How’d they get me in this video??? Oh no, I’ve been CLONED!!!!
Same it is always weird
Seeing yourself in public
omg two Toot visions!!!
You gave me life advice more than Yugioh tips
Boi you said "Dueler".
I have lost all respect for you.
3:26 "talk openly with your opponents"
me: I think my wife is cheating on me
opponent: Uhmm, I special summon thunderdark
Opponent: I like your voice :)
Pffft.
Best advice, Never feel pressured and always take as much time as you need to read a card. Doesnt matter if it's meta and everyone should know or if it's old and forgotten. Read the cards.
Darryl Jack I use sylvans, when was the last time you saw that deck?
It’s amazing no one excepts how good it is I have CRUSHED meta decks like elemental hero’s and even thunder dragons ( that one was pure luck my opponent misused an effect that cost him the game but I don’t care I still won)
@@deathtran4574 sylvans are dope
Deathtran 4 heroes are not meta...
There is a time limit but none if you have to read cards you do not know. Especially for returning players.
Don’t accidentally steal your opponent’s kaijus
This happened to me a few days ago. Me and my opponent were both playing Kaijus AND we had the exact same sleeves.
@@rustycox7741 Oof.
AcCiDeNtAlLy
Rusty Cox was it the same Kaiju?
It happens, if there the same cards in same sleeves doesnt is matter..
This was my first full edit of a video. I hope there weren't too many mistakes!
Good edit bud
It was awesome! Background music was soothing!
With numbers and short phrase would be better
Fantastic work man
Your first tip can be construed as slow playing
Another tip:
Complaining about card prices doesn’t make the cost go down.
Perk of being casual is you can use proxy cards
@@Sillimant_ Perk of only playing with digital copies is that it doesn't cost any money at all
Haha more reprints
@@SpectresFromHell I thought the same thing. Complaining might make Konami reprint, which could indeed lower the cost of cards. I get the original posters point, I just thought it was humourous.
*Hey guys! Hope you all enjoyed this compilation video. Everyone showed up for it, so we got over 50 tips crammed in here! Try to learn somethin', will ya?* 😃
I have learned a viable lesson: You guys are cool :D
Team APS hello
Extra tip: Don't be afraid to ask for New Support for your favourite archetype. Nobody should be able to stop you from voicing your own opinion.

If you are losing a duel, stand on the edge of a castle and threaten to jump off of you lose.

Wouldn’t stop me I need the extra packs 🤣
That only works if a family member’s soul is on the line… and your major opponent is a fruity foppish fruit fop.
Threatening suicide is a good strategy
Hidden tip:
-You win the game by stoping your opponent from playing Yu-Gi-Oh

What do you mean? I Kali Yuga'd them and they simply set 5 passed and used all their quick effects to u link me on my turn

So don't have fun.😑
52: Play Mystic Mine
During one of my first locals I found a guy who managed to get the exact same hand both rounds, I realised after I hadn't cut his deck as he hadn't cut mine (I was new and terrified). Turns out he is well known for cheating, stealing etc

One tip more !
Respect other cards from ur opponent.. if U want Reading his card take carefully his card and read it and then give it carefully Back! Or in his Graveyard etc.
Ray S I fear my opponent bending my cards lol
Slap those edges, make it slapppppppp
Yeah I agree with this one, I had one person pick up and bend my phantazmay and then throw it back like it was a knockoff kuriboh.
@@turtle617 oh no
@@turtle617 did he also have expensive cards?
The tip about reading your own cards ended up being surprisingly applicable, since I ended up changing around a couple decks that I’d made recently because I hadn’t read the effects closely enough
Don’t be like me, who played too many copies of Performapal Longphone Bull because he didn’t realize it couldn’t search Pendulums
Which tips did you guys really take to heart or never considered before?
