Rosemary ~ John Cunningham ~ Kildonan Hotel, Arran

"Rosemary" was written by Iain Fergus and performed by the Scottish folk band, New Celeste during the 1970s. I heard the song live several times during that period. I picked up the melody and chord sequence and some of the words. I added a few lyrics of my own and have been playing "my" version ever since. Iain Fergus kindly provided me with a recording of the proper version, which is fabulous. I often play a version of it, too, complete with the bridge section. However, for the performance at the Kildonan hotel on 27th August 2012 I reverted to my original interpretation.
