- What If Ash Never Got Charizard? Ash Ketchum’s Charizard, one of Ash’s most powerful and iconic Pokemon. We have seen Ketchum’s Charizard pull off some sweet victories before in the past giving Ash entry to some competitions and even winning some of his biggest battles to date. Charizard has always seem to come in clutch somehow especially when Ash was in danger of losing. He could just rely on Charizard to pull through victories. There were even some points where Charizard was used too much and Misty and Brock told him you are using Charizard too much. What if Ash was just stripped from Charizard completely and he never got it? Who would have gotten Charmander? What kind of Pokemon would Ash get? Would he even be the same trainer without it? Well I think I have quite the story for you guys where Ash had never obtained Charmander. Here to give me a hand with this story too is my friend HybridHero!

I have a suggestion for a What If video:
"What if Ash trained his Aura abilities?"
You gotta admit, it would be very interesting to see and speculate!
A lot of changes would definitely happen.
1. Potentially reviving Sir Aaron’s Lucario and finding a new traveling companion/mentor in him.
2. Never falling for Team Rocket’s disguises ever again. Maybe even getting them sent to jail.
3. Uses his Aura abilities to better help Sceptile recover from his heartbreak with Meganium. (Aura seems like it can do anything)
4. Befriending and catching the Aura Sphere Riolu.
5. Managing to fight most criminals on equal footing and screwing up their plans even worse.
6. Befriending way more wild Pokémon by extending his emotions through Aura.
7. Cut down on a lot of filler episodes. Because seriously, lots of episodes revolve around someone getting lost.
The list goes on.

I don't think #1 is very likely, but #4 seems like a shoo-in to happen!
And Ash would still get a Lucario due to its evolution being fueled by friendship.

If Ash's Charmander never evolved, Ash would have died to the Aerodactyl attack in 'Indigo League, Ep. 46: Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon'. Whether if he was dropped by Aerodactyl after Jigglypuff sings, or (since nobody had a flying pokemon strong enough to take Aerodactyl down) , he would have been EATEN by it. Think about that.

@@eveegirl2878, we are talking realistically. As in, how would it change the series; or, how many episodes would it remove due to plot device limitations. If you eatch the episode, you would see that the only thing that kept Ash's pathetic self from dying, was Charizard.
This “what if” scenario was fantastic!! Absolutely very creative and well done! Changing up the scenarios and battles while keeping so much the same to make sense, it was done greatly! I loved the whole new story! If you have the time, you should definitely do more of these in the future! Keep up the great work Mystic and Hybrid!!

This has gone through my mind so many times! Like Charizard is one of Ash’s strongest Pokemon. But if Brooke had him, he would be one badass gym trainer.

If Brock has Charizard it be unique a rock type gym leader using a fire type and I can imagine him using Charizard to impress girls.
I think Ash would be a lot different from simple gym leader to league battle/adventures in the future. Even his personality.
Charizard hasnt been on any adventure. He was left on the Island to train with the other Charizards and comes into the anime once in a blue moon to fight a tough Pokemon and leaves.

He wouldn't evolve it by stone. It would probably evolve to Espeon since all his Pokemon usually have max friendship and the majority of Pokemon anime occurs in day time.

This needs a follow up called "What if Ash never got Squirtle?" in which Misty caught Squirtle instead. I like the idea of each of them having a starter each, just like how it was during Hoenn. I guess Krabby, then Kingler, became a main part of Ash's party instead.

I was thinking of a way to make iris ‘better’ but I had a idea were she collects badges with ash and enters and wins the unova league and becomes champion. It would make sense because of b2w2 and they could have detacated a good 5-8 episodes for her to win the league and beat the e4 and champion then the series would continue as it did. They could have given her another dragon type pokemon like hydreigon and made her axew evolve ONCE.
Iris wanted to be a Dragon Master. So maybe she could have trained Axew more seriously, read up on some training tips from the Library of Nacrene City, or watched a video of a battle involving Champion Lance. Heck, she could have gone to Drayden for some advice.

I would say Pidgeotto and even Bulbasaur might evolve here, they have more screen time and since Ash got Arcanine to listen Bulbasaur might wanna evolve aswell. Pidgeotto is just a no brainer

What would be more interesting if Vulpix and Charmander had a love/hate relationship at first with both of them vying for Brock's attention but still respecting each other's strengths. When he evolves into Charmeleon, Vulpix develops a crush on his new form which eventually becomes full-on adoration when he becomes Charizard. Vulpix decides to evolve itself into Ninetails by stealing a Fire Stone in order to grab his attention. She eventually develops a love rivalry against Charla and is heartbroken when Charizard decides to stay in the Charicific Valley.

I've made it Magmar instead, and evolve it into a Magmortar for his Sinnoh League evolution.
Interesting and it makes sense since Arcanine was about the only other Fire type the would fit with Ash on his team besides Charizard, Also since Ash is based off Red, in the let's go games Red uses an Arcanine as his fire type and its nice to see the connection between Ash & Red

Alright, alright enough with the jokes here. No, but this is a good video. I thought this video was going to be pretty negative for Ash with the title, but no. You still made it pretty good for him, even better actually. Still, prefer the idea of Charziard being with him but still a cool what if none the less. It was certainly interesting.
Also here are some what if idea's I'd like to see. Some of them might be interesting
-What if Infernape's Blaze was failed Bond/Bond Phenomenon and mastered it in XYZ(Infernape has Battle Bond instead of Greninja)?
-What if James took Growlie with him after 'Holy Matrimony'?
-What if Ash kept ALL of his Pokemon he released(Minor Pokemon like Beedrill and Ratticate still get released though,)?
-What if Ash used his Sinnoh Pokemon during the Unova League?
-What if Ash caught Meloetta after Unova's Survival Crisis?
-What if Meowth actually did turn good and joined Ash during BW045(Meowth's Scrafty Tactics) and BW047(Crisis from the Underground Up!) and instead he decided to take over a new leaf after seeing how Ash takes care of his Pokemon?
-What if Serena decided to become a Pokemon Trainer instead of a Pokemon Performer and Pokemon Coordinator?
-What if James became a Pokemon Trainer instead of joining Team Rocket(I actually imagine him to be a good trainer)?
-What if the My Hero Academia characters existed in the Pokemon anime as trainers(Since we all know Mystic loves MHA)?
-What if Ash was in the Pokemon Manga?
-what if the pokemon black and white anime was actually good(This one will be hard for you)?-
If there is one thing I don't understand, it is how do Team Rocket get so much money to get their gadgets but don't have any money for food.