Larry always have a battle buddy
90% of it trying to get back in to game and theach son as well so I'm starting from zero I watch everything you guys do to learn new things and show son ps for locals what if I dont have anything close to ne what should I do to make it to one ps ps you should do a local type thing with a fan ijs dont know were you are but it be awesome to have a friendly duel with one of you guys
To call a judge
Using searches before draws. That helps a whole lot . Thank you APS. Peace from memphganistan
Reviewing losses critically. No lessons in a victory but a 1000 in a loss.
3:08 Tip: If your opponent has no psychical translation for a card, don't hesitate to call over a judge.
6:38 Tip: With that same mindset, reflect on your wins strategically, as well because that way you can also determine and works best for your deck and what does not.
Year 5 of Ulti-Cannahawk of Ulti-Cannahawk still limited on the F & L list. 🐦⚡
Okay
One of my friends who passed away I think 3 or 4 years ago, actually supported his locals in a very different way. He'd go out and buy the employees who worked there lunch when he could as well as buying products. So you can do a little bit more when you support locals.
Real talk, I haven’t played yugioh in years but I love this channel. All of you guys seem like really genuine chill dudes. It’s what keeps me coming back!
12:49 is the best tip, play what You want! Since Yugioh 5Ds Blackwings were my favorite Deck so I am still playing Blackwings ♥️
Sometimes I even play oldschool Blackwings without the new stuff, just for the Anime feeling
I see you are a man of culture as well
I still play pure blue eyes to this day.
I am trying to build branded cyber dragons
I just supplied 7 of those tips. Who knew we'd have so many by the end? How insightful do you think I sounded😁?
Alex Fields I think all of your tips were very handy I have been playing the game for a while and am only entering my first regionals in March all of these will help and there were some I didn’t even think of
Alex Fields Where’s the lore videos gone 😭
Really good man. Also, how's that Master Grade going?
I look up to u fr
"Your opponent will play whatever HE wants!" 🤣
I needed this. It felt all you guys just came together, sat my ass down, and gave me the talking to I needed as a player. Thanks.
Love it when the whole squad is in 1 video
In my opinion you guys provide the best yugioh content on CZcams. I watch most yugitubers trying to get back in the swing of things after not playing since gx was a thing and I always enjoy your content. It's fun, helpful, intriguing and informative. I plan on attending a local tournament soon and you guys are to thank. Thank you for all that you do to help the community, and to help teach newish players like myself. It's appreciated. Keep on making that "amazing yugioh content".
Trell should have his own podcast or something, he’s a really down to earth guy who seems to know his stuff.
I'd listen to it for sure!
I literally was gonna ask if he has a channel! Let's see more Trell!!!!!
Such wholesome advice here. I appreciate the hell out of this channel, and you guys. My group of friends and I recently got back into playing, and we’ve been doing duel nights for months. I discovered that I really enjoy the Utopia Archetype along with my Synchrons/Warriors. Been playing them since middle school (2010). Never give up on your deck, always make a play, even if you’re going to lose, and keep a good attitude regardless. I loved the video guys, and my friends and I are definitely going to a local tournament. No archetype is bad, it’s just how you play your cards.
Get your game on guys.
12:50 thank you guys. i really needed to hear this after the "best player at locals" told me rokkets were bad and i shouldn't play them. and then they top the uds...
Yes
I play rokkets too, dw. Sometimes it's a matter of good days and bad days, sometimes a deck needs tweaking, if you enjoy it, play it
They'll be good next master rule too. They already have every boss monster type. Although no-one plays the XYZ but me, lol.
It's the deck, the techs in the deck, the current meta and the pilot. Those things determine who wins a tournament. If you take a deck that has a good matchup against the metas as well as not be weak to the meta counters then you have a good chance to win an event. Add the fact that no one was expecting rockets and had a good pilot, it won a tournament. Any deck can be good, obviously some are better than others, if it has a good pilot that did their research. Know how to optimize your plays, how to play around your weaknesses as well as to how best interrupt your opponent best by learning how their deck works.
