i watch all three of these at least once a year, and they never get old.
If the SNL actors broke all the time, it would really mess things up. But the occasional breaking followed by them desperately trying to regain composure is one of my all time favorite parts of SNL.
It's especially funny when it seems like the other actors slightly dial up their weirdness in response to someone breaking just to make them struggle a bit more. Like Kevin Hart was breaking and trying to turn away to compose himself but Tim was giving him no space lol. I love it lol.
Another example I can remember this happening was with Kate McKinnon and Ryan Gosling for the Close Encounter alien abduction sketches. For one of those, Ryan was breaking and trying so so hard to regain himself. You can see Kate notice and in response get even more into her character to try to get him to break more. At least that's what it seemed like
