Thank you brother, gave me a boost of confidence with these tips!
Excellent video Bro! Keep them coming!
Big help! Thank you so much for sharing the info.
Spot on when you mentioned listening to both Mike Myers & Professor Messer. Different styles between the two of them but both are invaluable resources with all the knowledge they have put out over the years. Thanks for your tips! I've become committed to memorizing all those port #'s.
Professor Messer is the greatest!!!
Thanks for the video man. Real quick and straight to the point, I appreciate that ✌
Thank you!
Thank you for these tips. And good luck for all.
Thank you these seem like great tips.
Very informative video, Thanks! 👍🏼
Thanks for the video! Ill check out Core 2
thanks for the study guide
Good job bro... Needed that video. Definitely need a core 2 vid
Thank you and I actually uploaded core 2 video a few days ago! Check it out if you like.
Thanks for this
Thanks a lot for the notes G!😎
Can you post the notes somewhere please?
Great Video man...
Thanks man!
Helpful vid! Appreciate you sharing your experience about taking the test, what to study for as well as resources to help with that. I understand peoples process vary tho I'd be interested to know about your process of studying with the resources. Was there a particular way you studied? For ex. Did you study for a certain amount of time per day/week? Also, was there a specific way you studied? Such as watch some vids, look up terms & how to's along the way, write down some notes then use Quizlet or take practice tests?
Thank you for those kind words. So I would study 5-7 hours a day Monday - Friday. I was very luck to have a major opened window of time on a daily basis. I would watch videos and take notes throughout each chapter.
I then would make flash cards of the hard to remember or confusing terms. Then I would youtube certain parts that confused me on how they fully worked. Hope this response helps and good luck!
Thank you guys for all the support! I posted A+ 220-1102 Core 2 as well so don’t forget to watch that video to pass the exam. I apologize for my notes got taken down by Google but I have notes (not mine) in the description that are helpful. Good luck everyone!
Hello. I am taking the a+ exam in October. I am struggling with the performance based questions. Can you please help? I am nervous.
No, thank you for sharing with us tips & strategies to assist with passing the exams!! 💯🙌
@@omarmajzoub3781 how did you do
@@omarmajzoub3781hey did you pass?
I heard this very only is good for you to fix computers for companies and helpdesk jobs. Is that the truth? I was told to do the Newtwork plus and then security plus and forget the Aplus
Thank you so much man💪🏻
Hi ,
For PBQ questions , just drag and drop and then move on to next question OR drag and drop & then have click any Save Options are there ...? and then move on next question.... how it works...
I think like you mention people needs to be more aware about printers and port numbers. Even in a real company barely anyone will work with a printer and port will be using almost the same over and over again. But to get certified is a must. I study cyber security online and they miss fully the areas that we will need to do/use in real enviroment. Not everything taught will transfer to real job, most of it will be learned at your work site.
I agree that's why hands on experience will always remain the top skillset of how to learn something. I was lucky enough to get hands on experience and study for my A+ to compare certain concepts from the exam.
@@cyberacademics Facts, even that i have my associate degree in cyber security im only applying to IT jobs in general to learn more from the basic and up. I may be able to fall into a higher or different position but i would not have the knowledge to back it up.
Hello, Cyber, I took and passe COMPTIA+ some years ago, and I will take the current one soon, but I anted to know, if I take and pass Core1 can I get a cert for that, or, .must' I wait toppass core 2 as well?
Bro studying for this printers is probably the most obnoxious thing to study for and it’s so booooooooooring
Yeah just started studying about printers now it's complex and boring
I feel like it was a breeze after laser and inkjet printer. Definitely abuse chatGPT, too. I had it break it down to me like I'm 5 years old. 🤣
@@Unaffected_Unknow yeah I have use test out for my college so I summarize notes and things that aren't explained well I use chatgpt to break it down for me
So annoying -_-
Quite boring indeed. But got a good number of questions on that including performance based. Know your printers guys. Might cost you your exam if you don’t
Thanks for the info! Very informative. The resource link doesn't work by the way!
Anyone know any cheap practice exams I can get to study before I take the test?
Thanks for the video! the recourse link in the desc doesn't work tho :/
How to practice the performance based question
Did someone manage to download his resources before they remove them?
Hello, thanks for the video, the docs link is not working by the way.
failed core 1 last week because of PBQs on raid, hardware stuff can you some advice how can i improve that ?
How many questions are there about USB types
Great video I will be taking the Core 1 on this Friday..
Good luck!
@@cyberacademics Thank you..
Did you pass
Laser jet printer?
best book to help me study
What do you think of itcertdoctor on udemy? I'm following his A+ course and I like it so far. I didn't really like the way Mike Myers does his videos!
Did you post your notes up again anywhere?
Did you just use Proffesor Messer's CZcams videos ? Or did you purchase any of his packages from his website? I'm currently split between both and quite early in my preperations.
I already Order mike's book since it seems like a good invesement and covers pretty much everything.
What did you end up doing?
