- This small laser engraver packs a BIG punch! It's as powerful as the X7 Pro I reviewed. But can it get the job done despite it's smaller size? Let's find out!

Is there a red dot for positioning? How do you positioning the laser to the correct position?
Hello, I am looking for a laser capable of adding text to small objects. Like painted metal for example. I guess this could do it, but it seems to me from this video that aligning small objects for printing is hard. Others are capable of showing a preview of what is being printed while this slowly moves around. Is it even possible to do fine line work on small objects with this? That would be my main use for a small laser.
Hi!, Can I ask you a question?, with mine, the Y-axis beam (in cantilever) came heavily tilted towards the opposite end, so the laser block starts a quarter of an inch above the flat surface and it ends touching it at the other end due to the tilt of the beam!. Is there a way to fix this tilt?, It almost seem surreal to me that they designed it in cantilever and they didn't leave a way to fix any tilt misalignment, any ideas?
Nice video and review, I would love to see a video were u add a laser MOD to the Aquila 3d printer and being able to use the 3D Printer as a laser cutter/engraver a kind of interchangeable 3Dprinter / laser cutter. A video like that would be awesome.
You’re not the first person to ask for that actually. The integration would be somewhat interesting actually. Only issue is time. Not opposed though
They make one for the ender 3
Very cool. I've been wanting these but I'm so afraid of using lasers. What about safety, like glasses and stuff. You can't use these indoor can you, unless you have an exhaust set up right?
Yeah I mean you are literally burning holes in stuff. So indoor without an enclosure with an exhaust just won’t work. As far as glasses, they claim the window over the laser removes all the harmful rays but even then, I would buy a pair, just to be safe.
I’ve had some mini “fires” when a material can’t handle the power of the laser AKA when I turned the power up too high. So technically, you need to be there for these. Can’t quite leave them like a 3d printer.
Is this P9 M50 compatible with Air Assist and R9 Roller? If it's compatible, I really wish to see them using in action. Thanks in advance! 🙏🏻
Try putting some sort of opaque contact paper on the clear acrylic.
I’ve tried. Even did both sides. I wonder if dry erase marker would work? Maybe that’s why they include it?
Never to old for Tom & Jerry
Haha. Used to be my favorite.
@@3DPrintSOS I love Tom & Jerry and all the old classics. Road Runner & Wiley Coyote, Bugs Bunny, Sylvester & Tweety, that stuff never gets old.
Bring on the lasers.
have you tried using dry moly spray to engrave acryllic?
it does the same as a whiteboard marker but it works better. just be sure to shake it well and let it dry before you engrave whereas with whiteboard markers you can do it straight away
I haven’t even heard of this product! Looking it up now. Thank you!
MOAR LAZERZ!
for acrylic use spray chalk, or wash really well with iso and dust with baking soda or for speed using laser printer toner for a color etch CYM
Really? That’s great. Is it possible to make a cut with any of these tricks or only engrave?
@@3DPrintSOS only engraving and it's kinda lite you can't cut as once your past the surface it's clear so it just passes the light
Ah I see. But still, better than what I achieved. I essentially just warped and melted it. 😂
What a cool little MTG life counter.
Yeah it is! I couldn’t help but to make it once I saw it!
What about white board markers ?
Wait, is that what they are for?
@@3DPrintSOS They might work to engrave clear plastic since they rub off easy. It was just an idea.
I gotta give that I try! Thank you.
