- I'm Aja Dang and here are the three main tools I use to set, organize and track my yearly goals - spoiler alert, there's a lot of MSTRPLN included in this video đ¤ˇđťââď¸ It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of making 2023 goals but it's hard to keep your life organized and motivated enough to accomplish them by the end of the year. All these tools might seem a bit overboard (who really needs to use the same planner in two different forms?) but remember, I always tend to accomplish 90ish% of my yearly goals.

Aja, you may resonate with the idea of having a place to keep track of 'future selves' regarding long term goals. I keep a page in notion with all sorts of ideas about what I'd like my future to include. A business, children, a kitchen renovation, a book, etc etc etc, and from time to time I go and look at all the ideas I've had about myself. If they don't resonate with me anymore, I delete them, but over time some things stick and become more and more important. 5 years ago I wasn't sure if I wanted kids, but now I know I do. Within the motherhood section I've realized after coming back to the idea of adoption for years and years that its really important to me, so I've spent some time translating it into those shorter term actionable goals you talk about, like saving up for adoption fees, and researching adoption specific child development resources. Some things don't pan out, like you said- long term goals depend on you wanting the same things over that span of time and that's not often our path as people, but other things become more and more important over time, and start to demand attention and short term focus. I've been following you since your second video about your debt free journey, but this is my first time commenting, it feels weird, but I hope the idea of future selves strikes a good balance between dreaming about your future, and recognizing your dreams can change. Congratulations on your new chapter with Brian!
I actually love that idea. I do have notes and drafts randomly throughout different notebooks and such but keeping all those thoughts in one area is a really smart idea. Thank you for sharing, I'll build one in Notion now.

Hi aja! I just bought the dated budget planner and so far loving it. Hopefully iâll stick with it lol. I recommend using the Frixion pen so you can easily erase anything, plus they have different colors and styles! đ

You were and are my financial budgeting hero. In 2020 I was nearly 10k in debt. Next month Iâll am down to 2 credit cards (0%) and about ÂŁ3,700.00. If I work my arse off worst case debt free with savings by Jan 2024!!!!!!

It's beautiful and a great idea! However, I cannot work with the Monday-Sunday format. I am constantly entering the wrong day and when I do enter correctly, when I read it I think it's another day and miss my appointments. Decades of Sunday-Saturday calendars and mental models cannot be unlearned. I will need to look elsewhere next year.

Hi Aja , thank you for lovely video. I have a question maybe someone also in comments could help I hope it doesnât sound stupid. So in order for me to clear my debt I need a side hustle to increase my income, in order for me to start doing this side hassle I need to do a course that costs money. I am a bit stuck on how to go about it, I donât have the savings to pay for the course and I am too scared to borrow to increase the debt. Any ideas? Do I risk and borrow the money to pay for the course or do I save up for the course? I am sorry I am sure that the answer is obvious to some of you but I am trying to get rid of debt but with even the slight increase in my income end of Jan I know it wonât scratch the surface. Thanks in advance to anyone for any suggestions â¤

@@AjaDang absolutely!! You know, Iâm definitely a physical planner type of girl⌠but the digital version has been sooo much fun! I actually DMâd you a pix of my first week on ig because I was so in love with it / Iâm enjoying adding pictures and getting creative with it; itâs become a sort of stress reliever at night. During the week Iâll add pictures to each day so I can see where my money goes and things that I did and itâs a great way to save memories/ personalize it as well as helping me realize how much weâre spending in a week⌠letâs just say we need to scale back BIG time (or I do at least đ) đŤśđťđ¤
