Channel 13 abandoned it's commitment to "caring about the little guy" years ago. That reporter probably doesn't even know who Marvin Zindler was or what Action 13 used to do for people on a daily basis. To think that KTRK used to respond every single one of the more than 100,000 requests for help each year, and now airs so few Action 13 stories in any given month that you could count them all on one hand and still have fingers leftover, shows how fall the station has fallen. Not to mention that they've desecrated the legacy of Marvin by using the Action 13 name for pointless filler stories like "Cleaning Hacks".

@@BlackFemaleAnd50 Why, thank you. I know what this station used to be capable of. So to see how far it's gone in the opposite direction is heartbreaking. 13 Undercover and Action 13 were what made Eyewitness News Eyewitness News. Now they don't have either, don't even use their own radar anymore (Live MegaDoppler), and frankly just don't seem to care too much about anything. Last year, they ran a joke of an "investigation" into how it's cooler in the shade than in the sun. There were two people living in a home without A/C who the station used in that story, but didn't even bother trying to help them. Marvin would have gotten someone to donate window A/C units and/or fix the HVAC, if they had one. Like I said, they just don't seem to care anymore.

How about some videos of the alleged attacks on Centerpoint workers? I keep hearing about this, but no videos! Not in a hurry to see such things, but just find it a bit of a stretch to believe anyone would attack a bunch of linemen. Why? That makes no sense.
Also, the people who act as hall monitors and get on these threads telling everyone to calm down and behave need to realize that first world countries and major cities normally do not allow trees and vegetative overgrowth to go untrimmed to the point where a storm that was a most a Cat 1 hurricane disables power for millions for this long. When HL &P was the power company, they turned any extra revenue above expenses into infrastructure, repairs, vegetation control, upgrades, and so on. HL & P did not have a CEO making $7M a year with $37 M in options and shareholders to pay dividends to. We really need to examine whether privatizing power was a sane idea. Our bills are HUGE. We are not being served.

Y'all do realize that from just West of Beaumont to just East of Conroe and north to Shepherd and south to Roman Forest, the Entergy grid is about 50% out still today... right? It's not just Centerpoint customers who are suffering en'mass! But only Centerpoint seems to be making the news I'm noticing. In fact according to the Entergy outage map Roman Forest is completely out, and between the 59 and 45 corridors about half the Entergy grid is still down. Just saying... this is what happens during a mid-summer Texas hurricane and why weren't more people prepared for this massive power disruption anyway????

According to the Center point mouthpiece a few days ago their workers are putting in 16-hour shifts, yet around 6 p.m. every day those shifts end and the trucks form their little convoys to go back. How cruel for them to be heading out on the job every midnight. Perhaps that explains why they are not seen _at all_ in some areas.
Perhaps the blue-shirted apologist needs to walk around in those areas and report on them.
