What kind of projects are useful for desktop support/ help desk position I can add on my resume?
@@larrymitchell9897 Anything around Networking, using Linux command line tools, or even troubleshooting simulations would be great to look into! I'd also consider looking at more niche projects too (e.g. Cloud support, network troubleshooting, etc.) if there's already an area in help desk you're most interested in. Best of luck!!
So Smart, So cutee 😍 💖
Got a question what is CompTIA’s Healthcare IT?
I've been studying for a week now..feel like there's more I could be doing
I just got my A+ back in January of this year I tell you, It was the most wonderful feeling equivalent to graduating with a college degree. Now I'm making the transition to IT support role at age 38. Thanks for the advice Sandra!!!
Congratz on being A+ certified!! 🥳 I know exactly what you mean, passing a cert is one of the best feelings ever lol, excited to hear more about your progress, keep us updated! 😄
Do you feel the a+ made you ready for i.t. support role?
Did you find a job in IT?
@@vrn6915 Not yet, getting my resume touched up while studying for the CCNA for the curriculum for the Technical Certificate at the community college I enrolled in.
I am studying for A+ what did you use for your studies? Thks
I swear your videos are gonna help me break through into Tech/IT. I'm a noob rn but I'm following the steps to level up and have experience. Thank you!!!
Im really glad these videos are helping you!! ☺️ you got this, good luck and keep us updated with your progress!🥳
the questions are the hard part not the information, the questions are so confusing and sometimes seem like trick questions
very informative and true to the core as I already past my A plus core 1. Now i have to study for core 2 and I will adhere to your advice. Thanks for your sharing. Perry from Honolulu
Thanks for the info! Will start reviewing soon and hopefully take the exam to get certified.
Awesome guide! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching Luca! 😁
I’m so nervous to start but your videos have really been helping
Im really glad these videos help!! :) best of luck to you!
Do you need a degree for any of these jobs because I’m 26 and I have two years until I graduate I need to make money so I figured if I got this comptia A+ cert I can start working while taking the other certifications and if I need to get a degree in order to increase my salary, I could go ahead and finish the last two years
hi sandra!
I was working on my a+ with messer's videos, but MY GOD, when i got into the IP protocol part (1101) I lost it completely. I have studied on my own before during college and all, but this has been so tough for me. I needed another source of info and i moved to prof. dion. I see that there is a textbook, I see it is mcgraw hill which is pretty familiar to me since I used those books in college, what exactly is the text book good for? is it all the stuff that is in parts 1 and 2? is it like a traditional textbook? I feel like I am more textbook based because stuff sticks more, the note taking, the stickies. I am a big traditional learner, do you think if I buy this book it can help me finish? Thank you again!
Hey Sandra, which video talked about the free MIT courses for cyber and studying I think for security +
I’m studying right now for this. I’m almost done with school in 6 months so I’m hitting 3 certs back to back. Before I finish school next year
Good luck on your certification exam! 💯 3 certs back to back is insane. Looking forward to hearing your progress!
I'm doing my retake for core 1 A+ this month and the fee is about $300AUD after a discount too
Practice exams definitely help especially understanding the structuring of the question to pick the right answer
I've no IT background and am looking to break into cyber security and hopefully pass the exam in my upcoming attempt
good luck also tryna get A+ and break into cybersecurity
How'd it go
I’thanks im nervous to start but so eager to learn
Im going for my comptia A+ exam. Im reallt hype and I will return when I pass. Love the content continue to flourish.

I am currently doing Comptia F+. Plan to write exam en of January. The aim is to transition into cyber security later
Hi there! I'm a total beginner, I don't know a thing about IT🤐 but I found this interesting and I want to get certified for sure. I need some advice, shouldn't we get certified in ITF+ rather than A+ cuz its the basics and how much time will it take to prepare for CompTIA A+ as for a total beginner?
Great video btw
I love watching your videos. It’s so rare to find women in this industry posting their input on CZcams. I’m just breaking into my IT/cybersecurity journey working on getting my bachelors while working full time. I hope to one day also inspire other women to start on this journey like you’ve inspired me. Thanks for the inspo and keep doing what you do! 🫶🏽
Aw thank you so much Alissa!!🥰 I really appreciate your support and i’m so glad these videos are helpful for you! Wishing you all the best and super excited to hear updates from your end! ❤️
I am currently studying Technology Systems here in Utah to gain a bachelor’s degree. Which certifications would be best to obtain to include with my degree to get into the tech field with no experience?
I just passed my A+! I'm considering what I should do next. Your videos are alway so informative!!!
Congratz on passing the A+!! 🥳 I recently made a video on what to do after passing your Sec+ which isn’t exactly the same but can give you an idea on some next steps 😄
czcams.com/video/wliCXJ8hXwQ/video.html Good luck and keep us updated!
how did you study ?
