  • It was a tradition in British television for the various companies to produce Christmas Tapes for each other - compilations of out-takes, funny bits, sketches, in-jokes... and usually lots of footage of naked ladies to entertain the engineers.
This is a Border Television Christmas tape from sometime in the '80s (i think, it's difficult to tell with Border, they weren't the most modern of TV stations).
It's not the whole thing though as it contained a few minutes of gratuitous sex scenes... which I have edited out.
It contains some clips of a film starring Warren Mitchell and Roy Kinnear which I think is 'The Saga of Alf Garnett'

I think this is more likely to be from 1978 because of the ad for Co-op Cumbrian, advertising vouchers redeemable up to Christmas Eve that year. Besides, where's the proof that this is from the 1980s?

Definitely not 1980 as the news story references the Jeremy Thorpe affair
