How dare you betray Burger King...
Youyisa. Haha. 😂
venerable Mr. 汉堡王!!
Wow. You can leave your bike anywhere you want. Man, I am envious. I parked and locked my electric bike in San Francisco. Within 15 minutes, it was stolen. Man.
because people followed by orders and restricted by discipline in shenzhen are more civilized
😂
Nice review barret!
good job Barrett!
man seeing you on the bike brings me back to my high school days in China, now I’m in UK missing my homeland, and my bike times, the breeze, mornings and nights , thank you Ollie
In 2018, I visited a Guangdong McDonald's. I ordered a small iced tea. It cost about $3, more than what I would have paid in the US, about $1.00. In 2019, in Fuzhou, my order of two pieces of KFC chicken, cost a little more than what I would have paid back home. A cup of regular charbuck in Shanghai in 2014 cost me $4. more than what I paid in US1.98. I find KFC cheapest in Malaysia, but in Australia, I had to pay extra for ketchup.
For Malaysia local, McD , KFC n also all other western fast foods are not cheap.
love your videos!
Good video made, Oli. I like this kind of video about food.
Dude, the waiter thought fries was not salty but she changed a new one for u which was so nice LOL Xian is one syllable and xin xian is two.
In Canada, the menu is basically the same as the ones in the US and pretty standard. Burgers, fries, nuggets, and desserts. Used to bring the kids there for the toys collection. They also gave out glasses years ago. We have one set that is just classic. Square-shaped thick glasses with Disney characters that are so durable and dishwasher-proof. Now the grandkids use them when they come over.
Good Job and Support !
McD Malaysia has fried drumsticks for years already (better than KFC, available in spicy & non-spicy) and the pie fillings change like monthly. We have had mango and durian before. They like to use local fruits so pineapple is common. McD here has chicken porridge for breakfast & it's quite good.
I think years ago when I was in Hong Kong, they served rice dishes and crispy chicken wings. Very nice. Great to see your videos again. Hope your dad is doing well.
Really interesting video which is really funny😀
McDonald's in India also serves Indian food. They are pretty good at adapting to local markets.
Actually I think you should do another video on McDonald's morning, which may be interesting for non-Chinese. e.g. congee and 油條.
And for me, when I visit Paris, I found frozen vegetables in the morning, which I couldn't taste in my hometown Hong Kong.
What, your Hong Kong vegetables is very expensive
The bamboo shoot chicken wrap is dope!!!
Damn, I shouldn't be watching this in the middle of the night😂
There's also mccafe in Singapore. Looking forward to more similar videos in Burger King and KFC!
The burger looks delicious.
Happy healthy Easter!
Bike ride video is amazing
The bike is quite fast!
The funkyest thing I ever had from McDonalds in China was a Sunday with hot chill & sauce on top, tasted weird at first but after a couple of spoons you crave the taste, lol
You should check the KFCs, they have localized menu for each province
Rarely eat McDonalds but you made an interesting video.
That BIKE is Crazy FAST !! Holy Effing Sheet!! Don't go for the Size , baby!! Don't go for the size !!
That germen sausage double beef is actually my favorate .
Laowai Park 🤣🤣🤣
McDonald's is always an useful indicator of Purchasing Power Parity(PPP) since there is literally McDonald's restaurant all over the world we can use the cost of a Big Mac sandwich to compare the PPP known as the Big Mac Index(BMI) !
I have seen the survey on costs of McD (it's known as Mac Dee in Malaysia) in different countries and Malaysia's is more affordable than in most countries although it is like also rather pricey when compared to local food.
it’s really affordable in the West…Like the poorest people would have McDonald’s every meal and every day
I have tried the new green tea milk pie in Hong Kong branches, it tastes really good😋
McDonalds are everywhere, from my living place/working place I only take 10 minutes to get there, very convenient. I love Burger King too, but I just know the one in the Peak, that's too far away, so MCDONALDs win😅
Such chain stores can be a life saver for foreign tourists when you can't find any local food you like! Lol.
I ate McDonald's in Suzhou, a little different, but what surprised me was KFC in Shanghai, they use a different oil, which is a popular oil since I smelled it in streets far from the KFC. We can't love everything, I have difficulty with...
