Hope you all enjoy your M9A4's. I'm pretty sure I made Beretta release this pistol. I say that because they introduced it RIGHT AFTER I bought an M9A3 đĄ Oh well, I still like mine. I'd really consider an M9A4 Centurion but I know if I buy one.... they will make an A5 LOL.
I purchased the 92X RDO Compact, for carry, I do intend on painting the front sight with hi-res paint. Other than that, it is my first carry pistol, for all but hot summer months, that duty will be taken by my new Sig P938. Good video, thanks for sharing.
I never run Magtech because of the many issues I've had with it. I run AAC, PMC and even Winchester 2nds and have not had a single malfunction on my Beretta m9a4 in about 2,300 rounds. I will update in a few months when I've passed 5,000.
I found my Beretta M9A4 on sale for $825. Going to change out some springs, trigger shoe, hammer and trigger bar. Will probably push my investment closer to $1000. Now as far as performance, my M9A4 has been 100% spot on. About 800 rounds through and Zero failures. Extremely accurate. However, I do have some trigger time behind hammer fired guns. I prefer them over striker fired. To me, striker fired guns are okay but just okay. They are all the same to me. I do use red dots on my other guns but will not be putting an optic on my M9A4. I love the sights that came on my gun. But I may change mine out with a blacked out rear sight and a fiber optic front sight.
If shooters are having reliability issues, it's probably because the weapon isn't being cleaned regularly they're using cheap ammunition. It's usually user error in 99% of the time.
I have a Beretta M9A3 and a CZ P07 Gen 2. My P07 has the Cajun Reset Kit but my stock M9A3 has a better reset and a better single action overall. The CZ's double action is better and its reliability is way more supreme than the M9A3. I have never had any jams with my P07 but with my M9A3 I have had double feeds and failures to eject. I don't know if it's was my recoil spring or the cheap ammunition that I shot with.
I notice a lot of aftermarket add-ons. How about a video going over some of those and what improvements they make, if any (trigger, takedown lever, light, omnivore holster, etc.).
Mine wonât load 18 rounds in 2 of the magazines that came with it and they are supposed to be 18 says it on them, and the one that does load 18 rounds wonât seat in the gun if the slide is closed why ?
the ones that arent loading 18. is there a rivet in the mags? or perhaps a block at the bottom. a lot capacity capped ones are the same mag but just pinned or blocked. and it should seat with a full mag and action closed, but sometimes its just tighter and you gotta put some man into it to get it to seat. theres not as much give when the mags completely full and just makes it "tighter"
I didnât knock the gun because of one random round that wasnât loaded correctly. In fact, I like the gun a lot, itâs one of my favorites. Just because I noticed some simple improvements that could be done by the manufacturer doesnât mean I donât think the gun is great overall. Iâm just pointing out some things that people may or may not be aware of if they never handled one and are looking to spend a lot of money on. I have no problem pointing out improvements or issues with any of the guns I own or have owned. Iâm not sponsored and donât have any emotional connection with any manufacturer that would keep me from putting out my observations. If I pay good money for a gun, Iâll let my viewers know exactly what my experience was with whatever gun is in front of the camera. Like I said, it is a great gun overall and with a little practice, it will be a favorite for many people.
Most people, not all but most, are very reluctant to train with a good looking gun that cost them a lot of money. When I say training I mean the type where guns will get hit, scratched, and banged up, not just shooting at the range for 45 minutes. With a $1k+ gun, I bet a lot of people wonât sign up to do that. They will take a $400-$500 gun and will be more likely to risk the surface damage. Just like people that have new mall crawlers vs a guy who has a 20 year old secondary driver who will risk a few scratches to go off road.
All these people knocking magtech. Iâve shot thousands of rounds with no issues. Is there better ammo? Yes. For the price? Eh. Itâs range and training ammo not anything youâd load to trust your life with

You said a mouthful lol. Made me chuckle

nice little range set up there! glad you came back for the 1000+ round follow up.

Thank you for the comment, look forward for the update.

Where did you find one on sale for $825!?
Thatâs a crazy price. Iâm looking at $1100 for the centurion
The Dlah optics plate. Is the best and lowest mounting option available. Outside of sending it to Langdon Tactical.

Buys expensive gun
Shoots the cheapest ammo instead of reliable amm9
The M9a3 is a gem.

Mag tech ammo is far from decent. I would put the malfunctions down to poor ammo quality and not anything to do with the gun itself. M2CW
Magtech ammo is super dirty and nasty
red river tactical can make custom kydex level 2 custom for any set up
Just picked one up for $850 and got the $75 rebate. Great gun for $775
Where the hell was this deal at
I would also like to know

Yea I could only find mine for $1099.99 and I looked everywhere
No tax either right, and a leather holster and can of ammo. That was my deal.

Good idea, I will probably do one about the light and holster as there are a lot of videos about the trigger parts out there.

need stronger thumbs. would highly recommend a speed loader
Advice - Dont knock the gun because you use cheap ammo...magtech is bottom feeder ammo.

What holster are you using at the range?
Omnivore Blackhawk holster that takes the TLR-HL lights.
Its a $1,100 pistol. So don't use cheap ammo....9mm ammo is inexpensive enough, lol.
Not nowadays it ainât đ, but it is a great gun and like you related, with good ammunition it will serve anyone just fine
Have you shot 105 grain ammo with it?
No I have not, just have 115gr and up
It's not a good 1st gun because it's expensive? That doesn't seem like a good reason.
