I think one underrated part of this sketch is that is one of the most unimpressive, normal-looking burgers I’ve ever seen.

You know how I found out about this bit? I kid you not I had a friend who word for word recreated the entire sketch down to every last detail in real life while a group a friends and I were eating out, not only that but he was the only person in the group who’s seen the sketch so we all genuinely thought he was crazy, it was hilarious
that’s funny as fuck. I wanna be friends with that guy.

Sad news: Bob McDuff Wilson, the actor who plays Professor Uribe, has passed away. He absolutely stole the few minutes he was in this sketch. No doubt he's going to keep us smiling and laughing for years to come as we come back to this clip. May he rest in peace.

This is my favorite sketch. I quote it constantly. The professor is either a master-class actor who knows the PERFECT way of delivering his lines, or that is a real man saying that shit.

I love the choice of language that Tim and the writers use throughout this show. "Are you going to tell people that I 'housed' Dylan's burger?" "You owe me a new shirt, you 'wrecked' my shirt." It's just great. Small touches like that make the show so much better.

As a former SNL writer, on his own show, Tim consistently shows the best quality skits SNL could have ever produced, but he actually has the skill to close a sketch, unlike SNL. Just look at how the professor's last line shoots the puck through the five hole. Genius.
These sketches would not work that well on SNL's format. Tim is able to give them the platform they need to be funny.
SNL is live and has to play to a live audience, it wouldn't work. They are shit now for different reasons.

At 1:20, when he says "I'm joking" again after saying "gimme dat," and then his eyes briefly scan left and right, I fucking exploded. My throat, chest, and head started hurting from laughing so hard. I might have laughed for 10 minutes without stopping.
