- In this video I take a Hot Wheels Ford Maverick Grabber and turn it from weird toy racer to the muscle car it was always supposed to be.
I use a range of methods to achieve the desired results.

💘 the SPECTACULAR detailing job on this baby!!
That’s one of my favorite castings....and much improved!
I usually love sparkle finishes, but this was a major improvement. Also love the matte black hood.
Beautiful Maverick, good job
Nice job!! It looks so detailed that I could drive that thing!!
Master of detailing !
Nice build and paint job!
A very well detailed casting with a lot of potential....

I'm not a Ford guy but I really like the look of the early Mavericks before the federal 5mph bumpers. Your car looks great with the blacked out hood and taillight panel ! Very well done ! 🍻

Thanks! like Kill Bill :)
Nice Shiny Paint Job!
Great Video. Liked and subscribed.
That turned out great! If you had told me ahead of time you were planning on yellow, I would have questioned it...but it’s great! I also was happy to see how nice the base turned out - it gives me “permission” so to speak to do something similar with a Ferrari I have on the bench. (It it just me or are your assistants wearing less and less with each subsequent video? 😂)
Thanks Jim.
Well the weather's getting warmer here in the UK so... 😃
I was hesitant to use yellow too but I let my wife pick the colour on this one. Honestly it was a bit of a pain to use it needed more coats than any other colour I used and took longer to dry. I also did the black hood after I had test fit it all together for a final reveal and thought damn this thing needs toning down!
I guess lesson of the day is dont use yellow paint or let the wife pick the colour 👍
Alvarez's Diecast Customs 😂😂. I want to paint a white base on a Ferrari I’m doing because of how it’s constructed, but thought it might turn out oddly...but seeing what you did with the yellow base convinced me it would work.
Listening to the wife over the assistants. What were you thinking? 😂
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms yeah I like to paint some of my customs bases in the body colours. It works on most of them especially when they have bodywork details like front splitters attached to them.
Ah yeah that was a mistake I hope not to repeat! 😂
Far out restoration my friend! Wild Thing is my Grandma had one exactly like it including the blacked-out hood! Looking forward to your next video!
I guess the correct name for that interiour color is Baby Shit Brown? Or Diaper Brown. But yeah, it works.