Net+ is what I hear most people saying you should get after A+
Network
I’m 36 I work as armed officer
I want to get into IT work for home. Should I get A+ ? I want to get into cyber security and am I too old to get into IT?
The mock exam is really pi**ing me off now I study for 10 hours daily I get at least 60 question 100% correct yet still end with 65% out of 85 😡
thanks, very helpful. im scared to buy the certification exam :D
you got this!! best of luck studying
I have a question. Im study for the test now with not background in IT. Im using udemys course with mike meyers but i feel im not learning anything. His course is horrible. I dont if it's me or if it's his teaching methods? You know about this course?
Im leaving the military, graduating with a cyber and data security degree. I have no former experience working with cyber other than all the cyber awareness training. what is a good entry role for someone like me
Does taking A+ even if you graduated in IT i still a good move?
where can i rent the a + books please
I just took the Core 1, it was harder than expected.
I saw that he has many playlists for CompTia A+ with different numbers. Can you clarify which playlist to start with?
Yes! I have it linked in my description, it’s the 220-1101 and 220-1102 playlists, the A+ is composed of two exams so there are two playlists. Start with 220-1101 for the first exam
czcams.com/video/87t6P5ZHTP0/video.html&pp=iAQB good luck!!
Hi Sandra, I have all the materials I need to begin studying but as I sit down to do it im daunted by just finding a place to begin, do you or anyone else have any suggestions on where I should be starting such as should I use the exam objectives as a check list and start from top to bottom? I mean as I look at the Comptia book I get kinda overwhelmed and feel like im not remembering things a should be needing to remember, what is some advice you could shoot my way please. Other than a passion for tech I have no prior experience and am struggling to learn period ive barely gotten my life back in order and im just plain doubting my ability to soak this information. Can anyone give me some advice id really appreciate it.
Welp, I'm probably in no place to give recommendations because honestly I have no experience either and am just beginning to study. I'm using the exam cram book from Amazon, professor Messer's videos, Dion's 220-1101 course, exam compass for practice questions, and some Anki decks. I set aside about 2-3 hours every morning to read, take notes, watch lectures, and look at flash cards. By the end of studying for 220-1101, I will go back and make sure I have a firm grasp on the objectives. I hear that it is not a good idea to worry about memorizing every minute detail, but at least understand the concepts. Use repetition to your advantage, you definitely got this!
Thank you for getting back to me I really do appreciate it. I actually found a couple books that go through the material per section which helps alot so I can focus on mobile devices and theres a ton of sample questions for that section then once I grasp it I move on to the next. I basically put aside mike meyers book and use it to dive more into something I dont know well enough or this other guy doesnt explain maybe. If you need any of these books I dont mind sending them to you they definitely help. The lab one from mike meyers is actually cool . @@sisi_life1999
hi thomas! So are you like using books to dive deeper in to the concepts of the exam? is it working for you? Once I study I hit a brick wall with a concept like IP protocols and I fall into a google rabbit hole. what frustrates me about comptia is that well I don't know a lot of concepts and the only way I can remember them is if I truly understand them you know? I can't just remember to remember. I need to understand the terms and all or else I just won't be able to make sense of the content once I sit down to take the a+ exams. lol. :(.@@thomasrodriguez5661
I too am studying and having a hard time retaining.. would you all be willing to form a study group?
Hi Brittany, I'm going to be honest. I put studying on pause so I can focus on the semester, but I plan on continuing soon. The semester is close to finishing, and after that, I wouldn't mind forming a study group. I have a ton of study material that's just sitting around, and forming a group is more motivating than trying to do it by sheer willpower because it's tough.
im using professor Messer right now i start a free bootcamp tomorrow that pays for the voucher. i feel like this is alot of information but its also tying alot of things together.
Good luck with the bootcamp, you’re on the right path if you’re reviewing Professor Messer’s material. Good luck on the cert, you got this! 💯
@@WithSandra thank you so much
There's such a thing as a free bootcamp???
@@ambs92 yeah it’s a non profit
@@KamBamfromdiscord that's awesome. I'm looking for a bootcamp as well, do you mind telling me where you're doing yours from?
I'm 18 and sick of working at restaurants and want a way out into literally anything tech related, would you say this is the best certification to get for an entry level job?
and how do i gain experience in the field in order to get a entry level job because a lot of the criteria for these lower end jobs are 2-3 years of experience but they pay the same amount im payed working at a restaurant as a bussboyXD ive seen that this certification could help with it desk support jobs and so im wondering what in your opinion is the best certification in order to put your foot in the door
do the comptia a+ for entry level roles
go for the comptia a+ & sharpen your skills someone will take a shot at you then get your experience up. The pay will only get better as you gain more experience and certs!
Need one for cysa+
