I've been re-reading your books on Kindle and always appreciate your writing style. I'm going on 75 yrs. old and don't take as many trips by motorcycle as I used to, but it's nice to still get my fix of adventure through someone else. Best to you in '24 and beyond!
Heydavemyers1, many thanks. It's always great to hear when people enjoy my books. Stay well and ride safely. You're only as old as you feel.
Another great video, thank you
Thanks for the adventure nick .all the best 🎉
Thanks John. Have a great Christmas holiday.
I enjoy all your videos, keep 'em coming. And I love the sound of that old Guzzi. If I ever find an old Eldo cheap and close by it'll join my other two Guzzis.
Thanks Karl. 😊
After reading a few Real Classic articles I've downloaded all of your books from Audible, now I'm working my way through the videos.
Enjoying listening and watching, thanks Nick.
You're very kind Stuart. I hope they provide you with plenty of hours of entertainment. Not slick stuff, perhaps, but I hope, honest. Stay well. Nick.
Great trip. Looking forward to seeing more. ☺️
Thanks. Stay well.
Great stuff 👍 Enjoy your videos, thanks for posting.
Thanks Keith. 😊
Thanks
Always entertaining...and hopefully we all have a great 2024.
Best wishes
Thanks Andrew. Stay well.
Enjoyed it, Nick. Thanks!
Always enjoy your stuff nick 👍
Many thanks Richard 😃
Die not know that you have a Panther. Last time saw one was in UK in 1988 on the Way to Scotland with a California T3 :) So nice and relaxing your Videos ....
Thanks Reto. Sadly, I sold it later in the year. It was time it had an owner who wouldn't abuse it by riding on salt-soaked roads and soggy gravel. It went to a good home. Wonderful old plodder though.
Hello again Nik,
I agree and I disagree.
I think we are users not posers. With all due respect to the things we use. In those days things where made with the goal to use and to last.
But due to my krippled right leg I have to separate from my Ducatis as well.
As they have kickstarts only.
A 1982 Mike Hailwood replica and a 1975 750S with gear on the right side as well. Live is a history and some chapters sometimes are ending forever....
It's like therapy for a grumpy old Guzzi owner....thanks!
Haha. Who's the grumpy one - you or me? Many thanks.😁
What a great year!
I am looking forward to 2024.
See you next year!
Thanks Tiger. You too. Drop me a note if you're passing through.
@@nick949eldo I will definitely do that!
Likewise, if you are up in the South Georgian Bay area!
Very nice recap of the year's adventures. It was so relaxing I watched it twice and might watch again. Thanks Nick!
That's very kind (and amazing). Thanks.
Lots of nice trips you did again this year Nick ! They are routine trips for you and breadcrumbs for others like me to try to follow 🙂 Thank you !
Haha. Thanks. It was a good year, but there's always the desire for more.
Thanks for the video today capturing this year's rides. Looking out the window with a breezy 20F temperature. I won't be riding today. Like you I plan to ride my bike on some clear days this winter when I can.
Let's hope for mild days. Safe riding.
Thank you Nick 👍
And thank you Richard. Stay well.😀
Wow, that's a lot of miles of really full living. Great year!
Carpe diem eh? 😄
Thanks for an insightful 2023 Nick. I think that I read most of your books this year too which provided a fine escape from raising kids, working and providing inspiration for chasing a little adventure myself. Have a merry Christmas matey and all the best.
Mick.
Thanks Mick. And thanks for reading the books - most appreciated. Stay well and have fun. Being retired has its benefits. Have a great holiday yourself.
Thanks I needed that
Looks like you enjoyed some great motorcycling! Here's to 2024. I hope to work up my stamina in 2024 to a 250 mile one day ride!
2024 - it's just a number, like one's age. Keep active and ride safely.
@@nick949eldo Thanks Nick same to you
Always enjoy your videos and books. In September '24 a group of us are heading to the mountains north of Quebec City. If you have road recommendations we'd love to know about them. Especially gravel. Thanks!
Hi Mark, Thanks - glad you enjoy them. I've only passed through that area on the paved highways 362, 138, 175 and 181 so can't offer any gravel recommendations. It's lovely country though and you're unlikely to be burdened with traffic. Most of the gravel roads only show up on Google Maps if you drill right down. Don't ignore the coast road between Quebec City and Tadoussac (and further north-east). It's a main road, but plugged with historic houses and nice scenery. And 138 gets better and better past Baie-Comeau. Not testing riding, but great scenery. Have a great trip.
Thank you!!
What a lovely year for riding up north. I did a 1500km trip this summer, but I didn't film any of it... It was lovely to see your trips, I'm gonna take a look at the 5000 mile journey during the day!
How many bikes do you have?
Fun fact, I started this, my first ever video from your channel, because I thought I read "Nick Adams' Riding Gear". And during the video I thought - "when is he gonna talk about the gear?" I'm still not really awake I think.
Haha. I don't think I've ever done any gear reviews. A couple of wonky bike reviews - sure. I currently have three bikes: the Guzzi, a Suzuki Cavalcade and the Honda Pacific Coast. Sold the Panther in the summer..
Nice riding year Nick. Sure doesn't seem that long ago that last Winters snow had melted. Enjoyed the video Nick and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
Thanks Dewayne. Stay well.
Lovely summary of the year Nick, might do the same. Although my journeys have all been modest ones, it's been a victory just to have managed 3000 miles this year whilst fighting a long term health need. Cheers from Cornwall.
I would see that as a major achievement CMD. It's never about the miles. Staying well and doing what you love is where the triumphs lie. Best wishes for your health / recovery / management.
The thing I don't understand is why you have just a bit over 3k subs for your marvelous content it should be may times more .. Wonderful channel
You are too kind Stefan. Now, if I was a teenage girl with a German Shepherd..........😁
G'day Nick,
greeting from Down Under. Here is an idea on how to kill a few hours when you can't ride....Make a garage tour video. I would be very interested in watching that.
rsm8
Thanks bigjoe. I'll give it some thought, although my garage is a bit dull at the moment.
Do you get a lot of salt on the roads?
Quite a bit, mixed with sandy gravel, once it snows. But it washes of, and bikes have a longer life than old humans.
