    Therion's divine skill does over 10000 on all enemies, 20000 when broken. It's insane. Also, he's self-sustaining.
    Cyrus (as sorcerer) is just my elemental breaker and beast for damage
    Tressa because self healing and sidestep (especially with runelord, giving everyone sidestep)

    So far I think my party is kinda weird but it's been working pretty well for me.
    Primrose - secondary hunter
    Alfyn - secondary cleric
    Therion - secondary warrior
    Cyrus - secondary merchant
    My reasoning behind this was that Alfyn would be my general healer and debuff cure along with being fairly tanky.
    Primrose was already supportive because of the dancer class so I added hunter for the good breaking of arrowstorm along with the critical and accuracy buff.
    Weirdly I turned Therion into a pretty good tank with his natural hp and sp sustain along with warrior buffs and the warrior class offers some good aoe physical damage.
    Cyrus is my main damage source with his huge elemental attacks and giving him merchant allowed him access to another element along with some extra utility.
    I'm only about 25 hours in and my characters are around level 30 so there's probably a lot for me to learn and improve but this has been working pretty well for me.

  • @natehaskey9300

    Pretty much any party can work in the game. Each character shines in their own way

  • @skins4thewin
    @skins4thewin Před rokem +1

    I mean let's be honest, Primrose is the most throwaway character in the game. There isn't much she can do that can't be substituted with someone else. That & the fact that Debuffs are actually better than buffs in this game, and due to the way some of the better passive skills work, the buffs end up being redundant & useless.
    Alfyn on the other hand is probably one of the if not the best character as Concoct is just busted, no getting around it, AND his stats are just great. You'd think he'd have some weaknesses considering how strong he is in other areas but nope, he's just a beast in just about all areas, and you can honestly use him for SO many different roles with that Concoct ability. Cheap items allow you to do all sorts of effects, elemental attacks, healing, etc., plus his physical prowess is awesome. Dude is legit one of the best all rounders & should always be in the party.

    My main team is: Cyrus, Ophilia, H'aanit, and Therion. 2 elemental attackers, and 2 physical attackers which encompasses 2 buff characters, and 1 healing. I really like Olbreric and Primrose as well, so they head up my secondary team. Alfyn and Tressa are definitely my least favorite, since they're kinda in the middle of the pack. They don't have super strong elemental, or physical attack. Alfyn's concoct is nice, but I find myself wanting to save all of the ingredients for boss battles.

      @Flareboxx Před 5 lety +16

      Glad to see you both agree! I made Cyrus a Merchant, Ophilia a Dancer, H'aanit a Warrior, and Therion an Apothecary. That way my 2 elemental attackers (Cyrus and Ophilia) have access to every elemental attack. This also grants Ophilia additional buff skills, Therion can utlilize additional supportive skills (healing and rehabilitation) as well as axe skills; and H'aanit gains more strength and access to a wider range of weapons. This let me encompass all 8 classes within my main team and further enhance their current strengths. Let me know what you end up choosing for yours!

Ophelia is my cleric/starseer, who while is great at healing and buffing, specifically starsong on Therion to make Aeber's reckoning stronger, she has high magic damage for shooting star. Cyrus as a scholar/sorcerer since he's amazing at dealing damage. The last character I change constantly, usually between primrose for her buffs and h'aanit for her physical prowess and summon beast ability.

    I chose Cyrus to start cause I've always loved the Mage style in all jrpg's and my main team started out as Cyrus, therion, h'aanit and Alfyn. I soon replaced alfyn with olberic as I always over level myself so I didn't need the healing and wanted the damage. After sub jobs, my team is now Cyrus as a scholar/cleric, H'aanit as a hunter/warrior, therion as a thief/dancer and olberic as a warrior/apothecary. From time to time I like to swap olberic out with alfyn as an apothecary/merchant. If anyone has any suggestions for me to upgrade I'd be really grateful for any advice you can give me :)

    My team is: Cyrus, Therion, Ophilia, and Olberic. Cyrus for elemental damage put as a cleric for them light magic and heals. Therion provides a decent stream of sp to party and makes it so bosses don’t one shot me, he’s also a merchant which gives him bp sharing and wind magic. Ophilia who is the healer and dancer to provide all the buffs and dark magic. And finally Olberic who is the tank and physical attacker when needed he is also a hunter to round out all the weapons. With this party I can get Cyrus with peacock, alephan, and Alferic pull out the magic the enemy is weak against and they die. Also Olberics’ divine skill is pretty good too.

