Nice review and walkthrough but you do realize ram offers free software upgrades for your system and you could of had this software on your 13’. Also you can play video/movies on screen with a simple bypass harness @Gary Tripp
Navigation can be activated from a Ram dealer for about $500. If you have a navigation icon already on your screen, then you already have that. If the icon is not there, then it needs to be activated.
Dan Nativio you press the mute button in the center of the volume knob. You can then press the screen off button if you wish. That's the only way to turn it off.
Lucille Gagnon the mute button essentially does the same thing. When it's muted, it's off. They probably just don't call it a power button as to not confuse people. If it was a power button instead of a mute button, I'm sure some people would think it also powers down everything, rather than just the radio part.
Ha ... this weekend I picked up a 2014 Longhorn ... was driving it back home (1,000 miles) and being new to this type of system I found myself saying ... where the hell is the radio off button, all I can find is the mute button! :) Took me some experimentation to find that the mute button didn't mute other features. :) Glad to see someone point that out.

Android auto wasnt available until the 2018 model year.

P. G. S no there is not on the 2016. I'm unsure about the 2017, but my 2018 now has HD radio.
The nav option includes HD radio function.

Drew Croft the truck tows excellent. I have a 26ft travel trailer I tow, about 7500 lbs total, and I find it tows it great.
