I took a long look at the wiring, strange how things should work but do not.....the clutch was adjusted and the valves needed adjusting very badly....spark plugs cleaned and gapped as well. Now I have to set the timing. This was a very good video to inspire my hopes into reality. thanks

Strong Work! Good call on the new carbs , your Norton sounds as it should. Anxious to see your set up for your own wiring harness. Aye if you want to sell that tail light my 1970 Commando S would happy to have it although honestly the black one looks better. Bruce your commitment to this Norton is unmatched . Thanks for sharing all the frustrations after all they are a Labor of Love.

Thanks for watching Jeff and for all your encouragement. I will keep you in mind if I do decide to sell the tail light. Wiring coming as soon as I fix that new tail light.

Dont let engine run too long when tuning without a fan on front of motor because it has a nylon oil tube on the head which can melt..

That happened to mine. Oil squirted out of the hose like a young man cuming. I have a Venhill hose now which is steel braided.

Tighten the exhaust collars "snug" when the engine is hot, then lock them with the lock tabs.
