Just got an CR-10S (last week) and while it does make sounds like this, the volume is lower. What I find is the PSU fan is louder than the stepper motors. Personally I find that about 7-8 feet away I can't hear it above the TV, but my wife says she can hear the whine off the PSU fan.
To perform a fair test you should have kept the same distance from the printer, and printing the same identical piece. Instead, in the AFTER part you were farer than BEFORE and printed a piece that for its shape and dimension is far less noisy than a round gear. That's misleading.
there is a big problem after installing dumpeners: stepper motors are connected to the base trough metal and after hors and hours of work they stay cold, with dumpeners became very hot in few minutes till more than 60 degrees! so i suggest to put over the stepper motors some aluminum heatsink
yeah but once it droes a travel move it's loud af. Just a word of advice if you have one in your bedroom give up. you can't make it silent enough to sleep next to no matter what you do just put it elsewhere!
This appears incredible! Cannot wait to watch the same as this. Great job.
mine sounds like a jet engine screaming for mercy. I think I have some bad bearings but I'm waiting for them to fail completely lol
LOL sounds like old Arcade games.
