Ahh, that’s an accessory bar, designed for bicycles. In theVMCC we use route rollers which clip to the bars, this makes it easier, you’ll see them on several of my bikes.
Mine will cruise at 70 and does about 58mpg if I ride at 50ish You have to use an awful lot of throttle to get to 74 though. Very easy starter and corners well. A more modern M21. There isn't a lot off torque low down, just a lot of flywheel. Folks confuse the two. Oh and set the tappets to 4 and 8 thou [10 and 20 in metric feeler gauge]. If set tight the exhaust valve gets hot and snaps in two......
