  • It takes about 7 hours and 11 points of contact before a stranger feels safe enough to trust you with a purchase. How can you do that at scale? Daniel Priestley wrote the book Key Person of Influence in 2010. 12 years later, Chris Do reads it, warming him up to Daniel. This is an example of Asynchronous communication and the benefit of being a key person of influence.

Mhmm... I love this. Just inspired me to keep pushing consistently. I was one of those that try to create 'the perfect post' and as a result create less content due to procrastination. Thank you for this a million.🙏

I first learned about the concept of 7/11/4 during the KPI Accelerator program, and it literally changed how I approached content marketing. It's all about building that connection and familiarity, and doing it in a non-obtrusive way (I'm not a fan of ads designed to disrupt whatever you're doing). Prolific over perfect. Love it. Fantastic to see Daniel on your show Chris. Perhaps we'll see Chris on the Dent podcast soon too?

    Great interview!
Dunbars research on a stranger to a good friend are much much more hours.
Casual friendships emerge around 30 hr, followed by friendships around 50 hr. Good friendships begin to emerge after 140 hr. Best friendships do not emerge until after 300 hr of time spent.
240 hours of personal contact, face to face, are required to turn a complete stranger into a good friend,” Dunbar says

Who gets to decide what's perfect? You, or the audience searching for a solution to fix a problem?
You never know who's trying to solve an issue or when they're looking for it.
Depending on who finds and reads/listens to your content, the value they perceive depends on what they're looking for, and that means that some content might be perfect already.
