Hi, I’m Sue from Lancashire, UK.
This channel is just me getting out and about in a converted VW Campervan, occasionally with friends but mostly solo. Fun, laughs, moans, groans, mistakes, and successes. It’ll all be in here!
I’ll share new places, hints, tips, any info I discover and whatever else I think you might find useful.
I began vlogging my solo travels in ‘Vanya’, to help me re-engage with life following the sudden, tragic loss of my husband nearly 3 years ago now. Working through a very complex grief has been the hardest & loneliest challenge imaginable. Some days it still knocks me completely sideways and probably always will. I really don't know. All I do know is that life can change forever and irreversibly in an instant.
By returning to the vanlife we had enjoyed so much together & embracing a new found love of video creation and vlogging, I’m continuing to build strength and balance to move forward through this completely unforeseen and unwanted next chapter of life.
Thanks for joining me. The company is nice.
    Sue x

Hi .a good tip for anyone using or needing a safe overnight park up at Ardrossan. That long stay carpart at ferry check in hut..its £5 for 24hrs .we used it on our last night before heading home to CairnryanBelfast ferry.
And there's an Asda with cheap fuel just across the way..great vid..love that ferry crossing..ALWAYS gets me excited to visit Arran😁

"The Caledonian Mac... Mac Bray... Mac... Calmac!" 👍🤘🤣
I think I've been to Arran before. We lived in Saltcoats when I was little and I'm sure my granny took us over for a day trip on the ferry once. Probably about time I went back for another look!
As for when you're too old for -swinging- swings, I think it's just until it hurts too much or you just can't squeeze your arse into it! Actually, that really applies to both! 🙃

Thank you. I notice we’re using similar graphics. I’m still trialling this and would ideally like to master google maps a bit better. I’ve so far heard the motion sensor could be 2 clicks of the key or possibly within the menu screen in the dashboard. You might have a switch on the drivers pillar? I haven’t but the older T6 did. Safe travels, Sue.

I was over the moon when your video popped up 😁 This looks like it’s going to be a fabulous trip and I can’t wait to see more. I’m not sure about the T6 alarm but I know if I left my dogs in the VW Tiguan I had to press the lock button twice in quick succession to stop them setting off the alarm after I locked the car. When we were in the New Forest I left a window open on the van and went for a walk with the dogs and the wind set the alarm off. I was chatting to some people and the Bob Earnshaw mentioned someone had left a window open and and the alarm was going off 😩 Thanks for sharing another great video.

Ah thanks Sylvia. I’ve read about the double key click and also heard that the motion disable switch might be in the dashboard menu. It used to be a switch near the driver’s seat & I can’t understand why they’d make it more complicated 🙄. I love your story about your sensor it makes me feel better 😂. Happy travels x

Sue, when you open the drivers door look at the panel that the seatbelt comes out of. There should be a button, press that before shutting the door and motion sensing should be switched off when locked. You have to do it each time you want it turned off.