RokketFTW. 👍
Time in round is such a critical thing to be cognizant of. Having to decide when to play it out and when to go to the next game is something some players have difficulty with because they feel they can turn some games around and waste time trying. These are great tips. Love the content you guys provide for the community. Definitely has inspired our channel. Keep it up!
Pro tip: rules don't apply if you have enough money*
*brought to you by Kaiba Corp*
Actually kaiba is the one who made most of the rules
@@daenor7807 he does not abide by any of them
@@salemseance4929 in duelist kingdom nobody did in battle city tournament and beyond you bet he follows the rules, he made the rules
@@daenor7807 people abide by the rules unless theyre a main character.
kaiba however did not neither did yugi ever
@@salemseance4929 kiaba is the main character and aside from hacking yugis duel against kaibas stolen deck all cases of his “cheating” are debatable issues while yugi has some pretty solid attack the moon moments, and as I’ve said kaiba literally makes the rules after that so of course he follows them
i will call a judge if my opponent doesnt get it when i make a yugioh reference during a match
Grounds for an automatic DQ
Cheap Cards to pick up as a the “spice” tech. Non-fusion area. Chain to instant fusion, invocation, shaddoll fusion, el shaddoll fusion, and force out the super poly in standby phase. It’s continuous so if you main 3 copies in true Draco, you can use the trap as tribute fodder.
No clue what you said but I’ve seen those cards and I know I’d beat it
Tip : There is no "better version" of a deck : you have to replace card depending of other decks. A card is really good against your deck ? You have to put something for pass it
This 🙌
I do agree...i am just sad in my country we dont have tournaments and locals.. only friends playing...you guys are the best..keep going
Watched all ur videos on fb and it's amazing to see people my age still playing. Just recently getting back into the community, and I appreciate the support from these videos guys. SUBBED
Trell giving life advice out here. Ight time to do this.
9:35 found the vet. You guys are awesome. Can't wait to see more content from y'all.
Thanks for the tips. Especially about using searches before draws.
4:00 Great advice mate. it's just a game, and human respect come's first
I would like to say I really appreciate this video
I'm not a new player I started in 2014 took a break and came back In 2018 and was not confident with how I was playing the game
I am now more confident and watching this video taught me "yugioh common sense" that can really help people, new or returning, and encourage then to play more hand have even more fun
So thank you APS I appreciate the information and support
(Apologies for the long comment trying to show my appreciation😁)
I'm only just getting into Yugioh from the anime, and these videos are really helping me understand this game and the community a lot better. Thank you :)
Well I have been a long-time follower of you guys back when you weren't even all together and weren't filming with all the team! But I really do appreciate how you guys have grown over the and become something amazing for a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh players to be able to learn from. And the best tip I can give you is to just be yourself because when we try to be like, everybody else then we are an unhappy person because we are not being ourselves! Also when it comes to deck building, which can be very dauntingand downright scary sometimes because you think what you're playing is going to do good but it never does because you don't see the game in the right way, to allow your deck to become the strongest it can become LOL
NOT GONNA LIE I HAVE FRIENDS AND I SENT THEM THIS AND THEY SAID IT HELPED ALOT GOOD WORK YALL 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I’ve played the game for years and this is an absolutely great video. Definitely always good to brush up on the small stuff. Great job guys!
It benefits every player playing in every format including todays to know how to play goat-format and to be good at it.
Things like card economy and conserving your resources are an essential part of goat and theories that still stand today.
You guys truly are my favorite YugiTubers.
My tip is to always scour the cardbase for hidden gems that can work in your deck, you never know when that 2011 common you regarded as trash will become a staple of a deck.
the tip of play what you want really hits me. i dun care if i lose alot, i love my dragons and ill get my deck to super good one day.
Finally came back to playing this game, I brought my brothers along. This video will come in handy when teaching them.
I just want to say thanks I been watching your videos the whole team is great and it got me back into YuGiOh and I’ve been having fun and I pulled nibiru in the 2019 mega tin today so I’m living my best life rn ahaha thanks again guys
Thank you this will help me!
