Thanks Jim this is one of the only times I have used stock hot wheels wheels on a custom. I really couldn't find anything close to what I needed in my small selection of wheels.
That looks so much better than the circus cruiser. And that car will definitely be flying with how much weight it has ironically enough, since the actual Delorean struggled to even reach 88
Awesome job. Love the brushed steel look. Glad you painted those god awful blue wheels. Excellent, excellent job. Thanks for sharing another great video, take care and stay safe.
Great job! I really like the brushed metal finish and those stock HW wheels actually look pretty good once painted. I've always thought that some of the stock wheels would detail up nice with a little work. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed the video, stay safe and keep on keeping on!
Alvarez, you're braver than I am, taking on a finish like that, where any flaws have nowhere to hide, but you pulled it off. Cool wheels too. Funny at the end when you spoke of revisiting the DeLorean "in the future." Bravo and thumbs up. Be well and stay safe, brother.
Your Delorean turned out really great. I was surprised how cool those wheels turned out. Considering that I've got several pairs of those style of rims, I might borrow your technique for a build down the road, if you don't mind. Keep up the great builds 🍻
Awesome 👏 tbh i quite like the original Blackwall wheels but these aerodisc fit very well 👍 from what I’ve read hot wheels have originally planned to make the real one but like often licensing issues 😐 I’ve seen a picture of a original prototype and it look very nice 😉
Only thing missing is the black grill with the "DMC" in it. Would a black Sharpy over the body interior cover up that ugly red leftovers at all? Just some ideas for the future. All around great work.
I wonder if a dremel and a cloth wheel would have gotten into the rear end details.. idk but I would have tried it.. with some polish for jewelry.. Hmm.. Either way it looks great! I also see that new young lady with blue wheels... You said you like them thicc... so there you are!
Thanks Tiff. I did use a wire brush on the dremel quickly on the rear but didn't achieve much. To be honest once the thing was out of the stripper it was covered in a layer of corrosion from old age. Maybe a newer casting would do better. Polish from my experience on baremetal polishes it to a chrome like finish I really wanted to avoid that 😋 This was just a bit of fun though and I'll likely revisit this custom in a future video. Ah yeah she's one of my older figures she doesn't get out as much as the blonde babe 😉
Great build! I'd be curious to see how this same technique would would with some rub and buff on a body. Might have to try that on one of my builds, but it's way more impressive to get the look from the actual metal itself. I'll admit, you have me worried for a minute with those wheels, but you really made them work with the paint!
Thanks buddy! I was doubtful with the wheels too, wasnt sure if they would work out I was even considering changing them over midway. Glad I didn't in the end as they fit quite nicely.
Hey. I only clear coated the body the base and interior were shot with matte black from a can. Screws are from eBay they are 6mm by 2mm self tapping screws. I'd post a link but they don't appear to work outside of the UK 👍
You truly did take the Turd of Terror circus ride and turn it into something classy! I think the wheels fit the Delorean quite well. 👍
Thanks Jim this is one of the only times I have used stock hot wheels wheels on a custom. I really couldn't find anything close to what I needed in my small selection of wheels.
Great idea with the brushed finish! Also the wheels look great painted! Would have never guessed the wheels started out as red plastic!👍😎
I’m impressed by the use of flat gloss. Nice job.
You saved a very odd and tired casting and did it justice. Well done!
Lovely work on this one Alvarez! Looking forward to the Mustang Concept Peace, respect and stay safe, Ben

Something tells me this toy could go faster than a real Delorean.
Awesome job. Love the brushed steel look. Glad you painted those god awful blue wheels. Excellent, excellent job. Thanks for sharing another great video, take care and stay safe.
A FABULOUS customization job!!.. Looks all ready for the next Back To The Future movie!!.. Keep up the great work Bud!!
Nice job I like the way it turned out
Definitely looks like a Delorean now!
Awesome, DeLorean Gt Foxbody Testarossa.

Thanks Earl.
Yeah those wheels are pretty good, I always keep the wheels I remove for my customs you never know when you might need them again.
Nice one! I love your choice of wheels. I reckon less is more with a design like a DeLorean, you nailed it, great work! :)

Thanks buddy 🍻
Glad you picked up on that at the end 😉
Great job my friend those Wheels were a perfect match for that! See you on the next one buddy!

Thanks buddy! Go for it 👍
I'm tempted to revisit this one in the future and give it a full paint job etc
Nice job on the small fine details...

Yeah the stock wheels are pretty good once cleaned. I may use them on a future build or restoration if I ever get into doing those!
Woooooow it looks very beautifull. Congrats
Great customization!
Nice build 👍

Yeah I noticed the red bits of paint inside after editing the video. Oh well I should have painted inside black too 😄 maybe next time!
A decent casting with good bones...

@@AlvarezAzel Super Sonico would never steer you wrong.
@@DiecastMediaNetwork You're right I shouldn't have doubted her :D
Nice aftermarket wheels...
Sorry meant blue plastic!😁
I knew what you meant 😂 thanks buddy 🍻
Awesome job, and... wanted to say... Your art looks like that of Fritz The Cat and Wizards creator Robert Crumb. (That's a compliment BTW) 😃
Thanks!
After looking at Fritz the cat I can see the likeness :)
@@AlvarezAzel 😀
Looks like this one required just a bit of metalwork..
👌
Did you clear coat the base, wheels & interior as well?
Where do you get you 2mm screws from?

I'd post a link but they don't appear to work outside of the UK 👍
