I was going to go into life insurance. After passing all the exams and starting to work in the industry, I decided my knowledge would be better served on the other side. Things haven't changed much in the years since.
Cartoon villains usually have a better reason than quarterly earnings.

The largest lobbying groups in the US are 1) pharma, and 2) insurance companies.
USAA is okay. But yeah, overall company adjusters are straight up awful. The turnover rate for the low level guys is huge.
My son works for a home me insurance company here in Australia. He is constantly stressed at his job because he's always trying to fight for his clients. His supervisors and his bosses I always trying to find a way to weasel their way out of paying people or helping people . Every time he has a staff review he's always in trouble for fighting the bosses for his customers. He always feels so bad. He is scared the next time he has a review that he will get fired for constantly trying to battle the higher ups at his company . Sometimes you feel so bad he just wants to quit. He loves his job but he hates the way the company is always trying to weasel their way out of things. And he is part of the Frontline team that have to give people the bad news
I'm Aussie and as he was discussing insurance I was thinking "wow that sounds worse than our insurance guys". Interesting to hear it's an issue here too cause I've had easy experiences with insurance consistently.

Oomp, hire a third party inspector to fight your insurance company for you. They get paid from your insurance company, they will get you the most money and make sure all damage is accounted for and addressed.
We just contacted an insurance inspector recently hoping I can finally put this behind me. It's been a long 6 months

I remember getting a Community Guidelines warning back in 2020 and it was said to stay on my channel permanently. But it was only in mid-2023 when CZcams FINALLY made it able for the warning to expire, so my 3-year-old warning was gone within 3 months last year.
Should've made that able to expire from the beginning.

I work at an indoor environmental company that does mold remediations and the best thing to do is get 3rd party clearance testing and inspections done if you are having trouble with the company. It costs more money, but the insurance should cover it and it will ensure that everything is done right and safe to be in the house. Most companies will do just enough to cover up the mold or just remove the obvious contamination, but they can't get away with that if someone clearance tests and oversees the whole project is being done to protocol.
Mold remediation is a scam lol.

@sleuth2077 there's mold in every inhabited structure. I'm a mycologist by trade. I'm very familiar. Maybe your company is legit, but probably 90% of them are scams. They come and take an air sample, and then use scare tactics in an attempt to get you to buy a bunch of services you don't actually need. But you probably already know that. There are cases where it's actually needed, but the vast majority of cases are purely cash grabs.

We had just bought our first house and had to deal with Insurance two months in …. Our roof collapsed after 50” of snow (along with many other houses in the neighborhood) the insurance company was horrible to deal with.
My house burnt down 2 years ago and insurance didn’t cover ANY of it cause it was from our fireplace they labeled as a “decoration” when it burnt down from being used to HEAT OUR FING HOUSE. Yeah insurance is absolutely trash when it comes to certain types/companies.

It’s so interesting and sweet seeing more of Kris’s mannerisms coming through in Caleb and more of Caleb’s mannerisms coming through in Kris in their videos. It may be the cynic in me, but it really does seem that it is less about the specific image and more about the specific topic of the video in question. Wouldn't be surprised to find out down the track the youtube top brass have been to some of these infamous "afterparties" and have recently found out about the hollywood level of camera and sound recording equipment in each room...
We literally, like this month, just closed out an insurance claim and repair process from the exact same situation.. toilet overflowed, black water situation, all three floors needed repairs... 100% of our floors replaced, about 40% of our sheetrock, etc. A nightmare, as you correctly noted, doesn't even begin to describe it. I feel for you, man.

You know what youtubers love? Taking the most basic and shallow advice from a literal no one
I have a special disdain for insurance companies. I worked as an estimator and managed auto body shops or collision centers for about 15 years. I had to deal with 20-30 vehicles being repaired at any given time and almost every one had an insurance claim. Some companies are better than others. Trying to advocate for the customer and get the insurance to pay to fix the vehicle correctly can be like squeezing blood from a black hole. There were certain insurance adjusters who had a reputation for arguing and not paying for stuff that was obviously part of the claim. I don't regret leaving that industry.
I ended up paying $7,000 out of pocket just to avoid an on going battle with my auto insurance after a hit and run.... They made me feel like I had to grovel down on all 4, beg and plead, kiss their feet and sell my soul just to get some help

@@RjeanUrah My car mysteriously developed a dent in the side. It was obvious someone side swiped me, but the doors still work and scrapes can be buffed out. Contacting insurance about it would just raise my premiums for no gain. It's only useful for if the car gets seriously damaged and satisfying legal requirements.

I was a maintenance guy at the apartment complex I lived in. We had a backup over the 4th of July weekend that was next to vacant apartments on both sides. I was going to paint the place Monday morning. I unfortunately didn't think anything of the smell before opening the door.

They need to say “hey, this is against such and such rule. Remove it from the video with our built in Studio tools.” and only strike if you don’t comply or constantly break the same rules knowingly. They have it this way so they can choose to ruin any channel for any reason, basically. Same logic should be applied to comments, and instead of them just removing it snd saying "we fe.ovrd a comment that broke community guidelines read the guidelines here:" without an example of the comment infuriate me. I leave a lot of comments, I've read the guidelines like 30 times; and I try to not break them in my comments. How am I supposed to know what I'm doing wrong if they give such useless vague warnings

Having worked in customer service, my thoughts are that they don’t have the clearance to remove the strike and are trying to explain their way out of it to satiate you, or it’s potentially an ego thing

I live in Hawaii with my husband and two little kids. We CONSTANTLY have power outages. Some of them are hours to a day long. We have (had) USAA home insurance and out of the dozens of power outages we claimed 3 times for food spoilage. They dropped our insurance after the 3rd claim. 😅