Thank you soooooo much everyone @Teamaps this is soooooo useful one day I'd love to go to a competitive yugioh event and this is really helpful 😊
Glad to see you guys doing this , keep it up fellas 💯🤘🏽
Shaddoll effects don't trigger off of discard
But for real have a solid understanding of the rules, whether by reading the rule book or listening to people who have a deep understanding of the rules
I remember playing in 2014, and guys would often huff in frustration with me asking to read almost every card. Glad to know I should continue to do that so I can learn the game lol
This is so wholesome, i wish i could see this 1 year ago, thanks for the advice dudes.
The slightly wiggly camera nad the variety of people made this video feel professional, like a documentary. It is awesome.
Great tips! Keep up the good work!!
This video was super helpful...Thank you Team APS.

15:25 is a reeeeeally good tip. Everybody was selling the invoked engine and i stuck with it when i heard shaddolls were coming back. HAAAA now i got like a 350$ deck and i payed 20$ or so for aleister, invocarion, meltdown and 2 machaba. Seriously, keep up with the news!!!
"Before you respond, ask yourself if it is a threat."
I was playing goat format once and the dude kept attacking with Sinister Serpent. I had a scapegoat set. We were both too decking. I keep letting the atk go through. Dude behind me goes, " Are you crazy? Play that. (Talking about scapegoat)" I say, "Why, it is not a threat." He says, "Because you are losing ng life points." I ended up winning with that scape goat and metamorphasis a few turns later. After the duel I explained to the guy that there is no point in using a card when the opponents card is not a threat and losing life points does not matter unless they will reach zero. This same person who was worried about me loosing life points also played 3 copies of Solemn Judgment. Some people just have no sensible logic.
This is great advice, I'm a competitive Pokemon TCG player, but I am getting into Yu-Gi-Oh with my kids. Great channel guys!
Another tip that is quite small but can help you out is to organize your extra deck (keep fusions with fusion, links with links, etc).
We all consider this common sense but we all fall victim to atleast one of these.
True
lol I’m new so I know basically none of these
@@noahgarrett5195 same
for foreign cards, I always bring a 2nd english card to have. idk if they allow that at big tournaments but at locals it really helps.
Y’all ain’t tell no lies! Great video. Also which branch homey serve/serves in?
The only time you should play more than 40 cards is if those additional cards also help facilitate your win condition. The reason stuff like 60 card decks exist is because those extra 20 cards serve to facilitate the win condition of the deck without the need to see specific cards.
If you're playing a 40 card build of something like SPYRAL or Shaddoll and you decide to add 3 Solemn Judgment and 3 Solemn Strike, all you have done is made your deck more inconsistent without helping your win con, since those decks need to see certain cards to get things going.
LOVE you guys!
Learned something 2 tips in dang! good stuff right here for sure
I'd like to add on to the tip about buying product.
While it's true that not everything will have insane value, there's often a lot of overlooked tech options that end up being really good in certain strategies.
Things like Galactic Spiral Dragon in Chaos Impact being a free rank 8 for Dragon decks, Cynet Backdoor from Mystic Fighters being a budget Cynet Mining that combos really well in Mathmechs, etc.
You might not get the chase card that you're looking for, but you will get something. And those hidden gems are what a lot of us enjoyed as kids.
Hey guys, love your videos. Im a returning player and its just so much to take in. Was wondering if i could get some tips on what booster packs to get (i like opening packs) i would like to build a warrior deck since it was my favorite back in the day. Any info on build, cards, magic or traps to look for would be greatly appreciated.
Tip: Don't be afraid to try new game mechanics when they come out. They might seem confusing and pointless at first, but with time and practice, you'll eventually adapt to the strategies and methods of the game.
Good info as always appreciate you guys
Great video guys!
I loved this. Thank you.
hey i played some of you before. regionals and nats. its always fun playing people that know their rulings. some these other people keep teaching them.
extra tip: do NOT steal... they may have saved up for a long time or may not even be their cards... and you're just ruining their experience with this game...(this should be obvious, but for some reason it keeps happening...)
