How to Add Navigation to your Uconnect 8.4 System

Your car can take you anywhere you need to go. And now, it can help you find your way, too, when you activate the navigation on your Uconnect 8.4 system.

Uconnect Navigation is voice-controlled and requires no add-ons or new hardware. And because it lives in your Uconnect System, you’ll never worry about batteries, network signals or data plans again.
See, we made it ultra-easy to add Uconnect Navigation to your vehicle-even after purchase. The system comes pre-loaded on your Uconnect 8.4 System… all you have to do is activate it with a one-time activation fee.
System activation can be purchased and executed at your local Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep or Ram Dealership.

To activate the navigation yourself, you’ll first need to write down your VIN. This number can be found on your Proof of Registration or on the inside left corner of your dashboard, under the front windshield.
Next, you’ll need to get your exclusive request code. Here’s how.
SUPER: HOW TO GET THE REQUEST CODE
Step 1. Push and hold the following three buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds: DRIVER-SIDE TEMP UP, DRIVER-SIDE TEMP DOWN, FRONT DEFROST.
SUPER: NOTE: Once activated, process cannot be reversed.
Step 2. When the following screen appears, select VP3 Activate Navigation.
Step 3. The screen will display your Request Code. Write it down.
Once you’ve got your VIN number and Request Code, you’re ready to activate online or over the phone.
In either case, be sure to have your credit card ready. Then, just follow the steps indicated. At the end of the process, you’ll receive your Activation Code. Return to your vehicle. You’ll see a message like this on your screen.
Select OK.
The following screen will appear.
Enter the Activation Code exactly as you received it, with dashes included.
Select OK again.
When you see the NAV icon at the bottom of the screen, you’ll know your Uconnect Navigation system is ready for use. You may need to cycle the ignition a couple times to make sure the system is activated, and it may take up to 10 minutes of uninterrupted signal for the system to be fully functional.
