This is really good man you should definitely apply this to audio books because half the pictures that the code grabs a meme and most of the time what you are saying in the video + the memes picture = a laugh 😂
I personally think it would've been nice for the transitions to literally be jumpcuts, rather than a bunch of slides on the screen at once. It's more "video"-y.
Yeah. The slides feel a bit cheap in my opinion.
I'm sure the slides are only there to illustrate the concept for this video.

For this, I think jumpcuts are great. I just hate jumpcuts in recorded footage (audio or video, both are bad)

Yo, that's an awesome result! I can see pretty much room to increase the range of this project in order to make better videos.
You could for example add some symbols to convey the relationship (hierarchy, logical results, ... ) of different script snippets
Now instead of having a generic slideshow, use machine learning so you can generate a generic video with only sound, transcript and google images as input.
And then get the neural network to also make a thumbnail trained on thumbnails and the tags of videos.
CZcams will be a automatic mosnter
Just generate the sound from the transcript or the other way around.
Oh, and make the transcript from a few sentences by using ML like GPT-2.
I'm not entirely sure that's not the case with MANY videos already.
I was thinking about attacking a gpt-2 thing to like a text-to-speech to make 99% automatic podcasts but I guess I can use the Google images thing carykh did and make 99% automatic CZcams videos

That's pretty neat, the next step should be to have a way to edit the list of images, as in, if there's an image you don't care for you can just pick another one from the search results quickly, so ideally you could even go through every "scene" and quickly pick whichever pic you like best.

I'm honestly surprised I haven't seen some fake news spambot already doing this. I mean, they might be, but I haven't spotted it. And in your results there's definitely something identifiable about the random barely-contextual images that sometimes appear.

The case was slightly different; where they were obviously shuffling a curated pool of Democrat and Republican stock images, the main purpose of the bot was to cycle after effects templates to make the videos visually distinct.
Cary's bot makes content dynamically for the topic. So it could be about anything. You just need a human to write.
But yeah, I guess it does already exist in a form. Hooray...

People constantly upload material as cc-0 despite it containing copyrighted material all the time, there's no safe way to do this besides using an image library you know you have the rights to like a stock image site you have a license for.
E.g.

@@GRBtutorials I said you'd need a license, you'd use Google images to find the image you want because it's a great search engine, then once you have the page for the image you want you use the api to get the not watermarked version.

Great program. If there's anything I'd improve it's the time the images are on the screen. They should have longer screentime each so the viewer can take them in before they move away again.

It’s definitely a great tool, but you should revome the animation, it’s just confusing, and having the pictures show up abruptly would be better

Does your Google search history affect the content of the photos? For example are words that are commonly used in many different fields going to be auto selected based of your implied preference due to past usage?

Just an idea: making the imager only use a small portion of the words (stuff like 'and' would go away for example), you'd reduce a lot of the clutter.

I have always wondered, is it possible to write a script to generate those askreddit videos? You know, the ones where a computer generated voice reads off the top comments in a hot askreddit thread, while a picture of that comment is slowly revealed in time to the narration? The part where you find a voice program to read hot replies to different threads would not be too difficult, but the visual aspect might be tricky.

That's pretty cool. You could also use it for common sequences like when your programming guy is banging the table.
For the next project, make a deep learning system that learns from all your previous videos, and then just input a voice-over, and it produces the video for it from what it has learned ^^
I think something like 2MinutePaper's new system for deepfakes would be relevant, as it seems to understand vectors and a bit of 3D, instead of just deciphering arrays of pixels without the aid of cleaner intermediary representations.
Well anyways, what would be good for the current system is a simple video-editor, where you can pick an image from a set of images, and decide what transition you want between images. This system is really something that would benefit from a GUI.
