I don t think this is was an action of the miracle, the penitent is taken somewhere else by the angels, away from the influence of the miracle because in the other ending the Penitent is merged with the incarnation of devotion, and that is probably the will of the miracle. In this ending he just escapes that.

Just as Deogracias was the Miracle's messenger in the first game, it seems to me like Anunciada was sent directly by the Miracle from on high to help the Penitent One stop the birth of the Devotion Incarnate. And being Big JC analog in Cvstodia and i assume from that kinda chill dude he aids the Penitent One letting him tap int the power of Miracle.

There's nothing suspicious here, the dream is holy and older than the Miracle and by extension, the High Wills, and where the Penitent is lifted up to, is a kingdom that's higher than the dream, so it's most likely the place the Anunciada talked about, which would mean that this is technically a True Heaven, beyond time and space, and if this is the canon ending, then the Penitent, now freed from his Penitence, is and will now be together with every single being he was guided by in his journey, in a place that's neither at the beginning, middle, or end of time, for all of eternity.
Which leaves Crisanta, where there will probably be a DLC just for her, where she will eventually get into that kingdom as well with the guide of the Penitent now turned Saint, either that or it's a plot twist.

I'm not too keen on this ending. Something feels off, like too good to be true. My interpretation of the story is that the Miracle, in its divinity, can't bring himself to comprehend the material world; same way we can't comprehend its will. It is always trying to manifest itself, but for each good deed, there is always a gruesome involuntary catch (like the long awaited child who's then born deformed and with a black wing). That's why it is always trying to produce an offspring, but every attempt is more grotesque than the previous one. So having the Penitent ascend in the end is no different than all those miracles... For there is always a catch.

We saw the twisted one fade away last game yet here he is again. Also, to assume the Miracle is not stronger or otherwise influencing things is naive, given we know precious little about it.
