S95c is the greatest qd oled yet. Hell the greatest oled yet. Keep your opinions max don't let anybody change what you like or your preference man. I understand the e arc issues though!

It's beautiful just disappointed they kinda screwed people of last year with the update. They'd essentially have the same tv if they didn't. Thank goodness I took it offline.

I have a Yamaha RX-V583 7.2 receiver and when I initially setup the TV it shows "Hometheater" as a connected device in the device list, unlike yours that shows the actual device name. It didn't make any attempt to figure out what device I had that I saw. When I go to the Sound configuration screen, my receiver does not show up in the Sound Output list, it only shows the TV Speaker/Optical/Bluetooth options. As a result when I go to the Expert Settings and set HDMI eArc Mode to Auto, the "Pass-Through" option for Digital Output Audio Format" is greyed out, I can't select it. My receiver is setup to use AUDIO1 for the HDMI control and I had it set to AUDIO1 when I setup this TV. I have the receiver's HDMI ARC port plugged into the HDMI3 eARc on the TV. I did an HDMI cable test on the TV and it reported no problems. I previously had a Sony TV and the ARC stuff worked flawlessly with this receiver. The RX-V583 port is regualr ARC, not eARC - could that be the problem? Everythng I've read.seen says they should be compatible.
Max, I see you also had optical enabled in your sound settings along with eARC. Disable optical output. I had a audio dropoff issue with my Denon and S95B via eARC until i disabled optical.
Good catch!! I have that disabled as well. I still have the same issue. My video was over 30min long trying to troubleshoot it. I was at a point where I just needed to cut the video and let people know.
@@mchambliss2 What about turning Game Mode On instead of Auto? Since the issue is it switching game mode on and off. When you force Game Mode On it should not switch. Less processing and features if you want to watch movies and such, but worth the tradeoff IMO. You could try turning off ALLM in Xbox settings too.

I’m having the same issues on my S95C with my sennheiser ambeo sound bar connected. Only having issues with the Xbox series x at the moment. Ps5 is fine. This could be a big deal breaker for some
got same tv but with marantz cinema 50 and had same problem, passthrough worked on hdmi things like ps5 worked , but tv app stan, netflix, etc and on usb movies you cant press pathrough is greyed out and keep cutting out only way around is to use ps5 for the app
I had the exact same issue and had to use the Xbox for all the apps. It’s the Samsung TV. The S 95C has issues with passing the audio to the cinema 40 or 50. It appears that this is not the only TV that has this issue.
This is a handshake issue. Try a better HDMI cable to see if this problem is resolved.
Well i had the same problem with my q70t and series s, but i set up my xbox s on 120 hz and 1440p and issue was solve, it was cause series s couldn't get to 4k, and i know its quit bullshit that you have to set up the earc pass through manualy, to use it but it works that way.
I have the q990c sound bar, and well you put it on earc and passthrough it works, but you need to set it up manually 😅😢

Especially If U Try To Connect Everything To Your Avr Receiver, U Won't Get The Connection Results U Should When Connecting To The Samsung!

It’s weird cause I had issues with the A90J 83in earc and S95c earc where the Sony HTA7000 wasn’t connecting and kept on saying mute on the bar. Thought I was going crazy until I say a video that says plug out the soundbar out of the wall and give it 2 mins then all of sudden it works with both TVs
Sony did have an issue with eARC back in 2021, but that was resolved with the updated firmware. For the S95C, since it’s still new, Samsung or other manufacturers would have to iron out the bugs to get eARC working. I think it’s a shame that when you buy a brand new TV and want to hook it up to your receiver or Soundbar, you run into these types of issues.
@@mchambliss2 nah I agree like we shouldnt be spending top dollars for our toys (TVs, receiver and soundbar) and it doesn’t work. It legit is frustrating but sometimes we just gotta deal with it. Looking forward to more content from you Max love your content.

Any fix yet? I'm ready to pull the trigger but this is a deal breaker as I want all 144hz for my PC and all 7.1 to my denon
No fix at this time 😔 I already returned the S95C and someone from the AVSForum said another update came out. It might be the eARC fix but I’m not 💯 sure.
Hey max great content as always i just got off the phone with Yamaha tech support yesterday with a samsung tv doing the same thing they told me that with the new firmware update for the a8a will fix this problem with they told me because new firmware brings QMT/ QMS hope this helps.

