It sounds more like "simp" and simps are attentive and submissive to women. 6 is an upside down 9 and a 9/10 woman is very attractive. Someone worthy of simping towards. Upside down 1's are still 1's so we have a 9/10 rating woman surronded by 1s which boosts her attactiveness up to a 10. Similarly SNMP (simp) sends out queries (attention and adoration) to port 161 (object of affection) for the discovery and monitoring process (clingy).
THIS HELPS OUT ALOT! Thank you for this! Memorizing Port numbers has been torturing me , no matter how many times I study them & your examples are great! (I also had trouble trying to relate DNS to something relevant to me but couldnt either so dont worry lol) Also, a fun one that helped me that I thought I would share would be for Port 143: Typical IMAX movie screen ratios are in 1:43 .....IMAX / IMAP both utilize 143 (not sure if viewers know IMAX but those that do, hope this alternative helps as well) Wish everyone all the best in their endeavors! "There is no glory in practice, but without practice, there is no glory"
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled to share that I passed the CORE 2, and it wouldn't have been possible without the invaluable information from the video. 🙏🎉
His content is great and helpful, but I wouldn't say it's the best. I'd have to give that to Professor Messer, he is actually partnered with CompTIA so if you're serious about passing give him a shot :)
This probably works better for those who live in the U.S., but for port 53 - Domain Name System, you can relate it to the presidential race. Dwight D. Eisenhower (D) became president in 1953 by defeating Adlai Stevenson II (S), and Eisenhower's running mate was Richard Nixon (N). So you can say... In 19(53), [D]wight and [N]ixon defeated [S]tevenson.
Holy crap I was struggling with memorizing these ports for soo long, but after watching this video three times in a row, I aced them on quizlet flashcards. THANK YOU
great video helps so much thank you. for the 389 LADP and 3899 RDP this worked for me 4 letters = 3 Numbers and 3 letters = 4 numbers they're opposites
This is exactly how I used to memorize stuff I needed to learn back in grade school, coming up with simple little things to help me remember! God bless you sir! This is just what I needed!
Same here bro I struggled with it on my 1101 exam I’m taking 1102 this Saturday just remember what you learned and be prepared for a lot of customer service questions and knowledge based questions
HTTP: Around The World In 80 Days (in a hot air balloon) Seriously, watch the movie. NTP - think of the clock - 1 2 3 69 TFTP - The F- (welp it became awkward)
I am honestly getting a little thrill with seeing this and seeing that someone else used two of the ways I remember some of these ports! I was telling a buddy about 22 turned around is SS, and also told him how 143 means, I love you, and I always think about how much I love IMAP because it maps out my email to all of my devices. I have NOT thought of 20/21 for Forget That Period. THAT is awesome! It just felt great for him to forward me this video and seeing two of the ones I told him matched up exactly. Thank you!!
I think of netbios as when you set up a LAN that you’re most likely gonna be unlucky (13) that it works the first time with a small bit of luck (7) that it does work flawlessly in less than 10 (9) tries. I know it’s somewhat easy to set it up, but that’s what I used to remember it.
Thanks. This actually helps for Sec+ exam too! Although there are a few more ports to remember, like Secured LDAP By the way, Secured LDAP is by far the most confusing port number to remember: 636....LDAP is 389! So it's nowhere close to the number of the secured version 😂
What I am glad I clicked on this video. I have been having a hard time remembering these ports. Do you have any more A+ or IT videos that can help me to remember like the Raid's?
I am terrible at memorizing stuff like this so I'm most stressed about this part of the exam since there's probably going to be a performance-based question to match port numbers with their protocols. Your example for 53 was quite a stretch but 23, 25, 67/68, 110 and 389 make perfect sense, overall nice video!
ive watched this probably 20 times by now and im watching it one last time before my exam tmr, for real this video helped me memorize all of them even on some of the stranger ones i even ended up making up some other ways of memorizing them myself thank you for the video!!!!!!!
389 and 3389 are easy to remember. 389 (RDP) has one less 3 than 3389. Therefore 389 has a lighter weight than 3389. Therefore 389 (RDP) is the heavyweight while 3389 (LDAP) is the lightweight.
I remember DNS as port number 53 because Jerry Garcia died at age 53. So I remember D.eadheads N.ever S.leep 53. I know it's dumb but helps me remember.
389 “all the time” LA.PD sirens going off “all the time” Not quite LDAP but close enough for my dumbass 🤣 Thanks for this btw, used a ton of these ❤ Subbed

53 - DNS

way easier to remember
DNS Do Not/use Salt if you are over 53 years old 😂
SNMP sounds like "snimp" which sounds like "shrimp", and 161 looks like |6| and the 6 is an upside-down cocktail shrimp in the middle of the "road"
