- With snow in the forecast, and determined to ride in every month in 2016, I wheeled my 1974 Nuovo Falcone out for a spin in the Eastern Ontario countryside. It was only a couple of degrees above freezing, but despite the chill, it was worth it.
Nick, thank you so much for transporting me from the Gulf Coast of TX to Ontario. Lovely road, reminds me of my home turf of southwest Colorado, and my youth. Have not had a bike out in nearly 3 weeks. Rain is supposed to stop Tuesday, so I will flick an electric starter and go for a run. Love the Nuovo Falcone. Stay safe.
Grazie Nick!
Thanks for sharing, inspires me to do the same with my jawa or enfield diesel..
Hey Nick nice to see you out on the old goose, thanks for the footage............they're forecasting a heatwave here in Sydney (Aust) next week so we wont be riding either !!!!
Î think it was an nice Trip for you,but why did you show us not the c omplete wonderful Italian-Bike ,that you ride?Only the Sound its great!!!
Hi Nick
I have an Eldorado 850 inspired by your rides and love it
Looking to buy an Nuovo Falcone
How does the Falcone compete with the Eldorado
If I do buy it what mods would you recommend
Love your videos
Rob
Hi Rob, I sold the Nuovo Falcone a few years ago. Great bike. I liked it but it was time to move on. The NF is a totally different animal to the Eldorado. It is not highway capable and is definitely a backroads/slowroads bike. It would cruise all day at 55mph, but with almost nothing left. Unique, charming and comfortable, but not a bike for dicing with modern traffic, whereas the Eldo is a fully usuable classic.
But how/where do you have the camera mounted?
I use various mounts. Chest harness, suction cups on the tanks, flexible arms attached to the cross bars etc. I try to mix it up.
I was so tempted to get an ex Italian military version - But got an SRX600 super single instead - I can definatly see the charm but the icky switchgear put me off
The original switches are easily replaceable with repro stuff. The feel is very different to your SRX600 - slower, clunkier, more archaic, but wonderful in it's own way.
Yes I had a BSA B33 which I think was 23HP - I imagine yours is much the same performance wise - Still have my SRX and have just done a full LED lights connversion its amazing
Nice video of a lovely bike. Did you find it in Canada ?
It was imported by an Italian fellow in Montreal. I bought it from him.
You were lucky to find it here, I can't find any for sale in Canada.... I think I will end up importing a Superalce from Italy.
I'd been looking for a while. It's not without it's issues (gearbox is a bit weird), and I replaced the valves/guides and had the cylinder honed, but it's very reliable and almost always a first kick starter. Slower than molasses though - but utterly charming.
Spare parts availability is my only real concern, are parts hard to get ?
I'm not bothered about speed, reliability is all I care about. I have an old CJ that's quirky too but I love it...

That CJ is very sweet! There were plenty of NFs in central Europe so parts aren't too hard to find. Lots of help through forums such as nuovofalcone.createaforum.com/
