I'm disappointed because a lot were here for the heavy parts and all, but Sleep Token is much more than low guitars. This song was perfect.
P.s.: The chorus is *WIDE*
I enjoy their heavy moments as much as anyone else, but it’s gotten to the point now where I almost prefer them not to include breakdowns, because of the annoying “heavier=better” mentality that people have which ignores just how much more this band is than that.

What a year for the metal/rock industry. Bands bringing their heaviness back, others experimenting bringing a lot of freshness
Their song Nazareth hooked me INSTANTLY. The musicianship is why I like this band, it compliments the softer pop elements that on their own I may or may not be into.

Love Sleep Token. Alkaline is probably my favorite song of theirs. It had such a weird yet awesome atmosphere, and such a catchy chorus. I loved it and I’m super excited for their upcoming album.
Atmosphere is definitely their specialty. When the chorus hits for the first time, the whole thing consists of just vocal harmonies and a shit ton of spatial effects, which is just fascinating!

Y'all ever listen to a pop chorus and go this would sound really good with distorted guitar? This song and sleep token period does that. Same idea with ending dark signs chorus with guitar. It didn't feel out of place or too cringey metal vibes. Just the right touch to end a great chorus powerfully

I’ve actually been a fan of Sleep Token since they first released Blood Sport as Metalbirb and his channel introduced them to me. Been one of my favs ever since. Love every song they’ve ever put out, including this one. It’s such a beautiful, atmospheric masterpiece imo

This song is the definition of a vibe. Something about the almost familiar feel of the first part and then the piano and drums gives it an emotional feel. And of course, that "breakdown" was sweet as hell, didn't feel out of place, and simply made the emotion even more powerful. In other words, fucking great song
Been with this band since 2017 and I can’t wait to see where this album is gonna take them. Sundowning finally got them to the US where I could worship in person, but I think it’s time they headlined a US tour
They deserve to headline a world tour, so the entire planet can WORSHIP!
Sleep Token honestly are just such a good band and even if you don't like softer music the way they compose their music is amazing and awe inspiring. This bands going to be remembered for along time as being the band that can conform to all these genres of music and anyone who listens can like the song as it feels like they make it for everyone
That initial drop with the jazz influence really makes this song. So excited. This fall will not disappoint.

First time i heard sleep token was with alkaline. And it has been one of my favorite songs since it's release. This song is amazing aswell. Gonna be a great album. I need to go listen to sundowning again before it gets released though. Being a newer fan of their's i have not listened to it that much.

I absolutely 100% recommend Sundowning man and also their songs Jaws, Nazareth and When The Bough Breaks. Every song this band have released is gold though. These are just my personal favourites 🤘

Their song "The Offering" is what hooked me. This song is growing on me. The more I listen to it the more I like it.

I remembered one user (if my memory serves me right, their username was Ender) saying that they wanted to see Sleep Token do songs with jazz influences, and I think Vessel saw that and made this song... Interesting to think about

This is not hardcore. But the other hand , this a really cool song.
I think the people who hate on this song are the people who have only listened to Alkaline and expected a song just like Alkaline

Idk what it is about them, but it's like I trust their band completely, in my eyes they are incapable of making a bad song, I don't trust any other band like this

I liked Alkaline, but this track is levels above, in my personal opinion. Both great songs, but this song is chills the whole way.

I dunno man this song was a let down for me personally. Been with them since before Sundowning. I like the jazzy and experimental elements, they got my hopes up for a majestic chorus which turned out to be very predictable, repetitive and dare I say it: a little lazy imho. Maybe it will grow on me, I won't write it off yet. I don't mind the direction they're going with the upcoming album but in my opinion the quality has suffered a little
Man this is just not good. Dont get why everyone is hyping this band up. haven't liked a single song they have put out for this album cycle.

It's musically amazing, I can see why you're not into it. But I think playing an instrument really helps with appreciating the music they put out. I'm a drummer and I always remember their songs for their gospel style drumming.
I'll put in my two cents on this topic.
I love this band because they're extremely talented, and they do both calm ballads and heavy, chugging songs extremely well. They know when to go insane, and they know when to make things just mellow out.
I personally understand why people hype them up. I do as well. I understand why people don't as well, and I have all the respect for people who disagree. Perhaps they're just saving all the good songs for the album drop in September, who knows.