All the food you shown is available in M'sia. We even have congee & fried fritters for breakfast
Our meat version is more spicy & crunchier Only thing iis pork is not available
I love McDonald's dishes since 1984 until today.
We have fried chicken here in the Philippines. They called it "McChicken"!
Starbucks is expensive in the West too, just that we are used to spending money we don't have and floating on credit like there is no tomorrow.
I was just going to say the same thing, Starbucks is on a higher end here in Canada as well, and they do try to sell the prestigious feel comparing to other big coffee chains. A lot of their fancy drinks are quite expensive actually, for an average Joe.
Free advert for macdonald
you should try KFC. I was totally surprised by their menu
Spanish McDonald's has the chick wings and they are quite cheap
Chinese McDonald had apple pie about almost twenty years ago which tastes much better than western‘s,but Chinese people aren't originally accept the taste of cinnamon in dessert(we usually put cinnamon as a spicy in soup)so it disappearred, but now more and more people are suggesting McDonald to call it back.
I eat KFC in China almost once per week. Mostly I go for drumstick with price. KFC also has porridge offer. I have not eaten McDonald’s for years.
You can find more meal in Hong Kong (we had apple, pineapple, red bean, cheese and chocolate pie..... ), but I know sale of apple pie in main land was not so good. basically they test the new product in HK first, and then bring to China.
And for chicken leg fans, HK had two types of fly chicken on one set meal(original + honey BBQ + Mcnuggest). and they just add Mocha pie for Easter........
There's also fried chicken in Malaysia's McDonald
Bro, they don't do that here in the states. Got stale french fries, you're stuck with them or pay for new ones.
For most people, 80 CNY is quite expensive in China as one meal. I don't know the accurate average price, but actually in middle-size cities, 10-30 (1-5 USD) is enough to feed a person. As for fast food restaurants, the prices of MCD, KFC and Burger King are set to be above average to promote sales of their membership cards. People who eat those just once in a while would look for appropriate activities to save their costs.
There are many choices for lunch in Shenzhen, 10-30RMB.There are too many choices.

Think this is the McDonald’s near Shenzhen University right? Been there once and the arrangement of tables reminds me. Wish the zero policies would loosen soon 🥺 haven’t been Shenzhen for long because really afraid of being stuck there
13:08 I haven't ate McDonald for while, Since 2014 once I had 40 degree fever after ate a McDonald breakfast then every time I ate McDonald then sick, and now the only purchase in McDonald was McCafé.
I hope to see your video of KFC
I was in Hong Kong several months ago, where there's the same fried chicken thighs on the menu. Pity, I didn't try it.
that sausage burger is great for meat lovers
😍🤩😋
KFC in China also sell Chinese traditional food, like zongzi(rice pudding),noodles, dumpling and other instant food. But I never try it. lol.
Good segment 👍
Btw , I’m married to a Vietnamese lovely lady and have lived there and visit , lovely country lovely people .
As to western franchises , I read an article , if the western franchises stick to the home grown method they are not successful , they adapt to the local dietary likes and are successful ,, just saying , love you and your dads channel 👍🇦🇺 good luck , tim
Yes we got the fried chicken in Hong Kong McDonald
The title says “I ate everything in a Chinese McDonald’s” which if you did, would be a must click video. I was a bit disappointed that it was just you having a lunch at McDonalds, although I figured as much before I even clicked.
🤣When you say McDonald at very first of the video sounds like Cantonese.. I think 'Premium Grilled Chicken Burger' 板烧鸡腿堡 is always the best in Mc,but sadly it's not available in NZ...
Very interesting.
We call it " Rotten Ronnie's " around here.
Fried chicken, both normal and spicy ones are permanent fixtures on the menu in McD Malaysia.
I'm guessing Asia in general.
The first McDonalds opened in Shenzhen about 32 years ago ;)
I miss that Macca spicy chicken wings so much!!!!!!!!
I'm one of the fans who enjoying your biking footage!
In 20 years ago, Macdonald’s was popular in China, but nowadays Chinese people don’t think Macdonald’s is a kind of lifestyle, just treat it like fast food, easy to get, and it’s much cheaper than have a meal in other Chinese restaurant.
KFC and Mac taste so much better than the ones in New Zealand!
