A drivers' ed teacher saying "wow, pretty serious" after watching a dated video might be the most accurate thing I've ever seen
Even the way he clicks the remote is so spot-on driver’s-ed teacher
"Guys, what'd I say?" is total overmatched gym teacher trying to teach health class
YESSSSSS
What the hell are you talking about?
Pretty crazy!
Of all the amazing lines and deliveries in this sketch, "they keep my house HOT!" just destroys me every time.

Her use of inflection is incredible, that line is a perfect example. The sudden switch to high pitch takes me out
Please explain what that means...I really need to know. Hot, how???
@@BandiGetOffTheRoofShe's probably referring to having her home powered which keeps it warm during the winter.
She means it keeps her house hot in the local market, because the tables add to the aesthetic value of her home. WHEN THEY AREN'T DESTROYED BY F***ING EDDIE MUNSTER.
Him watching them closely and getting pre-mad about the questions he's knows they'll enevitably ask is so funny

I'm so mad about this!
Most of the instruction video's script seemed like it was AI generated lol
[voice breaking] they keep my house hot!
The delivery is so hilariously awkward, like she took an acting class from a Czech immigrant or something. If Patti isn't a big star in 5 years then I don't know what Hollywood has become
she's amazing. this and the investor show sketch where she got her money from a settlement after accidentally being sewn into the pants of the big charlie brown at the thanksgiving parade are possibly my two favourite ITYSL sketches
I’ll never get over “the tables are my corn”
Tables are her corn, and rats are to her what dogs are to Steven.

Robinson bracing himself for the inevitable questions that he knows are coming is the most underrated part of this sketch.

I agree, that's what makes it for me
Fingers to the temple
His facial expressions are the best part of the entire series
".... Guys, what did I say?"
“I just got screamed at by Freddie Krueger” is the best opener to any conversation ever.
One of the funniest lines of the whole show
Big big fan of “you don’t know how to treat the crypt keeper” too
Amen
All she said was that he should be ashamed of himself and that he's a fucking pig.
lmfao
Literally my favorite skit ever. Especially since I own a company that rents tables. I can't get over when she turns around to clean the tables while driving exclaiming "fuuuck they're so dirty". If I had a dollar for every time I've said that same sentence I wouldn't need to rent tables anymore lmao.
Would you say they keep your house hOt?
How often do you get yelled at by Eddie Munster?
wait what exactly is your job?
Do you know how to treat the talent?
Do you know how to treat the Crypt Keeper?
Freddie Kreuger called me a b*tch unprovoked.
The delivery of “oh my god, that’s why” is genuinely how that would go and I laugh every time
All I do now is say, “I’m so maaad about this! Faaaauuuuhhhk!” every time I’m inconvenienced or legit angry and it is amazing. Patti is superb.

I like that the news is spreading around the town.
Not now George…
I never knew renting out tables for conventions was such a cutthroat market
“Go to Hell, George, you fucking pig!”
Which rating is underrating George?
It gets even funnier when you realize the teacher knows her job is to rent tables to comic cons, and is choosing not to tell them.
Hahaha yeessss
Exactly. Because when you know it and rewatch this, it's less funny and more understandable.
He said didn't know if she was supposed to be the same person, so technically, he only knew for certain what the last woman's job was - and they didn't ask about her.
@@austinshinn9506 Yeah, when you rewatch it it's obvious what her job is. The performances are still hilarious though.
@@jvgreendarmok Oh it's gold
I love how he says the video is dated, but she has a completely modern phone and car
EXACTY what I was thinking
I think he's referring to the production values.
Omg, what a surreal detail. Like, usually these videos _are_ dated, but this one is clearly up to date.
We don't really deal in tables anymore though
Spoiler, they’re living in the future.
I love how she's scrubbing the smallest corner of the table with a random rag and chooses to do it while driving.
I think she's trying to see if it will come off. After all, the tables are her corn.
That one girl in the class who asks most of the questions is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in this skit. She has such good naturalistic reactions.
She's great. And I feel the girl wearing glasses in front of her is underrated. I love how she looks increasingly upset as the videos progress.

Netflix subtitles say “I cannot hear any more about tables!” which is a crime against comedy.
THIS IS THE MADDEST IVE EVER BEEN
Exactly what I came to say 😄
Such a weird phrase
@@saulgoodman7509 it's all good man
patti's delivery of that lamenting "fhuuuAAACK" is Oscar material
The craziest thing in this will always be that the instructor could easily just answer them (because he's seen it 1000 times!) but like so many of Tim's ITYSL characters he REFUSES to give up on his envisioned version of a social interaction no matter the cost. That first sketch of the series about forcing a door open the wrong way was basically a mission statement. I'm gonna reflect on that in my own life for a bit.
Possibly! I think the real reason is that the teacher is the one who actually made the video and realizes, that, after all his effort, he made a low-budget, badly-written, near-incoherent driver safety video that students get easily distracted by the B-plot of the tables, and can’t admit his failure.
I love his comment about “it’s the same actress, I don’t know if it’s the same character” because it’s like he’s so mad everytime he shows the video, he can’t retain any details
I think it's because he's done this class a thousand times and each time they get hung up on the tables. So no he's just sick of answering the question
C.A.R.S. standing for “Cars Are Really Safe” is such a great detail.
But there’s a caveat!
I died when I rewatched this and saw the “if you pay attention”
I die everytime the guy screams, "THIS IS THE MADDEST IVE EVER BEEN" Haha. But then nonchalantly decides to crash his car 💀
This is so underrated
I could see that part 100 times, I'll still laugh my ass off
also he's stopped, so driving into the car in front of him would had only been a fender bender anyways... but it's a crash and fills the screen with red lol
Reminds me of the angry lady in the car in Twin Peaks S3 lolol

Truly my favorite sketch of the series, and this might be my favorite sketch show of all time
agreed. this sketch is very underrated.
I was thinking about how one would explain this sketch to someone and it's pretty much impossible without watching it. I love how each sketch has so many layers.
This is so true!
This is a clinic on how line delivery is everything. This could have been the least funny thing I've ever seen if they didn't know how to deliver their lines, but every single one of them got me. "They didn't! All they said was 'Shoot'!"
Absolutely. There's no jokes in this sketch. The entire vibe is just funny.
Good editing, and the students' expressions were well done
One thing I've noticed about Tim is his delivery of line - he sells it so well, you never know HOW he's going to hit any given line but it always seems to be the funniest way to deliver it.
The girl student sounded genuinely satisfied when she learned what the job was.
the way the teacher realizes they're getting confused about the table and starts getting angry is too good lmao
Spot-on casting. Before this I can’t remember the last time I saw a group of teenage characters that actually looked like teenagers
Every time a customer at work is mean to me I hear “i just got SCREAMED AT by Freddy Krueger” in my head
I think the satisfying part of this sketch is finally knowing what her job is.
Definitely! Genius shit
"Oh my god, THAT'S why."
"Ssshhhhuuut up!"
You don't know if it's the same woman
Nah, the most satisfying part of this is realizing the entire video series is made by amateur horror fans trying to get into the film industry via some contract for a driver safety video. And then also wondering if the teacher had something to do with the production of it. And then wonder who financed the film and decided to cheap out and hire amateur b-movie horror fans. Like, the joke has a meta element as well on the audience watching the sketch and that's why it's brilliant, IMO.