The only people who steal are assholes anyway, and people telling them not to isn't going to do anything.
Or they are broke people who can't get a job. At least tell them to have cards to trade away or gamble away in a Duel
Rei Crowley then they shouldn’t be going to these events. They should play online and find a job so they aren’t broke anymore and feel the need to steal other cards
4:07 applies to me the most. Thanks guys.
I'm proud of you guys. 💪🏿
Love this video, this should be a PSA for YuGiOh tournaments
I remember picking this tip up a long time ago, but I can't remember from where. Always ask your opponent before handling their cards. Wanna read the effect or confirm a cost? Ask your opponent if you may see the card yourself. It's their cards, their property. You'd want the same. It's courteous
This is a nice video :)

1 of the decks I have is a magnet warrior deck. I at 1st started out with 40, and then I realized what actually will happen after like 5 rounds. I had to change it to 60 so I wouldn't deck out
“Know why you play” man this one right here got me, I played the game on my switch (before it was stolen) cause I love yugioh but can’t afford a lot of the decks with my other habits. This should be a top 10 piece of advice for any game
Hello Team APS. I got 2 2019 megatins and used Larry's slap the pack trick and pulled a thunder dragon titan, thunder duo dark, thunder dragonroar, Knightmare Unicorn, Cyberdragon seiger, Sky Stricker engage, dark ruler no more, and etc. I inspire to become a youtuber just like you guys. When my day goes dim, your my light. Thank you :)
Also can you give me some advise for this Channel. Im to akward on my resent videos.
thanks a lot for those tips they were really helpful. P.S love your vids
Always have a set of dice on hand to start the games. 6 sided or any will do. Also good for things like spell counters. I used to carry a bag of pennies for old school endymion.
About the news tip, I had a Ninja deck which was my first deck and I sold it for it to get the link support a few weeks later. Same with my last 2 decks Superheavy Samurai and Flower Cardian. Welp, I still got my sweet F.A. support, but still hurts... So yeah, check news and stuff.
Also at @Teamaps I just heard how if you dont know If you should run a card proxy it but at the same time I heard taking a proxy to a competitive event can get you a game loss is this true?
at ~ 0:30 he's talking about "is it a three?". What does he mean by that?
Always look back at old cards, u never know what could still be used
I found Sword & Shield which switches attack and defense, Mathmech Final Sigma is unaffected by non Mathmech cards so its a way to do more damage if ur opponent ramped up their attack power
I really enjoyed this video keep it up 😁👍

This is the golden tip of yugioh. Too many people get discouraged because they can't afford meta decks, or they have a hard time comprehending combo-heavy decks. Newer/returning players get put off because they feel they have to swim in the deep end but don't want to drown. Fun/budget decks are the BEST way to get people into yugioh, or keep returning players invested. Just bought my friend's entire collection because he "...can't afford decks to play against people at the card shop." Felt bad for him. I, personally, love fun decks more than anything else. Grab a random archetype that few people know about, build an engine, slap in a few staples, and bam! Something new, something fresh, and something CHEAP. Krawlers are a fantastic example. The core engine of the deck is like $5-$10. It's my favorite deck. Is it good? Idk, does Taco Bell destroy your asshole? There's your answer. But it is SUCH a fun deck. I love taking it to locals, i love the interaction of it, and 9/10 times, people ask me for the deck list BECAUSE they see how fun it is. If you can let go of the "i have to play meta to play at all" mentality, then you will experience what Yugioh is truly about: having fun.
That is a so great Video! keep that up!!
Do I have to cut/shuffle after every search or just my last one?
Where can we go to keep up on the latest/upcoming cards?
Guys thanks a lot for this video !
2:18 Sometimes its better to draw first because depending on what you draw it might change what you search for a better combination. But most times it depends on your feeling and playstyle.
Very nice advice Team APS
All good advice. Some goes without saying, but there is always THAT GUY. 👍
I’m waiting for dragun of red eyes to come out, how long do u think it will take?
