I think that tight disclosure rules like regulation FD have actually hurt retail investors and cause more big gaps. I have been hurt more than I have helped by holding even partial positions through earnings. I miss the days when there was "information leak"and you could join the insiders, so to speak, by following the price action.

Always seems easy to take profits away from the 20ma after the fact. In real-time what looks like away from the 20 might not be that far in hindsight if the stock makes another leg higher. I totally agree with the concept but anybody who has traded for any length of time know that charts in real-time look completely different than the chart looks like at the end of the day.