    Olberic - Either thief or apothecary
    Cyrus - Cleric or Dancer
    And the 4th is whomever chapter I'm doing. Subbed for a healer class assuming it's not Alfyn, because they're underleveled and won't be dealing damage anyways.

    I picked up this game recently, and while I don't dedicate myself to one static team (I try to keep everybody evenly leveled and progressed) I do always keep Apothecary Olberic and Cleric Cyrus with me. Olberic is simply an unstoppable beast at this point, sporting a 10 level lead over everybody else, double the amount of HP, the second highest damage output of any character and the ability to almost fully heal all other characters with First Aid. Meanwhile Cyrus has the amazing elemental coverage that Olberic lacks and the highest damage output of all of my characters, while also being able to scout out all enemy weaknesses and easily heal as well as Ophilia. Not to mention that Holy Light and Luminescence seem to be scaling *very* well with Elemental Damage...

    Team is Therion, Alfyn, primrose and olberic.
    I tend to really enjoy and go ham with all the different buffs, de-buffs and ailments which ends up stacking some real good damage. Not sure if it’s an amazing strategy but i attack in bursts, i get the boss down to 1 away from break then i stack buffs and debuffs on literally everything, break and then just go crazy, full BP all in one big rush attack. Kinda like in persona lol. End up getting an entire stage of the bosses health and more every single time, so it takes usually around 3 or such rushes to finish it up. Ik there is probably some better way but honestly this tactic is what I’ve been working with since the start and it does wonders for me and my team.

    Yeah I started with Therion and he's my boss slayer/evaision tank. Those single target attacks can get seriously up there in damage and im only on his ch2. Ophilia as healer and support aoe, hannit as versitile damage, and cyrus as main aoe damage, I feel like I got the dream team. Tho I am a bit worried my 2nd play through with the remaining 4 might be a bit support heavy. Which was why I was gonna go with mirror 2nd jobs. Therion/Teresa, olberon/hannit (cuz I also have hannit as somewhat of a backup tank role), the apotheary/ophelia, and the dancer/Cyrus. Aoe would be a bit more spread out on the 2nd playthrough I guess.

    So I started out as therion. And tbh I wasted a lot of the nuts too early. Currently I have it at therion with hunter as a fast physical attacker Cyrus w/ sorcerer as fast elemental attacker, olberec w/ apothecary or sometimes hunter as physical tank tanking a lot of physical damage and dealing a lot of physical damage , and ophilia on dancer or scholar as the support and elemental tank. Debating replacing therion with haanit and have her on warrior. Going back to the nuts I probably should’ve waited to use my attack nuts on haanit instead of therion because even if she is at the same level as him his attack stat would be higher. Also yes I have finished therion’s story so I can take him out of my party now.

    @JaceOKami Před 5 lety +1

    seeing standard jobs coming pretty early in the game, considering them for your setup is not a bad idea. advanced jobs are more late/endgame oriented. with that said, i run the following:
    H'aanit (Hunter/Scholar) - with her beasts and elemental attacks, she actually makes for a very potent hybrid attacker and is very much able to be the solo carry if need be.
    Alfyn (Apothecary/Cleric) - Concoct is just too good, give him AoE heals on top and your party won't ever die. BP spam is honestly all he needs to do.
    Therion (Thief/Merchant) - Sounds weird, but does work. Honestly, I only take him with me so I can open purple treasure chests. Merchant gives me wind element and Collect for extra money. Also, Share SP + Rest is a great skill combo. Might swap for Tressa with Thief secondary later tho.
    Primrose (Dancer/Apothecary) - ye, no Warrior class, i just don't like it. Prim is here to close all left open gaps of my team: last path action, Dark element access and damage boosting buffs. Apotecary is mainly to have a second Status blocker so things don't go out of hand that quickly when enemies literally s*** poison/sleep/etc.

    cyrus is outclassed once you get the secret classes, because one of them is just like cyrus except stronger, and so theres no point to put it on cyrus because it'd be wasted. And then tressa though, with the right secret class....HOLY SHIT. She is the best match for one of those secret classes because it can make her 100% dodge become party wide, damn awesome for the heavy hitting bosses, and the bonus is that she is also pretty tanky.

