- My first time at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout! The raft up was nuts and the wet pits where loud! Enjoy this quick video of the loudest boat I've ever heard. It was a higher pitch loud that pierced ear drums.

Conditions must have been favorable (and the boat's setup spot on) inasmuch as the driver looked immensely relaxed behind the wheel.
This is an awesome boat. However, it seems like the setup with quad GM motors producing 9,000 horsepower that appear to be funneled into what looks like a single Jet Drive may be limiting the speed of this boat.
If this is the case with the Jet Drive, IMO this boat would easily top well over 200mph with a pair of Arneson Surface Drives.
Anyone with input on utilizing this much HP with surface drives? I’m not sure if running (2) engines I/O drives would be more efficient than a “Jet Drive”?

@@tmdawson2 Twin surface drives. You can easily assume they are leaving ZERO horsepower unrendered.
@@tmdawson2 Jet drives...LOL. Jets are for show, surface drives are for GO! They were limited in speed due to running out of room to accelerate. 3/4 of a mile gets chewed up pretty quick at 200mph. They already indicated in the video that this boat ran 219mph on a 1 mile course.

I remember going to monster truck shows and the announcers would always tell us the fuel consumption in those trucks weren’t measured in miles per gallon…it was in gallons per mile. I would guess these beasts are somewhat the same.
