I wish EVERYBODY has as much common sense as you. You nailed everything. I'm 13 and at my school so many people already are dating and act like there so mature, when in reality we are kids and should just be worrying about school and our friends. Sure it's normal to have a crush, but seriously is it necessary to be in a ALL TEXTING relationship where you are apparently in "love" with each other. People through that word around WAY too much. To be in love takes time and full commitment. Most adults don't even know what true love is. I'm sure some people can relate to this.

Hi, I guess you forgot about one, and it's the fact that some people they claim to love you the firsts month and then after time passes by you realize that they're trying to change who you are. They claim to like your personality, but then they say: "I don't like this thing nor that thing" (messing with your hair style, way of getting dressed, your music taste and stuff like that ), they trynna change you, but you're there wondering "Do I really need to change?" and you ask him/her "But what's wrong with it? it's how I am" and then they say "I'd like you more if you..."...

If I was in a relationship and my partner put restrictions on me like tells me not to go somewhere or to hang out with people I would instantly break up with them right there on the spot
The first one really got to me... I do really depend on people a lot for happiness without even realizing it because I simply hate myself and my life. I dunno, being transgender, having social anxiety disorder, and being just plain insecure about every aspect of myself, I have to rely on other people for positivity or else I'd end up going mad and most definitely killing myself. It's scary to think that it's not good or healthy to depend on other people because I really don't know how to make myself happy and I don't think I have the strength to try...

Its okay, I depend on other people a lot for happiness too but to be honest, that makes me happy and people around me would tell me if they are sick of it but this video is sort of telling people how to live their lives but you don't have to follow it if you don't want to, I'm not going to. If depending on other people makes you happier, do that :)

It got to me too. I'm disabled and have no choice but to depend on people even though I want my independence. I also have severe anxiety, insecurity, self hatred and a skin picking ocd. Honestly, I think I would kill myself if I didn't have people around to motivate me into finding my own happiness.
Depending on people is never a bad thing if you're going through depression or bad times. It may feel like you're being a burden to others but if they truly love and care about you, they will not mind. It's so hard and scary getting out of a vicious cycle of depression so severe that you don't even recognize who you are, but finding the strength to depend on others is the bravest and most difficult thing you can do for yourself. In this case, I like to think of depending on others as a temporary crutch until you find yourself and your own happiness.
You are capable to depend on yourself and that will make you feel happier and stronger... i was a person who constantly depends on others and didn't like myself ..in fact, I couldn't stand being alone :(
But thanks God I improved myself after reading books and watching videos about self improvement
It is really nice to feel that you have the power to do any thing and to have people around you when you are in need... it feels amazing to have a voice and to be a leader...
I don't want you to live your life like that, so think about this issue and try to help yourself by reading or asking experts...

You are so right on the first one. That's one of the reasons my relationship with my previous boyfriend failed. It was always my responsibility to make him happy when he was sad, to keep him happy, to always have time for him just in case he got upset for some reason. At least it felt this way.
Okay, so in friendships, I end up being a leaning tower NOT in the way that I depend on them for everything, but if I'm upset I need someone to talk to me about it. Constantly. It's one of the most annoying things about me, but I just wanted to see if anyone can relate.
My best friend dropped me after he got into a relationship. It wasn't even gradual, he got into the relationship and then immediately I never heard from him. We're now acquaintances at best and rarely talk. I'm stuck between, "Yo, fuck 'im" and hoping they break up so I can have my 'bestie' back. I should probably just move on and find some new people to talk to, but I haven't met another person I could call 'best friend' and barely anyone I could call just 'friend.' He and I were close friends for years. *Years.* And he drops me like that. I dunno if I should be bitter, sad, or laugh at it.
All I know is, if they break up, I might not be here for him. I'm tired of being peoples' backup.
I know how you feel because I have been in your place before and if they break up and he tries to come back to you I think you should just tell him that you don't wanna be friends with someone who would drop you just like that every time a hot girl walks by,find your REAL friends because life is too short to love people with all your heart who don't love you just as much and who aren't there for you like you're there for them.and I know its hard to find someone you could call your best friend but you'll meet them eventually,like I said I have been in your place before and I found someone that showed me how true friends act and what they do.
I know exactly how you feel,me and my "best friend" have been with each other since we were born,really. We stuck to each other like glue but then, BAM! Secondary school! As soon as we stepped in there,a boy came up to us and was damn rude! My friend was rude back,then,it stopped. The next thing I knew,is that they're going out, my friend has been dumped numerous times,but she still goes back to him! The other bad,annoying thing,is that she's a gossiper now,so whenever something happened between them,she immediantly goes to me. I don't wanna hear her problems when I've got my own! I chose to go to the school that I now hate,because I wanted to be with her,but now,I've seen many other people who are my BEST friends,and they all go to a different school. The school that I'm trying to get in. But when I tell her,IN CONFIDENCE, she has the nerve to BEG me not to go! I'm really digging this. I had the boyfriend who I tried to police into monogamy and all I got was a side bitch threatening my life. Got out of that, took some serious me time and met a wonderful man who is more into PDA's than I am and shows me off to the world. We've been together almost 2 years and there have been no side bitch phone calls, no side bitch late night texting, no side bitches posing as a "cousin", very little drama.
It is so much more peaceful and fun on the other side of bullshit. I can never see myself going back to that type of foolishness and chaos again. Codependency is for the turds!

