I just came across this post. Boy did it bring back memories, when i was a kid in 1954 i had a 12ft Barbour utility with a Mercury Mark 20, it really ran. Thanks for making a 81 yr old man remember fun times
Nice work man. Currently I am putting a new oak keel on 1940s ceder strip 15 footer and have a maroon 56 mach 25 with the last two coils in Murcuries parts bin installed last year. About 20 years ago I painted it back to origional cream color but like the oxide maroon finish so much I left it alone. I did buff the paint off the coil starter and motor clamps..polished finish still is good. BTW do you know were I could get a new faceplate as mine was stolen? Thx for the utube as it is inspiring.
