Center point, The Mayor, The Governor, The Attorney General cannot over rule the Power of God Almighty. This heat cannot be compared with Hells fire, where there will be no escape or relief. I think some blame has to go on homeowners who allow their trees to grow unmanageably tall and they don't trim them properly to withstand strong winds. They also allow their trees to grow through around and above power lines. That is utterly ridiculous and irresponsible. Centerpoint has to contend with downed trees BEFORE they can make repairs. But that is only regarding trees entangled with power lines (usually along back of property line). Other massively tall trees on the property owner's property that are also not regularly trimmed to better withstand high winds then fall over and topple power lines. Yes, Centerpoint has their responsibility to trim trees entangled in power lines and they may have dropped that ball in a lot of instances but why is the property owner allowed to plant trees under and alongside power lines? And why is the property owner allowed to grow trees that are oversized and not regularly maintained to withstand high winds and heavy rain? My thoughts for those living in Houston , ask your local leaders to make aware cooling centers for elderly people , they need Help before all , second help each other with limbs and debree , leave the major tree downing to tree services . For your own home have prepared a box fan for each main room and one small window ac unit you can use for the center of the home . One 3500 generator will qualify for emergency usage to keep a fridge , a 5000 btu ac window unit and a few other devices ..The gulf coast is at our back door , it will always destruct lives .

There are people STILL without power. At least two of my coworkers are still living in their cars so they have a/c and their phones. Centerpoint is, by far, the worst electric service in the country. It should've ALL been fixed by now. Not a single excuse will make me be okay with how terrible you guys are at repairing things. They don't even assess the most damaged areas to fix first, they just go wherever they want instead of prioritizing literally anything. They need to be shut down completely in all of Houston and need to bring in a company that can actually do their job.