Omg I totally relate to the "leaning tower" ship -_- I have a friend who gets depressed a lot and whenever she needs someone to talk to, I'm there for her which is totally fine...... But she's come to rely on me SO much. Like she NEEDS me to tell her she's doing good, or to push her to do things, or fix all her problems. If I don't, she messages me until I do. I've lived on my own since I was 17 and I can't really relate to that. I would be fine with it if she listened to me too once in awhile, but she never does. When I try to tell her stuff that I'm struggling with, she flips it back to herself like "wow that really sucks.... Do you know what else sucks? Today I... (ect.)" It's frustrating and it kind of hurts. Like hi I have stuff I want to vent too! Even though she says I'm her best friend, it's totally one sided :(
+Heather Kaylie YES. I understand this COMPLETELY! It is really messed up, and somehow they always manage to make anything about you, about them. Or? They just go "Awww, I'm sorry. That sucks." and then change the subject quickly. I had a friend exactly like this, even tried pointing it out to her. She AGREED, and then... nothing changed. Went right back to the world revolving all around her tragic life. Friendship is a two-way street, I think a lot of people don't realize that. My only advice would be... to maybe try talking to her about it, and then point it out AS she's doing it. this was honestly the realest video I've ever seen. If I'd found it sooner, perhaps I would have saved myself a lot of trouble. I'm in a situation that involves most of these things and now I realize it's just not worth my time. Reality is harsh :(
The restriction thing goes a few ways:
a) if you see certain problems with your partner, e.g. their tendency to cheat (example Lilly gave), then instead of placing restrictions on them go look for someone who is worthy of your time.
b) if there are no such problems with your partner and you're the overly obsessive/possessive/clingy/doubting kind of person, you are in the wrong if you put meaningless restrictions on your partner where your partner feels alienated and isolated from the world, like if you tell them to stop talking to their friends or like 50% of the population.
c) if you are restricted from something that you feel uncomfortable being restricted from and feel like you're the one who is being isolated from the world, RUN. Run and never come back. Again, look for someone worthy of your time.
From "people are not in your life to fulfill your every need" to no signs of a healthy relationship on Facebook, I absolutely agree with everything you said. Funny that you post a video of this after I ended my relationship. We didn't make the 2-5 mistakes, but #1 was the big reason it had to end. Thank you for being my voice of reason!

I'm 13 and my friends have already had 8+ boyfriends(not at the same time) and I haven't had one. My friends are always like " u need a boyfirend to make u happy" and im like no, I really don't. And half the time their relationships dont even last 2'weeks. They are already thinking about sex, and i've talked to them before that we are kids, and that we should just play outside in the snow. And when one of their relationships last longer that 1 week, they use me just to talk on oovoo with their boyfriends cause they dont have Ipads, ive figured that out so now i dont allow them to come over if they arent gonna talk or play with me. And after that point they arent my friends for like a week until their relatinships dont work out and they need someone to cry to after they've befriended them, right now im really questioning if i should eve call the my frriends. God please help my friends and knock some sense into them

I don't like it that my boyfriend goes out to party and drinks. I know he goes out with his friend's and they keep him safe. I'm so scared of him finding someone else, sleeping with someone else, and or getting drunk and get hurt. He doesn't have an issue with drinking. I just never liked it. However, I just watched this video and it kinda think about it... I have my insecurities that I should just get over. I can't keep worrying about it when all in all, I know I remained faithful.