@@mchambliss2 hey max I'm in a big debacle with Yamaha when i turn off arc on the a8a just arc, i can still get sound from internal Sony apps out to external speakers Yamaha says i should not get sound if possible can you chime in and let me know if this is correct please. this will save me from driving 70 miles to have it repaired.🙏💕

Well, I have this tv, a ps5, a Pioneer VSX-LX303 with a Nvidia pro giving me the trueHD sound and I’m beginning to get this annoying “pauses” . Contacted Samsung and they told me to connect everything to the tv which would mean to lose the trueHD, going through the tv I only get DD+. I didn’t long tested but on the few hours I played I got zero black screens. After reconnecting the Nvidia directly to the AV I’m getting another weird error, changing sources from the tv or the Av is turning them off. Well that’s my experience, I hope there will be a solution soon, I love the tv otherwise.
This is why I can't buy Samsung TVs ever again after taking 3 s95b's back to the store , and all 3 s95b's that I took back wouldn't work with my Marantz receiver's arc , one was bent , one would dim down and one l would have to turn the tv off and back on to get it back bright, the 3rd one I would pick up the remote and the tv would turn on wtf . Bought a the wrgb Panasonic LZ2000 much better image and the A95k I bought that has no issues . I plan on getting the Panasonic MLA MZ2000 from what I have heard fromn av forums and the high store I buy my tvs from The Panasonic is better than s95c and hits 1600 nits with no problem and with better processing.. No one should ever pay 1000 and have earc, issues let alone almost 5000 us dollars.

Si no se te solucionará tiene pinta de que el Yamaha tiene algún ajuste de vídeo 4k 120 Hz que no tienes bien ajustado o algo de vrr
So, I don’t even use a receiver, and if I turn in eARC on the TV with the Q800 Soundbar hooked directly to the TVs eARC port, I lose all sound from the Soundbar. TV is a S95C, by the way. This was highly disappointing to me.
This is one of the reasons why I don't try to pass through a surround receiver I hook everything into the TV then he eArk out into the receiver no issues
Any updates? I have S95C as well. Going from PC to TV to Denon Atmos receiver. Earc worked fine on QN90A tv I came from. On S95C I get complete silence. No Earc passthrough. I downloaded the 1113 firmware and it didn't fix it. If I shut off Earc it will output stereo sound to my Denon. Which is annoying
I’m still on firmware 1100. I tried to up, but the S95C said I’m on the latest update. I will keep everyone posted once I get the latest FW update.
@@mchambliss2 yeah I had to download 1113 from the Samsung support website. It wasnt available OTA yet. Doesn't fix the issues anyways.

I'm also going from PC to S95C to Yamaha a3080 avr. I can't believe we are still having this issue! I didn't have this issue on my LG GX oled. Bought s95c a few days ago i dont know if i should return it. It's a good upgrade but this no dolby atmos passthrough via earc is pissing me off.
@@HenryTheBoilermaker3rdYear I've tried it a few times and it still isn't fixed. So I am still working around the issue with an HDMI 2.1 receiver. The only downside to this is, I can't run the tv at 144hz as the receiver won't pass 144hz through. Have to drop it to 120hz. Which isn't a big deal.
Every year tvs are getting brighter by %20,%30,for the last 7 years, shouldn't we have a 10.000 nits bright tv already

Typical Samsung QC issues. Every single Samsung I've owned has had issues. I switched to LG and haven't looked back.
Got a possible fix , I tried what Samsung told me and got nothing, reseated everything, left only the ps5 connected to the tv and got to the point where had black screens every 40-60 seconds and once I lost also the sound. The downside is that games might lag. It’s been three days without black screens, anyone with the same problem willing to check it out?
I’m pretty sure Samsung will fix this

game mode looks terrible on samsung tvs as always and this one is no different. everything is blue and colors out of wack. samsung needs to learn from sony how to make a good looking game mode.
Blue? Vivid mode is but game mode is not. Listen I'm a sony fanboi but even I need to adjust there game mode as it's much flatter. Yes more accurate but games aren't real. I get it preference is cool but a little more pop when gaming is not a bad thing imo. Samsungs game mode is insane for peoppe who love pop.
