releasing new content aslo unfinished without at least first testing it to fix any bugs that might arise from it just so they can reset it all faster and keep the grind going, then this will be how every game you ever play from now until your death will end

I feel the same way as you about PvP and PvE. I decided to play NW for its PvE content and not for PvP. However, I tried PvP about a year ago and had the same experience most have had, which is a PvP environment full of players talking “mad shit” and then being destroyed in my few attempts to play PvP matches. Not fun at all and I have not looked back. I enjoy my time playing PvE content, and when there is nothing to do with my main character, I just work on my alternate characters.
I tried domination pvp once and never tried it again after getting ganged on the moment i leave the safe spot or whatever its called. Not a fun experience at all...
I mean not saying the update was pointless but it left the pve players high and dry just new appearance change and a new race also the new lockbox btw love the giant toad

Which lends to the why they focused on pvp and not the majority of the player base pve

Also it's not a new idea I played the knickers off of diao 2 back in the day which had lively pvp some could even set the pvp to be open world where you can kill ppl you encounter on your travels or pirates stealing loot was great fun but I think the ppl who don't like player vs player and prefer the Mario's and zeldas but the issue here is that this game has pvp always has but the players who don't like pvp flocked to this game and have killed pvp by being disinterested in playing it it's a part of the game get good at it like you did the game don't expect to be melting ppl like you do in pve
Your views on pvp are too narrow. U need to consider the fact that people want the pvp rpg experience. Maybe we don't like shooters or league of legends style. Maybe we like the essentially world of Warcraft style pvp. Which isn't available anywhere but here really for console

I hate pvp in Pve game. I want to play with friends together and not against each others to complete some big events or quest

pvp was great in this game before it became overrun with bots... now, I have no idea, I hear they made it for level 80 only now? that is f'in nuts.

With pvp you need to be on at the right time and right now its queue solo not 5v5
Additionally those that do pvp, have a different build for pve. Mainly the tactics are different
