- We loved CHALLENGERS so much that we couldn't wait to share our out-of-the-theater reaction with you as soon as the studio's embargo lifted. This love triangle set in the elite tennis world will end up being one of our favorite movies of the year. Starring Zendaya, Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor. Directed by Luca Guadagnino ("Call Me By Your Name," "Suspiria," "Bones and All") from a script by Justin Kuritzkes. In theaters April 26, but we'll have a full review for you later today.

Good to hear. Zendaya has progressively gotten better with each acting performance & producing credit. Not sure we’ve seen a star with her unique look, background and resume thus far. I hope Denis does Cleopatra next with Zendaya!

This is sooo exciting! For my whole life I've hoped for a movie that could do justice to the feeling of watching a thrilling tennis match, following the game or even how it feels to play it. I'm so so so glad this movie worked for you, and I trust you guys so I really can't wait to watch it soon!
As someone that is on the final chapter of John Truby’s Anatomy of Genres [Love] this reaction lands differently for me.
I wasn't feeling the trailers for this so I'm incredibly intrigued by the reaction. Can't wait for the full review.

Did you see it yet? What did you think? I just saw it last night, I’d give it a 6.5 right after watching it. However, I like it more and more today for some reason. The chemistry was just awesome between the three of them

I was hoping that Luca would play with the time structure… and also sense that there will be twists and turns that the trailer does not even hint at.
Love Zendaya in Euphoria and been wanting to see Mike Faist again since his magnetic introduction in West Side Story.

I was looking forward to your reaction on this. Love it! Thought you might like this excerpt from the recent GQ with the composers: “Then Guadagnino brought them Challengers, which will be released this month. Reznor said, “He started us down a path, saying, ‘What if it was very loud techno music through the whole film?’ ” (This is exactly what it turned out to be.)”
“I wish I had his notes,” Ross said of Guadagnino. “His notes were so fucking funny on what each piece was meant to do.”
“Oh, yeah,” Reznor said. “ ‘Unending homoerotic desire.’ It was all a variation on those three words.”

As someone who grew up playing tennis and is a massive tennis fan I was excited when I heard about this movie but was disappointed when I saw the trailer because I thought it looked AWFUL! Happy to see good reviews for the actual movie.

Eager to see if this is "a good tennis movie" or like most the others, a good movie set in the world of tennis. 🎾 There is a difference!
This movie is coming out my birthday weekend so that's the only reason why I'm considering going to see the movie, but I'm hesitant. I thought King Richard was a good movie for streaming but it's not something I would go out of my way to see in the cinema. If I go see Challengers, I don't want to see the whole movie and then by the end be full of regret cuz I ended up not liking the movie. 🤔

I am a huge tennis fan and I have a hard time seeing 3 super skinny, non athletic / muscular people claiming to be tennis stars and coaches. I also am not interested in 2-somes / 3-somes... so perhaps i'll wait on this a bit more.

Best movie of the year so far? Better than Dune Part Two, Monkey Man, and Civil War.... I just can't see it. The trailer and clips I've seen have been underwhelming to say the least. Also, the in theater reaction to the trailer was met with groans and mocking laughter more than once.
