I have been waiting for this film which delayed from a 2023 release due to the strike for a very long time. Glad to hear an 80s vibe and score (similar to Luca's Call Me by Your Name). Looking forward to seeing it.

Might be the first movie I go to see by myself since Birdman back in 2014/15 haha. Don't see anyone else but me being excited by this movie (in my friend group).

Luca is unlikely to miss, interesting to see some coming out of monkey man and some out of challengers.

What makes this movie rated R? Any sex scenes? If so what do they entail?
@JohnRocha There's A LOT of competition in the awards race so I don't think the actors will get nominated or the film will get major nominations. Not to mention luca's other film Queer with Daniel Craig is releasing in the prime awards season release slate later this year so it'should not happening.
Zendaya has to be careful that she doesn’t become the new Zoe Saldana or Zoe Kravitz, the light skinned actresses who don’t have love and support from black audiences. They became known as the token black in very white projects and black audiences didn’t support their movies because they were never in black cast movies and always had white love interests in every movie. It is an open joke that Saldana has never been in a movie where she has had a black male love interest so black audiences don’t her movies unless she is painted green or CGI blue. That is why there was so much fury when Saldana played Nina Simone a pro-black icon because not only did she not look like her but people thought she wasn’t even a pro-black person due to movie projects and her saying she wasn’t black despite clearly being an African heritage Latina. Zendaya has black audiences, which is why her movies do so well in the box office, but she won’t have them for long if she constantly being the black love interest for white guys and becomes viewed as the Hollywood ‘Bed Wench” like Kravitz and Saldana are viewed as.
I see what you’re saying, but what Zendaya does well is attend black spaces and support black projects. Also in Malcolm and Marie her love interest is also black. Plus she’s always worked with Law and Darnelle. I think she’s so well grounded in black culture that she’ll be fine.
Zendaya does well because she has all audiences. She’s mainstream. She’s global. That’s not from one demographics btw
@@LB-ih7hnI think it’s more projection. An actor should be able to do whatever role speaks them regardless of color. She said challengers was a “page turner” and that should be how actors picks scripts. Zendaya is really good about being relatable in general and that’s one of the reasons her fan base is big amongst all races
And all you named were biracials. I think people need to stop putting them in a box. And Zoe Saldana has a good career. If they called her that name it obviously stopped
Zoe is Latina okay so stop having her be apart of another ethnicity