    • @Rex13013
      @Rex13013 Před 5 lety +1

      Metal Steel That's what I keep saying ever since people starting saying sorcerer Cyrus' the best, he's just relying on that class, rendering the scholar one useless. I personally use it on Primrose, and she is as strong or stronger than Cyrus.

    • @favsmmk
      @favsmmk Před 5 lety +1

      Metal Steel I don’t get this line of logic. How is it wasted? Sorcerer essentially upgrades Cyrus and allows him to do what he’s been doing the entire game better, using high damage multi hit magic. Think of it like this scholar starts off with Fireball and Icewind would you say that getting Fire storm and Blizzard is a waste because then you’d never need to use Fireball and Icewind again?

    • @Rex13013
      @Rex13013 Před 5 lety

      Melanie R To answer your last question no, not really. I wouldn't really say that getting blizzard and fire storm is waste but this is different, while I don't think he becomes useless or anything, he still does great damage, but he doesn't get anything useful from the scholar class.
      The spells you get from the sorcerer are far better so why use the weaker ones (other than to save sp) and analyze isn't as useful into the late game and even less if you got the sorcerer and warmaster, so you're left with just a damage dealer, and that's fine if that's what you're looking for, but for me I like the 2 classes I have on a character to work each other, help one another or bring something more.
      But that's my opinion it's ok if you still don't agree, but this is why I feel this way.

    • @favsmmk
      @favsmmk Před 5 lety

      Gps1337 my question at the end of my comment was more Rhetorical than anything, of course you would use Firestorm and Blizzard. My point is that Cyrus spends the entire game before getting sorcerer casting constant magic to break the enemy with an occasional Analyze and then boosting that magic to do massive damage. Doing anything else like buffing or healing is time spent not doing damage which is rarely worth it. So sorcerer just allows him to do what he was already doing most of the game even better, I just don’t see how not needing to use his base skills is a bad thing. Also Cyrus does have a bit of synergy with sorcerer in that he can cast Alephan’s Enlightenment on himself. But in the end it is just a preference thing.

    • @CrimsonStigmata
      @CrimsonStigmata Před 5 lety

      Not true. Cryus as a Sorcerer is an upgrade from Scholar. Instead of two AoE elemental hits it’s three and the offensive subjob traits from Sorcerer is better than Scholar. Plus he looks the best as Sorcerer. XD
      You get study foe with Cryus and analyze from Scholar as well as decreased encounter rate with Scholar subjob trait.

    well the main team i had created was Cyrus as leading character with his primary job as scholar and first secondary job as merchant for swapping between the midtier fire ice and lightning magic or wind magic that he gets from his primary job and secondary job. but I then swapped his secondary job to the secret job as Archmagus for the high tier magics because he then gets access to all elements and strikes thrice and I am planning to start him also on the hidden job of Starseer for the support skills.
    Then for main team healer I got ophelia with first her primary job as cleric and normal second job as dancer for the dual light/darkness healer and supporter and then further her powers with the hidden job of Starseer for the regeneration skills and the support skills that come with it.
    then my main team juggernaut or physical attacker is Haanit. I first placed her in this team with her job as hunter for hunting elemental creatures and healers with her first secondary job as a warrior for more weapon options and later in the game to the hidden secondary job of warmaster so she would have full access to all weapons and combined with her speed and job support abilities make her a speedy yet deadly force.
    then for the fourth slot I took thressa because she is just a jack of all trades with her primary job as a merchant for early money gathering and benefits with the cleric as her second job because she can self restore HP and Mp points. With her secondary job now changed to Runelord she is now a Elemental augmentation and special operative with her skills.