@@cringesh1t427 I got Mikes Book and course on Udemy.
can you repost the google doc?
Great video. I am taking the core 1 in a few weeks and I am nervous. I study daily but still don't feel confident
I feel the exact same way, I know I’ve learned things but I feel like I haven’t learned anything 🥲

@@picklesl0ver1use chat gtp to explain domains better for you that’s what I did. I used them to understand how ports work. Make sure your prompts are specific like..for example
Explain the functions of tcp port 20 as if you’re explaining it to someone with a 12th grade reading level use real world examples to further your point so it can be understood
Chat GTP:
Sure! Let me explain the functions of TCP port 20 associated with FTP data transfer in simpler terms, using real-world examples:
Imagine you have a computer and you want to download a file from a remote server using an FTP program. When you initiate the download, your computer needs a way to receive the file data from the server. TCP port 20 helps with that.
Data Transfer: TCP port 20 is like a special channel that allows the actual file data to flow between the server and your computer. It's similar to a pipeline that carries the file from the server to your computer, ensuring it arrives safely.
Active Mode Data Transfer: Think of active mode FTP as a situation where you go to a store and physically pick up the file you want. In this case, your computer needs to wait at TCP port 20 to receive the file from the server. It's like standing at a specific counter to receive the file you requested.
Passive Mode Data Transfer: Passive mode FTP is like ordering something online and having it delivered to your doorstep. In this case, your computer listens on TCP port 20, and the server sends the file data to your computer's specified port. It's like waiting at your home for a delivery to arrive.
Firewall Considerations: Sometimes, firewalls or security measures can interfere with the data transfer process. Imagine a security gate that blocks certain incoming connections. To ensure the file data can pass through the firewall, it needs to be configured to allow connections on TCP port 20, just like opening the gate to let the file come through.
To summarize, TCP port 20 is the doorway that allows the actual file data to travel between the FTP server and your computer during a download. It ensures a smooth flow of the file, like a pipeline or a delivery system. Understanding how TCP port 20 functions helps ensure successful file transfers when using FTP.
Hi, I was wondering did you read the entire comptia a+ book? Im enrolled in a 12-15 week program to take the comptia a+ and im pretty nervous about reading the entire book and learning it in such a short time
This is what I was thinking as well
Did you pass
Im debating on reading the damn book ..... It's 2024 I'm looking at videos a year older online and all the questions change some are the same but I NEED TO STUDY something current cause everyone is selling their year old CompTIA 2023 videos
@@aktyj320yhj hey! yes i was able to pass both exams. i was surprised that the first exams questions were a bit harder than i thought it would. i came in confident on exam 1 than exam 2, but did way better on exam 2. i was just happy i didnt get as many printer questions. try using exam topics. i found many questions on my exam on that site
@@dissinlol i read the book, saw professor messers videos and took a couple of jasion dions exams. but imo dions exams are much harder than the actual exam. also, use exam topics as a practice test.
Been about two weeks since I started studying. Taking the exam tomorrow, I'll give updates. 😅
How’d it go?
Don't leave us hanging🤷🏽
Lol he didn’t pass
Is there a seperate certificate for core1 and core2?
Yeah there are two certificates that join as one. And they have two different exams
@Yugen777 thanks! Already passed the exams last Dec2023 and got the Cert Kit last Jan2024.
Disagreement: At NCR, while I was repairing printers, you will use a computer-based and designated tool set. Wholesale stores use all of the "out of date" things. Trust me, you will eventually use all of what A+ certificates: hardware and software
I wasn’t meaning that A+ material isn’t useful or not used in real world application. I was just meaning some stuff is outdated on the exam and that the printer troubleshooting may not be so in depth depending on where you work. Some companies have a line to call for someone to come in and fix the printers.
Hi , thank you for the information. , my question is how do I get you mentioned those two , Mr. courses How do I get that?
Read the question first and answers then read the scenario so you dont misread the question after reading word vomit
Yes definitely, some of the questions would be a paragraph long not asking anything up until the last sentence. Definitely setup in a confusing/not realistic manner.
So just failed my 1101, 640/900.
During mutiple choice questions the exam page dropped out twice. During my PBQ I couldn’t drag n drop, the proctor had to restart twice during this time and I lost 2.5 minutes. In addition.. I couldn’t answer the drag n drop questions even after the restart which sucked cuz I knew them😏
Im so sorry, if you want to do a in person test then check locally whats closet and maybe do the exam in person instead of online. Sometimes proctor exams are tough. I had a complete power outage during one proctor exam. I was super nervous.
i also faced the same problem, got 633 (1101) , drag and drop questions(PBQ) got stuck not able to drag. The Proctor restarted my exam even after didn't worked...
@@monasenthil The biggest tip I can give you for this exam is to flag each PBQ for save for later. Do this to all of those questions so that you may knock out the multiple choice first. I’m certain that you will pass this next attempt, good luck!
Is professor Messier videos enough to pass the exams?
Not for part 2 in my opinion
