This means it's legally possible to copyright claim a video that only plays a single word of the song. In fact, if you're writing a book and attribute the word "and" to the lyrics of a popular song, you need to pay a license for the entire song for every book you sell.

Just abolish copyright and fund the arts publicly. The company takes most of the copyright money anyway, so the artist sees very little of their profits. No walking on eggshells to avoid copyright claims, no starving artists, no BS legalese. Win win win!
