    I've been making a lot of content for Tekken for years and I've noticed for a long time that people that watch tekken vids don't leave comments or thumbs up yet steal ideas, combos, set-ups, tech-traps, etc, etc.
    Two years ago I had to copyright a subscriber for stealing my videos and blocking out the names. He already had way more subs then me too. Too many people want to be the top dog instead of helping and sharing.

      I agree. People who watch Tekken tend to not leave comments nor thumbs up. It's a head scratcher. It becomes tough as a content creator to continue through. But I tell ya what, I'ma check out some of your vidz. Please check this one out if you have time. It's comedy. It's TEKKEN satire. czcams.com/video/zhkaVFISptA/video.html

      Yeah, I think they don't know how much it would help us if they watch our videos and left a comment. I just started content creation and it caught me off guard the first time I noticed I got a decent amount of likes but no comments or subs lol. Honestly though, I am grateful that people are viewing and liking my videos at all. I think this process takes a lot of time, gotta be ready for the long haul and love the process along the way. I give you props bro. Sticking this out for years says a lot to your commitment.

    Great VIdeo bro! For some reason none of my comments I posted below didn't go through lol I just started content creation about 6 weeks ago. You played a role in me deciding to try it out. I think you are right, we should try to do more content for the games we love, if we can. I am still learning the ropes though.

      It is but it is a fun process. I am very new but each time I get a like or a comment of someone saying great job. It feels really good. I feel like I am giving back to the community. If it is not about the money and you feel you can post 1 quality video a month, I would say give it a shot. Or stream whenever you can.

    You know man the FGC has a difficult uphill battle in every way when it comes to the idea of sponsors. The reason games like League of Legends and Call of Duty make tons of money and have incredible exposure..is because the nature of those games is cooperative. Anyone can pick them up and play them and enjoy them without frustration.
    Fighting games simply are not like that. It's 1v1 which means the pressure is on the player. *There are no teammates to share the burden* . _Not only that but to truly appreciate watching fighting games.. requires at least a basic level of understanding of those games_ .
    This creates a difficult situation because our hobby is directly competitive which is going to turn off certain people because of the "responsibility factor", the idea that self-improvement rests on the player.
    The results of that player are in direct relation to the effort they put in. _Casuals tend to want to be successful and have fun right away without needing to learn, but a player like that is fresh meat for the experienced player_ .
    I'm not sure how to fix that but one way might be with better netcode. *Imagine that game like Dragonball Fighterz or the older King of Fighters XIII if it had an actual 3 vs 3 competitive mode and ran well..* DBZ has a party battle similar to that but the netcode is not up to snuff.
    However most fighting game developers are not doing that. *_I think Evo should seriously consider the idea of a second event every year_* . *_Something similar to Super Battle Opera back in the day. Team versus Team for dominance_* .
    The amount of hype in viewership that could produce would be incredible especially if the teams were staggered in the way to make sure it would be interesting.
    Say one very strong player for each team, 1 strong player and 2 less strong players. Every skill level would be represented, region versus region.
    *Super Battle Opera used to have so much viewership that they actually charged money to see it* . We need something akin to that now..and there's no better established tournament than Evolution to do it.
    Not only would it be incredible to watch, it would give people who might normally have no chance of winning Evolution a real chance to earn recognition in that top placed rank that we all would want in a perfect world.
    *Not only that but these publishers do not put enough money into our tournaments, they're too damn greedy* . Look at how much money Tekken has made, yet we have a pathetic tour. League players make 10 times with the FGC makes in a single tourney. Our scene doesn't grow because these publishers are too greedy to put any real money behind it.

    • @nginroom8108
      @nginroom8108 Před 4 lety +1

      Just to address the last paragraph - Tekken has made nothing compared to the likes of League. They're only just celebrating the sales of 5 million copies after 3 years when Super Smash bros, a console exclusive, sold 17 million copies within weeks. It's funny you allude to that, yet you complain FG publishers are greedy for not throwing more money into tournaments. FGs are just not big enough to warrant the kind of investments you expect. Any endeavour as a pro player or a content creator within the fgc is more a labour of love than anything.

    • @manrightchea
      @manrightchea Před 4 lety

      @@nginroom8108 There is truth in some of what you say however what I'm saying also has truth. Yes it's obvious that a game like Tekken doesn't make nearly as much as League. however that's because League has become a thing over many years.
      However when it comes to the idea of a tournament, especially a large global tournament like the Tekken World Tour, payouts are pathetic. It's not expense it's greed. Our community could easily pay $150,000 as a real grand prize with support of the publishers and it doesn't even have to be directly footed.
      Capcom Pro Tour came up with a large portion of their grand prize by selling costumes that went towards the prize pool. It was win win they made money and the players made money.
      Tekken might not have League money, but don't underestimate how much money they have made off of that game. 5 million copies is not including premium editions, deluxe editions, season passes, individual DLC sales etc. They have made billions off of this game, yet they can't afford a hundred and fifty grand for a proper grand prize?
      Hell no that's just plain greed is what that is. They're too greedy for one and they don't believe in the community enough for two. There's absolutely no reason a publisher as huge as Bamco could not easily afford to have a proper Grand prize.
      All of that effort over a global number of tournaments and qualifiers and those players don't even take $20,000 I don't think I think it's more around closer to 7 grand after all of the expenses and taxes.
      That's pathetic. And all of the housing, flight costs, food the players had to pay to travel to get to those tournaments has to come out of that as well. If they had a sponsor pay for the sponsor takes a cut.
      *The payout is pathetic* and it's no wonder sponsors don't care about the FGC. Why should they care when the publishers themselves don't care? If the publishers don't believe in their game enough to offer or risk any real money why should any other company?

    I virtually gave up on fighting game steams. There's a level of snobbyness in the fgc which exspects like a minimum level of skill for people to take you seriously. Putting your faith in a fighting game to devote to it long term? Plus be an entertainer making content? Is a BIG ask when you could be doing other things with a much easier payoff.
    And this is coming from someone who loves them but doesn't have the faith that me putting in time will produce any noteworthy results.

    • @KingJaeTV
      @KingJaeTV  Před 4 lety +4

      Dumps? Highlighted content from streams is content. Everyone who spend hours of content use this method so it does not clog up their day to day life. If you was a content creator or try to understand how time consuming it is to do both you would understand.

    • @rossanderson4156
      @rossanderson4156 Před 4 lety

      @@KingJaeTV dumping from a stream isn't necessarily bad, but it makes up far to much of Tekken's content being uploaded and frankly isn't very engaging. The example you provide near the start for Call of Duty for example, has a lot of edited videos and a lot of streamers doing raw gameplay. What you never see is almost raw footage from streams being converted to videos because it's just a lack-luster format.