    30 hours in and halfway through the Chapter 2s. Ideally my main party would be Olberic/Primrose/Cyrus/Ophelia but I chose H'aanit as my protagonist going into the game before I knew anything about it lol.
    So for now I make do by having H'aanit, Cyrus, and Primrose be my main party with Ophelia coming in when I'm doing either of their chapters, and the others being rotated into the party in place of Ophelia when I do THEIR chapters.
    I like to focus on the units that have the best stats for the roles I want them to play along with if I like the characters themselves. Olberic seems like the ideal physical juggernaut (p.damage + tank), Primrose I like for having really speed/evasion/m.atk so she can be a buffer/off-magic damage/debuffer running Scholar or Thief as a subclass. Cyrus running Cleric is pretty amazing, allowing for him to be an off-healer when I don't need his damage, and Ophelia takes care of most healing along with curing status as an Apothecary subclass. Alfyn would probably do this better by having more bulk and thus more survivability, but since Cyrus is an off-healer as well Ophelia tends to survive just fine. I'm not too huge on Alfyn or Tressa as characters or in-terms of gameplay, so I use them the least.
    Therion I do like a lot, and he'd be all right taking Primroses place as a debuffer/supportive role.

    But what I was the most impress is how Ophilia is SUPER Tanky whit he physical and magic bulk being really good for someone that can self heal herself + she gain a thing that make her able to Over heal I think makeing her bulk really good (probably since I only play the beta but it was nothing to laught at takeing like 5 damage at some point whene blocking.)

      I don't got the game yet tho I got 3 job I thinking for her:
      Marchant, Warrior, *Spoiler* runemaster (I think that how it name)
      Marchant maximize her Mix bulk and I think Hang Tough would fit really well on a character that can self heal if in need, + it boost a bit he physical attaque that aren't too bad but could use a boost,
      Warrior Help her whit her subpart Physical attaque (that aren't too bad there worse physical attaquer) and also help her HP and Physical bulk whit some Skill that could help her out late: Cover, Summon Strength, Surpassing Power (ultra late game) or even Endure (buffing her bulk even higher when hit by control) tho that would't probably be the end classe since the lack of magic damage is a kinda bad for her
      Finally *Spoiler* again runelord for the class skill (give her acess to really good single target damage and break), also there some good passif there too that could help her whit her other classe if needed like Stat Swap (for the warrior it could help, or Elemental Edge bost her Heal and also whit the marchant or runmaster her Bust whit her element.)
      Any way that just the 3 job I am thinking for her. (i will probably go in that order too Since Marchant is good but I like to give every one support ability so for the late game it won't be her main role but it fit really well any way.)

    I used Ophelia Alfyn, and Primrose as my main core, and had Therion as my forced protagonist.
    Ophelia spends every turn before a break using heal all, and then uses all saved up BP on high powered spells.
    Alfyn was the main reviver (ophelia needs to spend BP in order to revive properly), backup healer, and had Concoct, which I mostly used with pomegranate to get Ophelia's 4x spell damage twice in a single break.
    Primrose buffed magic attack.
    Therion provided a steady stream of Pomegranate Essence throughout the game, and in postgame he became a backup Runelord buffer (basic attack Ophelia with a rune enhancement dealt significantly more damage than using a 4x magic spell, letting her keep BP for healing).
    Everyone has the double attack skill from Hunter, maximizes breaking and doubling DPS when equipped with a rune, and a few with spare slots had the other ones from thief / dancer.

    My team is: Ophelia, Cyrus, H’aanit, and Tressa. Every team literally needs Tressa for money. H’aanit is my physical. Cyrus is my magic user. Finally, Ophelia is my support.
    Tressa is there for money, but also because she’s apparently a very good Runelord. For now though, she’s my thief.
    H’aanit is basically my Olberic with the hunter class. I think I chose her ‘cuz of summon. She’s gonna obviously be my Warmaster
    Cyrus is my Magic user. I gave him dancer because it supported him and also gave me access to more support and magic (dark). Obviously will be a sorcerer
    Ophelia is my protaganist so I can’t really do something about it ok? But, she’s of course the best healer. She has apothecary for now, but I want her to be a Starseer.
    Pretty good and used team by the fandom. Using all the advanced classes. I feel like there must be a flaw somewhere, but someone needs to point it out.
    Alternative team Is just all the rest of the characters, but with the job the original team had.
    Example: Alfyn as a Cleric, Primrose as scholar, etc...
    Edit: I forgot that I wished when they got the second jobs it would give them the talent, but that would make talents not so special so I guess not.
