So is there an increased failure rate with security pins? Because that's the only reason I can think of for not making all pins security pins of varying sizes.
You need at least 1 solid standard pin so the plug isn't sloppy in the core. Consumers are ignorant so companies get away selling standard pin locks and saving a fraction of a cent because there's no demand for good quality
yesza, im not sure feeling afraid or excited. didnt even know eirther to like or not but then he mention for educational purpose and set it short from full info. okey im scared like all the locks feel like knowing my door can be open.
i feel like this guy could survive a JIGSAW /Saw game .... "i want to play a game" this guy :"and now with all 6 pins picked we can get out of this dungeon"
No one explains how they are set. Because if you pull the key out. They don't stay set. You need to apply torsional pressure with another tool so the pin can rest on the gap.
Yesterday found my $10 Alibaba lock picking training kit that I bought and never did anything with. Anyways I was able to pick into my apartment door and under a minute with no skill at all I just stuck the pic in there and kept lifting upwards made me feel real safe
The key aligns the key pins and driver pins so that they all meet at the shear line. The comb pick pushes all of the key pins above the shear line. It also means the lock manufacturer is in the comedy industry.
He just revealed how he does those 2 second lockpicking videos and y'all didn't even notice. Hi, locksmith here, and I've suspected for a while that he removes a few pins prior to a demo. To be fair, some locks really are that easy to pick, but not all.
The better way to explain this is whenever your little lock pick tool presses the pin to touch whatever other pin it lets it set down on a beveled edge. That way it won't drop down anymore. That's how you explain it
When I was about 12 I had never picked a lock but I was convinced I was a master locksmith so I locked myself in the backyard with nothing but two bobby pins and actually managed to pick the lock and get inside in like, less than 6 minutes. Standard door locks on homes are kinda garbage. Half the time you don't even need to pick the lock to get past it.
Don't cut the video half way. You should stop it before the demonstration and then cut to you saying something about going to your channel to view part two. Otherwise well done. Informative and interesting. Keep it up dude 👍
Fun fact: If your short is too long to put in a short, youtube actually lets you upload longer clips called "videos" I know it's a pretty crazy new concept that not a lot of people know about. But you should try it.
I "disliked" this video because I was interested in what he was saying, but the video suddenly ends without him finishing his point or even sentence.
@@null_ifytiktok 🥶
Part 2 is also on youtube. Its currently the 4th short on this channel, sorted however youtube sorts shorts, while this one is the 2nd short
@@null_ify even though its very interesting nothing will make me install that garbage fire of a platform (not that yt is much better these days)
@@null_ify he should have just uploaded a fucking video then
Same here I was genuinely interested in learning and it just fucking gets cut off 😠
So is there an increased failure rate with security pins? Because that's the only reason I can think of for not making all pins security pins of varying sizes.
Correct. They bind up instead of slide if you catch the indentation
Cost as well probably, would be more expensive to machine the features
They are a lot more expensive, even most lower end security locks only use like a max of three security pins
You need at least 1 solid standard pin so the plug isn't sloppy in the core.
Consumers are ignorant so companies get away selling standard pin locks and saving a fraction of a cent because there's no demand for good quality
Cost
2 is loose, 3 is binding
And that's how you trigger Lock Picking Lawyer PTSD

this would have been a great short if the comments had a pinned link to part 2
3rd video on his channel ever
This was before doing that was possible
Very informative video, up to the point where it just randomly ends midway through you speaking.....
it was made for tiktok which is longe4

This kind of information is and must remain public domain
It’s a paralegal, I instantly caught that. “Ahhh, I see what you did there.”
Security by obscurity is never the most efficient path. Ever wonder why Windows needs a firewall?
This is so you pick a lock that isn’t so easy to pick. If YOU or an amateur thief can pick it based off a CZcams, you should get a different lock
Striving for a better class of criminal.
Ok, you convinced me. I want to max out my lockpicking skill as well 🙌🏼
just use a scroll
prepare to spend the next 4 years of your life collecting a lock bin that weighs about 4 tons.
That guy put almost all of his skill points into lock picking
After watching this, I'm thinking back on how accurate Oblivion's lock picking was.
He is raising an army of thieves with CZcams lockpicking tutorials
This man ain't pregnant, but he never fails to deliver

He failed to deliver, right here; whatchu talkin' bout, Willis?
It's like I'm getting tutorial in Oblivion lock pick mechanics
Best lock picking channel on yt by far. Love these sorts

This is CZcams, you can literally upload a few hour long video !
Its a short tho. 60 seconds only.
@@noneims3770 But the good thing about CZcams is you don't have to upload it as short.
@@bookle5829 the bad thing is no one would see that video

You have no choice, youtube cuts it off if it is over 60 seconds and creators can't change it :(

JUST TELL US WHICH LOCK TO BUY ALREADY!

The most satisfying thing is the key raising up the picks.
That is a really cool demonstrator. Funny too cuz the sound is very asmr

Loved the ending where he opened the lock. Oh wait. Dont recommend

Thanks. Finally oblivion lockpicking is easy for me.
Legit one of my favorite new channels
People should start pinning part 2&3 in the comments
I gave up on locks after bingeing on this vlog...
Master lock finally found him
And that's why we watch the lock picking lawyer
Maaaan, lockpicking lawyer is an absolute lock picking BEAST I'd recommend him anyday
So why do pins stay pushed? It would be impossible to pick a lock if the pins had to be simultaneously up and only held by the key.
Very neat, always did want to learn this skill. Thank you for the channel
Me too
Me too hehe
I see you in Jail 😈🤪😈
Why the pins on spring stays once its pushed up ? Why doesn't it fall back?
If it fell can you pick the lock?
Because I think he applying a turning force with another tool he didn't show
because he's forcing the shaft to turn, which makes a tiny ledge making it not fall back. this is basically how you lick every lock
That one definitely looks combable
out of all the lockpick videos I've seen this was by far the best.....
thank you very
Why is bro teaching robbers how to pick lock doors better 💀
Finally a video where you're not making a joke.
Where did you get that core I like how you can unscrew the top
A practice lock I think, bought from eBay
Different locks have ways to load pin stacks. Medeco often uses screws on the top like this one
just taught me how to finally properly figure out those Oblivian locks from Skyrim. Thanks.

Not many people know how to pick locks so, yeah. Low quality locks.
Imagine some amateur thief being like:
"Ah shit i forgot how to lockpick this. Lemme just take out my phone and open youtube"
Until I saw, this video, I always assumed, that the points, were where the pins touched

Why can't pins be made to not click so that it requires an actual key to unlock the door?
This should have been more of an actual short than an interrupted, multipart video.