You and I just uploaded a CZcams video at the same time, as we both live in Shenzhen haha! Good one mate.
On the other hand, there's nothing special about McDonalds in China, it's the same junk processed food and it is the same in every other country.
Nah for the wings McD's is more spicy than KFC but I don't know about it now though. All I know it's expensive there so much Chinese foods in China that you can get full plus inexpensive though. Pizza hut is big in China while pizza hut in Canada are mostly take out...
We have hot and spicy chicken sandwiches where I live in the states, no fried chicken.
McDonald's in Shanghai is the best in china .you should try that today!
Chinese food is great Makkas ? Supposed me about the same price hear in Australia 👍
Your video made me want to go to China to try their Mcdonald’s 😊
hahahaha Pineapple pine is just another innovation in China, or Asia maybe. We have apple pie, pineapple pie, banana pie, blueberry pie, strawberry pine and you name it. Same goes for pizza, durian pizza for example (I’m actually a bigger fan of durian pizza than pepperoni one lol)
"I ordered everything at Chinese McD's!"
proceeds to order 5 things and waste my time
Barrett, tell you a secret: Buying McDonald's on Taobao is more favorable
I wouldn't eat McD's so often in China. I'll be broke but once in awhile is alright though... You know I prefer going to the university canteen though really decent prices but depends in which university though.
He should really do a video in a university canteen. Chinese universities have awesome cafeterias/canteens.
6:41 She thought you said "it's not salty" lol.
China is on another level even their McDs
you should try the same thing that UK has such as big Mac and taste the difference or they just the same, i think the big Mac is too small compare with burger king's
CHINA PRC Macca's FRESH n CLEAN very modern !
How much all of them together in USA? It is around 80yuan in Shenzeng
u should go to shanghai and see what happening there
I love McDonald’s
The cost of Starbucks in Asia is crazy, price is higher than Canada. I'm always surprised when they're busy especially when they have so much competition for half the price.
price is higher and tastes like shit, even McCafé is better .
lukin coffee is better than starbucks
We still don't have chicken at Maccy D's in the UK. I actually had a McFlurry this morning, love 'em but I don't have it often for money and health reasons!
Bubble tea in Micky D, not a bad idea for major cities in North American. Wait, those bubble could be choking hazard, considering some one got a 1M settlement for hot coffee burn way back when and the number of lawyers here, scratch that.
BTW, love the red bean pie Micky D have in Hong Kong.
PS: Wish your buddy Ben was here. I mean, love to see his reaction on Chinese McD menu.
You’re probably right in that it’s a choking hazard (even if you put a warning label on it, some idiot parent will inevitably give it to their 1-yr old); but I don’t think it’s a fair comparison to use the coffee burn case. If you look into it, it really truly was McD’s at fault (no labels, excessively hot coffee, gave lady 3rd degree burns all over her body). She originally only asked for enough to cover her medical costs (around 100k I believe), but then McD’s started a media campaign against her. It was ultimately the jury who were collectively mad enough that they decided to make an example out of McD’s and awarded her the additional 900k in punitive damages.
@@SoraCyn Thanks for that bit about context of the coffee case. Now that I think back on it the otherside of the case is not very well covered.
Funny enough my favorite chicken burger is actually McSpicy Chicken burger. And McDonald's coffee is just as good as Starbucks if not better, and cheaper.
They used to have the spicy drumsticks, but it's replaced by that crispy chicken. But yeah the fingerlicking good chicken at KFC is better. But if you like Spicy chicken wings, I think McD's is better.
I know it seems except the food everything else is digital. I remember I was in Shanghai Airport and I talked to a robot to give me water. Unfortunately he did not understand my Mandarin.
the lady misunderstood u when u tried to say "the chips are not fresh(xin xian-)" ,she thought u were saying "the chips r not salty(xian/)" lol
You missed the Spam and Oreo burger they had last year
Thank god they didn't have that when i was there 😂
@@BarrettYT actually it was not bad - just my personal view.
In 麦当劳,I only had French fries, fillet fish burger and a few times chocolate sundae. The 麦当劳’s fries is better then KFC, Hungry jacks....I had McDonald's Chicken Porridge in Bangkak。
2:56 Cant use those machines anymore, due to covid prevention.
