My 92FS is 30 years old. I am the original owner. I use it every day as an Armed Service Technician with an armored car company. Others have tried and even bust my chops about it. I love it and will not change it. Thanks
ITS A TANK!!!! I love that gun
id also carry the 92fs if i did that kind of work, i haven't found anything that shoots better out of the box
Why change? It's a great pistol.. I have a 92FS Inox.. love it
I’m a Beretta junky, I have the A4, XI,APX A1, and a basic M9. I love them all. I bought the XI because it functions similarly to the 1911, that I also have a passion for.
I purchased my 92F in 1997 when they first became available. Still have it, conceal carry it every day. Never had a problem with it ever. Great gun
You can get a better purchase on the slide by racking it properly instead of using your two fingers at the rear of the slide. The reason your hands are getting torn up by the stipling is because your grip is too loose and the gun moves in your hand each time you shot. That causes you to change your grip creating shot inconsistencies.
Yup, use the overhand c-clamp when racking the slide...much stronger grip that way
Such a great video presentation and a wealth of information. I was on the fence until I watched this. Thanks brother. 😎
My first handgun. Bought in 2009, still have it and it’s never had one malfunction. It’s a great gun
I personally don't like modifications on vintage models. Beretta 92FS is my favorite always.
Thanks for the info, I enjoyed your video…I purchased a M9A4 yesterday waiting to pick it up
Bought a lightly used M9A3 and it’s been great. So easy to shoot well.
92 FS is good enough for me time tested and proven reliable...
I agree!
This dude said the grips hurt his hands. Firing that thing like a 357. You’re the real deal enthusiast
He was jump scared every shot lol
For the press check, i was taught to the the old "got your nose". A finger on either side of the slide in front of the safety, and your thumb on the end of the beaver tail, squeeze your thumb towards your palm slightly. The army shooter's corner video is a good one to check out
Maybe I'm also a little biased myself, I enjoyed firing the 1911 while in the Army and was issued a 92FS when I started my Security job when I got out. I enjoy taking my 92 to the range for both "fun" and to do my yearly quals. The M9A4 looks nice and I can see how some may like the new additions, but for me, I'll stick with the 92FS.
I watched a short some guy posted of unpacking the M9A4 and I instantly had to have it. The only thing I didn't like about it was I got what some ppl call a California compliant version that only came with 10 round mags. So I went out got the OEM 17 round mags and sold the other ones on Ebay. I was super stoked that it did come with 3 magazines when so many other brands only come with 2. I liked the aggressive grips I took it to the range and put 300 rounds thru it and they seemed to give me better control on the recoil. I got mine from a little Amish gun store here in Cub Run, KY brand new for $950. He didn't have it in the store so he ordered it for me. With the tax if my memory serves me right it still came in at under a grand. The whole gun just oozes sexy and the accuracy is reminiscent of my Army days as an MP. Definitely worth what I paid! 😊
I love that story! Great find and great gun!!
Found a deal on the same CA compliant model. In Texas. Paid just under 800$ hell 3 ten rounders are great for the range makes my ammo last longer.
@@Anggon5 Thats a good deal was it used?
Just got a pristine A4. Previous owner put nice G10 grips on the gun. I am eager to get it to the range.
I bought my 1st 92FS (Italian made) back in 1984ish? Anyway, From the factory it fit my hand perfectly! I do have larger hands so this ergonomics was quite revealing to me. Since then I still own that 1st 92 but have added another 2 models of the 90 series. 1 in 9mm and the other in .40S/W which is my nightstand "go to" tool. The other has the bottom rail which is fitted with a green laser/optic which is just about prefect for me! I guess I just like the all metal design of this series. I also have/own a XDM in 5.5" barrel configuration. It too is a lovely handgun in .40S/W.
I’ve done quite a few upgrades to my ole 92FS, including a red dot. It’s pretty amazing. I have no plans to invest in another handgun for competition shooting. If I’m off, it’s me, not the gun. It’s badass.
The M9A4 is my first non-Glock semi-auto pistol and I love it. I got the LTT trigger job in a bag I'm adding to it tomorrow and a suppressor and I'm pretty sure this will be be my new goto.
Good video, I went to get my first all metal hammer fired pistol and the LGS had a 92x Centurion and a 92x RDO compact I really wanted the Centurion! I went back the next day to buy it and of course it was sold so I bought the Compact. I love it and it's my main CCW now. I really want to get all stainless steel controls for it including the barrel, I think it would look sweet with the black frame and slide..!
I’m from Cali so I can only get the m9a3 black version but because of cost I am settling for the 92fs this will be my first gun
You will not be disappointed!!
M9A3 is not California compliant. M9A1 is.
EXCELLENT quality video
I appreciate that my friend!
