Mesmerizing! Beautiful performance! For the general public Gert has played (or will play) 45 concerts in 2018. One was in Hungary, one in Belgium, 2 in the US and the rest in the Netherlands. Probably would have played more but he cleared his schedule in Dec for obvious reasons. Here in the US, we are very thankful that the Van Hoef team takes the additional time to video and then upload parts of these concerts to CZcams.
The reason he has not scheduled in december,is the birth of their first child, which was born on the 11th of december.It is a beautiful boy!
Correct. They named him Thomas. They have posted pictures of Thomas on Gert's website - www.gertvanhof.nl under the "news" section. Mother and baby are doing well.

Auf dem absoluten Höhepunkt eines großartigen Künstlers entstanden. Die Idee der Klänge wurde wie von einem perfekt sicheren und kraftvollen Wundermechanismus, Gerds Körper, auf die beiden Manuale und das Pedal übertragen. Einfach alles gegeben, was menschenmöglich ist! So unverschämt gut kann es kaum ein zweites Mal werden. Leider!

If Gert is playing any organ, I'll stop and listen. He's one of the most talented I've ever seen. He certainly knows his way around some of the finest instruments you can find anywhere.
Folks, I am so tired of people complaining about the “thumb’s down” showing up especially on Gert’s reviews. I have an I-Pad and it is too darn easy to press it in error, NOT INTENTIONALLY! Why not contact Apple? OR CZcams? That might be a better use of your time. Ever thought of being the change you are looking to find. Enough with the complaining. Look up, see the sun, smell the roses! Get on with your lives. Spread the word.
Thank you, Gert, for posting more selections on The King of Instruments. As always these performances are impressive and spiritually moving. I so enjoy the camera shots of the space in which you are playing as well the casework, pipework, and console of the organ. The order and craftsmanship unite the architect, organ builder and artist. Thank you and your team for providing a visual record, especially in these historic places.

Mon souhait serait que lorsque la cathédrale de notre dame de Paris sera de nouveau couverte, qu'il y face un concert aux grandes orgues, et me permetrait de venir à ce concert, c'est mon plus chert souhait. I am one of Gert's closest 3000+ facebook friends and I suggested he put the Midmer Losh organ at boardwalk hall Atlantic City New Jersey on his to do list. It is 50% restored with the completion year 2023. He hasn't responded but my message is still on his facebook page. The organ is the largest musical instrument in the world with 33000+ pipes. Would love to hear him play it.

What a fantastic performance. I have listened to it couple of times now and each time it is more enjoyable than it was the last.

The boy has the makings of a great musician. Hell! What am I saying! He is already him! I am glad that young people are interested in this rather difficult music. Its already been 3 years since I first heard this. Hard to believe what's happened since. But you're still here, one of those big unmovable rocks in class 4 rapids. To paraphrase "Game of Thrones" - October 21st is coming. From Chicago, USA on October 15, 2021.

I don't believe that master organists are totally human. They must be some special alien hybrid. How else can people like Gert be so brilliant?
Could it be that he loves music - particularly organ. Could it be he has an absolute talent. Get found when he was a young teen anger that he had the bug and nothing has stood in his way since that awakening of this young talent. No flash, no theatrics just Gert and the music.
You know, he was 12 or 14 before he started playing.
Awesome music and inspiring performance! Now thank we all our God...you have put your all into your music and God has blessed your effort. May you continue to bring Him praise with your heart, hands, mind and soul.