The M9 needs the Decocker on frame like the Taurus 92.
Upon registration of firearm i believe that beretta gives you an option of 1 of the 4 common plates that they will send you for free
LUCKILY I have both, M9A4 is my end of the world gun.
92fs Inox is the first gun I bought and holds sentimental value. Got a little work done to that one though.
Same here!!! The 92FS is just so so sweet
M9A4 has more tactical possibilities, but M9A3 has a more beautiful design. That's all.
Do you know the weight comparisons between the M9A3 and m9a4?
@@keananruiters9373 No, but even if there are differences in weight because of that plate on the slide on A4, it does not matter at all.
Picked up m9a4 from pawn shop. Are internals the same? Thinking of getting spring kit from mcarbo to use for matches. What do you think? Thanks in advance
I prefer the grip shape and angle of the 92FS. It's more comfortable and natural to my hand and wrist. It's more accurate for me, right out of the box. The A4 appears to have a straigher 1911 angle but without the palm swell. That would take getting used to.
I didn't really notice that. I felt it shot the same as the 92fs
Buy em both
Can you get replacement parts for this gun like you can get for the 92fs
I've been carrying the Vertec frame for 24 years. I'm going to choose it every time over a conventional 92/96 frame. I come from a 1911 background so the Vertec is like holding another woman with the same shape. I have both frames across 6 different Berettas so it's the Vertec for me and not necessarily this M9a3 or a4 form. I have that too. Overall you can't go wrong with any Beretta
It's an amazing company.
Can you elaborate on why you don't prefer a red dot ready slide? Given that provides you the option to use a red dot or not, I can't see what the downside would be.
I love red dots. I don't like the option for this gun just strictly from a looks point of view. I think a red dot on a rounded slide would look silly. But to each their own!
@@jeffofalltrades8489 I think if you're going object to feature of a firearm PURELY based on aesthetic preference, you should make that clear in your videos.
92x has all 3 sizes at FS prices…. Can’t beat it
I like that. How it pops back up. That is how I carried mine in Iraq.
Isn’t MSRP the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price? So why would that vary according to my location?
Same way cars are different prices depending on the dealership
Seriously?
... Ummm key word: "SUGGESTED".
Store prices are rarely priced at MSRP.
Aloha from Hawaii, where did you get that T-shirt its my House I need to Defend it!! Reply Back!!
Great video and information, but you’re killing is with the background music
Which one? Neither.
The WC 92G Brigadier Tactical w/low profile single side decock lever, WC mag guide, benchworked trigger, WC buffer, and GemTech threaded barrel IS the correct answer.
Can you do a review on the PX4 Storm?
If you send it to me I will! Lol I don't think my wife will let me buy another gun right now 😅
@@jeffofalltrades8489 If I had one to spare, I would.
"If you're going to spend a thousand dollars on a gun . . ." I would rather skip a couple of range days, and put the money toward one of the Langton Tactical variations. Better trigger, better optics cut, similar decocker-only, also with an accessory rail. Also, FDE always makes me think of wet cat vomit, and looks like crap when the finish starts to wear.
You got soft hands boy- some old man
They ruined Beretta m9 with a3 and a4. Looks so weird now. Completely killed classic look and aesthetically pleasing lines. Look at that weird grip angle. I think best Beretta you can get is m9a1
2 dislikes this gun has, first it should have a safety & decocker, 2nd it should have come with the plates for different optics. The n M9a5 must come with these changes & more, a compact version will be great, the M9a5 Centurion 😊
I couldn't agree more! You're going to spend 1,000 lbs on a gun and then you have to buy the plates?!?! Give me a break....
👍
I bought an M-9/92 FS back in 96. Paid $500.00 for it. I had the slide milled for a red dot and now have a vortex red dot on it. Just bought a threaded barrel for it. Love this pistol. Carried one in military and as a civilian working for the Navy. About the only thing I wish I had was a picatinny rail for accessories. But, I can live without it.
The answer: 92x
Get the music in background slower
1k is still an awful price for the M9A4, Bereli has them for $850 its where I got mine at a few months ago, they are still on sale on their site for $850
Price aside its a fantastic pistol, you shouldve had a rebate card in the case for a free optics plate when you verify purchase with Beretta.
Good tip! I'll have to look for that!
You may not be of a fan of it, but you certainly are blowing a lot of hot air. 🤷🏼♂️
I prefer the 80x cheetah
A beretta can shot 30k + rounds and still counting.👍😊
My first gun, and it still shoots like brand new!!!! I love the brand
I like beretta just fine, but I’ve always noticed the barrels ALWAYS get super hot, even after just 3 shots. But good guns for sure.
Good hand warmer in the winter time
